The battery compartment is also a huge improvement. I always found it to be a hassle on the original model. Not worth buying just to upgrade for me, but would certainly recommend this to anyone.

My cat is the ultimate mouse and mole trap. I remember watching her one day pulling a mole out of it's own hill, never have any mice or mole problem thanks to her. The downside though is that she's such a good hunter that she's also able to catch baby rabbits and birds.

I have this trap and I love it. I saw mice go down an open AC vent so I put it next to it. Caught 7 mice in one day. In two days there were no more mice. I could hear the buzzing from the next room. But i got a straggler a week later and didnt notice and stunck it up so mobile notifications would be nice.

I got one for $39 at Menards last week. I set it up but mistakenly used peanut butter as they reommend and went5 days with nothing but an 'activity notice (no kill). This morning I reset it with birdseed sunflower seed and some cracked corn in the end of it. SO far today I have TWO KILLS. Last one being about 15 min ago. ONce you zero in the bait, it's great. Two Thumbs Up.

I think I'll have to look into that wifi enabled trap. I had the 1st generation Victor electronic trap, and it worked well to an extent, but at some point the last shock wound up draining the battery and as a result, it didn't have enough energy to power the light that indicates when a mouse has been caught. So, imagine my surprise when I opened the trap thinking that I just needed to refresh the bait, only to find the desiccated husk of a long-dead mouse literally fused through decomposition into the structure of the trap itself. It was so gross and such a mess I had to junk the entire trap rather than attempt to clean it.

This Victor Victor Electronic Mouse Trap Model #: BM250S works so well that I gave one to my neighbour (since the same mouse population inhabits our shared building). We both use bits of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups for bait (less messy and longer-lasting than peanut butter) with a few crumbs placed at the traps' entrance as a lure. The BM250S has proven to be a convenient, bang-for-the-buck option if the aim is to get rid of the occasional mouse in the most humane way possible and if the trap is located in a spot where its LED can be seen at a glance.

Nope. I'd just get a dash mounted GPS at a thrift store if I really needed one. Download the updated maps into the unit, and let it do its thing. No google or apple required.

I'll never forget when I was a child(many years ago now), dad had set an old style spring loaded rat trap in the back yard. When he went to check it all that was left was part of a rat's leg and foot left in the trap. Must have gotten caught by the leg and chewed it off to get away. That's gruesome!

The Wifi indicator is a good idea. But it will be much better if the electrocution once triggered, should runs only for 30 seconds. This will save the battery and overcooking.

I found a mouse in my basement in the joist bays, behind the insulation and vapour barrier. Would this be a fire hazard to be around insulation? If so, any other recommendations for styles to use?

Tried the squirrel/weasel cage from Havahart. I was not sure what critter ran in my house while I had the door open around 2am off loading my DJ equipment. I thought it was a Vole type rodent without a tail. Rodent set off the trap door twice & got the almond with peanut butter dipped on it twice. I went back to Home Depot & purchased the upgraded Victor Electronic Mouse Trap for $19.95. I also purchased a 4 pack of Victor original mouse traps. I watched a few of your videos on You Tube & read online reviews on Amazon. I went with the Victor Electronic Mouse Trap. I added a baited almond dipped in peanut butter. I believe the rodents hiding place was under my stove or refrigerator as I had found rodent droppings around the stove. I followed instructions and woke up the next morning around 6am. Light on Electronic mouse trap was blinking and I saw a tail hanging out the end of the trap. Disposed of the mouse and cleaned out the trap. I kept the Electronic trap & returned the other traps to Home Depot. Easy kill and no mess. Thank you Victor & Shawn Woods for your advice!!!

Excellent work . Thank you the time and effort you put in. I have not seen all of you videos as of yet, but would respectfully ask if you have done any for keeping mice out of a R.V. during cold winters ( in Wisconsin ) and the R.V. has no occupancy for a 6 month stretch.I will put some poison bait traps under the R V and in my storage shed. Have been watching a few videos produced by R V dealers. So far I have found nothing convincing ( at least for the long time frame ) In also reading the comments with the videos, the majority say, the electronic repellers don’t work, Essential oils only work a few weeks, dried blood has mixed reviews. Some say Irish spring bar soap. There is a product called the repeller, it looks and smells like Vick’s vaporub . It must be sprayed on with a spray gun. It is supposedly so slippery that mice can’t climb on it.?

After calls to Victor and my wifi router company, and setting my wifi to 2.4 Ghz AND restarting my router and trying 5 times, I couldn't get the it to connect. Worked fine until the connection and then failed every time. The Victor help phone line was just an endless loop telling you to reset the router speed. Not ready for prime time on iOs.

They shock the mouse for a few seconds and then go into standby mode. I've got the older model and it indicates with a light that it has been triggered.

They reproduce faster than you can catch them, even with the app it wont always be prepared imidiatly to catch another one. With small adaptations on a trap like this one or similar ones, it can release itself from the dead mouse and kill the next one. Cheaper and more efficient than the app. Every time I'm looking forward to the next mousetrap Monday, no matter what day it is. Very good presentation, funny but interesting subject. Never thought that catching mice could become a human catcher. Keep them coming for more thumbs up.

How about a trap with I wire attached to a motor. When triggered the wire pulls tight & strangles the mouse. The motoe keeps pulling until the mouse head is cut off.

I bought two of these and placed them in different locations. Within a few hours one of them was triggered. No mouse inside, though there were some droppings inside. Used brand new Duracell batteries. I'll give these more time but this was something of a disappointment since the trap was triggered but I came up empty.

What about an electric trap, that, after a set time to ensure the mouse is dead, switches off, and flips the mouse into a holding chamber and resets for the next mouse. All you have to do is check the bait and empty the chamber.
