Man if they had the push button double lock, I would be all over that...

We need Lock picking Lawyer on theses, I don't like the idea of double sided, when I trained with cuff we were always taught to point the key hole away from the hands, makes it alot harder to pick
@CoxysPicks Жыл бұрын
You don't need LPL. These cuffs are super easy to pick and shim. I can shim free from these in just over 1 second. They also have a cool exploit to attack via the window. I demonstrate it here : kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWjWemh_YqiLrNU

I like the new asp handcuff, I've used them about 30 times. I like how you can put someone in cuffs faster. so you don't have to push down as hard. but one thing I like the most about the cuff are the key holes on both side.

The entire reason I stopped carrying my "standard issue" M1's and M100's Smith & Wessons and switched to ASP's was because THIS CHANNEL showed me the revised version of the cuffs which have the button press double lock feature. Not having to struggle to get a double lock? No more awkward bending over and reaching around with a pin key? YES PLEASE. These cuffs look neat and have a decent appeal, but buddy nothing is going to make me ditch my button lock feature.

My main issue with ASP was the cheesy 1 key only. I was able to get two extra from the company but they did not see how stupid it was when the more popular S&W/Peerless and even knock offs all come with two keys.

In this day and age why are they still made of metal ? With the technology we have today isn’t there a material that can replace metal handcuffs, or are they still a torcher device ?🌟😇🇦🇺
@lorddoof3370 Жыл бұрын
Because someone jacked up on meth can probably slip out of plastic or carbon fiber pretty easily, plus the point of handcuffs was never comfort it's literally to restrain someone.
@paynekiller75 Жыл бұрын
@@lorddoof3370 That too, but mostly just the cost to benefit ratio simply isn't there to justify making most handcuffs out of anything other than steel. Not to mention that over time steel will (generally) be more durable than most plastics and or carbon fibers... barring perhaps some exotic plastics/carbon fibers, but then they'd be quite expensive. This is particularly true with the components on the interior that are constantly coming in contact with one another (the ratcheting system, especially). They need to be steel on those parts; kind of like how many components on firearms can indeed be made of polymer, sure, but some will always still need to be made of steel.

Because you need a material that has the strength to keep someone from breaking out of them while also keeping them from breaking after 1 year of use. (Some of asps models are plastic and they crack over time. You also have to keep in mind your cuffs are going to be exposed to the elements blood/biohazard and can bang into things evey day.
