I just bought an 1150. It would be great if you did a video showing how to operate the new control. Owner’s manual is vague on most sections. It states the controller acts like a joy stick to select different icons but I cannot get my control to do that

I replaced an old Char Broil grill with this one and I have been absolutely blown away at how well this barbecues steaks and chicken kzbin.infoUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . I only have to turn my steaks once and get a great medium rare steak. The burners are low enough that even the fatty foods do not burn. The grates are very strong and easy to clean. The ability to pull out the cleaning tray for easy discard of waste is the real asset of this grill. I wish I could have had this grill when I was entertaining more as this is the grill for that very event. Thanks so much for a great grill! I'm thoroughly happy with this grill. I probably use this BBQ at least twice a week. I think the only issue I had was in assembly as it was only provided by pictures only. I'm not a great fix it kind of guy so assembly took a little longer as I had to figure things out on my own. Just wish there would be step by step directions but in the end I was able to assemble the best grill that I have ever owned! Thanks again

I just purchased the 1150 Pro 3 and love it. Man, that some kind of cooking machine. It came with the straight grates but I ordered the cross-hatch grates. I like them better.

PB1150PS3 Temps 180-257 F produces the most intense smoky flavor, LOW & SLOW...275-356 F is for baking, roasting either before or after a LOW & SLOW experiment and possible add a smoke tube.... 401-500 F is for sear/flame broiling...... I called customer service to register my grill and went over page 14 in the manual. Being new to Pit Boss I felt the need to ask, as some things are left out in KZbin Videos

I just did the initial burn in on my pro series 3 1150 and I see you guys have the P settings advertised in the video but there is not a P setting for smoke levels

@@PitBossGrills It literally shows a P-Setting on the controller in this video, which is for the 1150 and non-elite 1600. I agree with @dantyrell8191 you guys should clarify that when advertising.

@PitBossGrills That’s really disappointing. Like the other have said, it actually shows in this video for the 1150 pro series 3 that this is part of the function of the new touch screen display that’s on thees grills. Some options it says that it’s only for the 1600, like the interior light, but that setting is obviously advertised as being on both. Glad I read the comments, because I was going to buy an 1150, but now I think I’ll move onto another brand. What else isn’t on the 1150 that the video says will be there?

I picked a horrible time to buy a new grill. I just bought a pb1150ps2 from my local Lowe's today. The new models weren't on display but I checked the website says in stock 😞

Don't be too disappointed, many of us in this thread are discovering these smokers aren't all that great. No smoke mode (p-setting) like the video shows and I've had burn back several times where the fire is going up the auger towards the hopper. Even when I start with a clean burn pot.

Almost bought the one on Amazon only to realize it didn't have the Bluetooth and digital display. This is barely more than that one ON SALE! Glad I watched some KZbin videos before making an Amazon purchase mistake. Ended buying this one at Lowes instead.

Unfortunately we wouldn't recommend swapping boards as each grills are specifically programmed for the airflow and size of that unit. I would be leery at anything other than Manufacture parts as you don't know how they've been programmed.

The Legacy Upgrade on our website will have elements of PID as it's compatible from 340s to 1000s. While they my not be fully PID, it's food for thought. At this time we don't offer a fully PID upgrade, good feedback for us, thank you!

Make sure it's the Pit Boss Grills App, and your internet has to be 2.4GHz, as anything else wouldn't work.

No lie such false advertising. It shows the smoke mode on it. They should update the firmware to run both the pid and smoke mode like the video shows. That’s the reason I didn’t get the elite because it looked like it came on the new 3rd version. Aghhhh lied to me

Mine did not work out of the box. Customer service said the heating element was bad and needed to be replaced. When I received the new element two weeks later and installed it, the grill failed again with same error code. After waiting on hold for 25 minutes for customer service to try to address the second product failure I gave up. The pit boss failure will be my last interacting with this product and company. Buy another brand.

P-Setting isn't needed for PID boards, as the grill can maintain the temps automatically.

What chef wants touch screen? we have gloves on, our hands are dirty, etc etc... touch screen sucks! Where are the stainless grates? Common guys, make a mans smoker rather than always trying to shave a few dollars.
