Queen Elizabeth is a queen regnant (not to be confused with a queen regent, which is yet another type of queen). A queen regnant is a ruling queen, meaning, a queen who is not the wife of a king (a male sovereign or monarch of a nation), but is the sovereign / monarch herself. When Queen Elizabeth dies, her eldest son, Prince Charles, will be taking over for her. He will be the next sovereign /monarch, and will become, in the instant that she dies, a king. Camilla will become known as Queen Camilla, but she will be a queen consort (the wife of a king), not the actual sovereign. There is simply no path for Camilla to replace Queen Elizabeth.

She does a wonderful job of dressing the Queen, her dresses and outfits are absolutely beautiful, always elegant and timeless with gorgeous fabrics. I was a seamstress for years and I would have loved to have had a job like that too. But I was married for 42 years and my husband died of cancer and we fought it hard for two years. Now I am helping my daughter who is a Pulmonologist raise her daughter. So I couldn’t have done it but it would be a nice job.

This is the character that everyone should strive for. It is so hard to find people like this. I never knew this about Angela Kelly but it explains a lot. It's the same with Prince Philip. There was a time where people came from humble beginnings but they developed character and principles of: truthfulness, loyalty, personal standards, honor, standing their ground, letting money be secondary to who you are and the greatness you're striving for. Having received Angela Kelly's book about dressing Queen Elizabeth I found it a polite but very heavily edited tome. There was a lot of conjecture and I'm always leery of "inside" this or "tell all" that. The queen's confidante, Mary MacDonald, appeared to be the only other person of non-royal lineage that the queen trusted and the only one to call her "Lillibet(s)". Both women are at the top of their given fields. Being at the top can be a lonely existence. Despite all of the scandals that have plagued the queen, I do believe she is in possession of a shrewd ability to interpret people. It appears that Ms. Kelly has brought meaning, comfort, and perspective to the queen's rather lonely life. And should someone ever have the temerity to produce a video or book about "the inside", please let history be the voice and arbiter of the truths.
