Likely to be the most straight talking, fact giving, information I have ever heard !!! The subject is not one I suffer personally but my partner was a nurse for 40 years and delt with geriatric patients all of that time, so you can imagine the load she has had to bear regarding this condition. It is very reasuring to know that the risk to life is minimal unless there are complications and I would like to Thank Dr Daniel Char for the consise narration on the video.

Maybe a stupid question. When you destroy (with the treatment) the damaged vein, how the blood travel back?

I keep researching and am told if we close up one vein, it puts pressure on others and we are in the same boat again. Other veins are compromised. This is from doctors, too.

Echotherapy has now replaced Endovenous Laser Ablation Therapy. Transluminal Occlusion of Perforators is a procedure to treat incompetent perforators. Ultrasound Foam Guided Sclerotherapy should be carried out to finish off these treatments. I have had all of these at The Whiteley Clinic in London in 2018 and haven’t looked back after eight solid years of leg ulcers, which were only just managed by our UK NHS. Best money I ever spent. My CVI developed 15 years after a freak blood clot in my left leg at the age of only 36 caused through the contraceptive pill. I went from nothing to leg ulcers with no symptoms in between. It transpired that I had hidden varicose veins after an Endovenous Duplex Ultrasound Vein Mapping Scan. I was and still am an extremely fit, slim and athletic runner, yet still developed a blood clot and CVI. I’m now 90% improved…no swelling and no ulcers. You’re so right about people claiming to be vein doctors when they’re not. Some of the stuff I read on certain vein sights has me horrified.
