Thanks for sharing. Great video. I have to say this is exactly why DJI gets all the hype they do. That little drone is they kind of toy that turns people off droning. The drone is going to be a great beginner drone in the respect that you can fly it, crash it, and not worry too much about the cost of replacing it. That being said, there is some things that the company can do to improve the stability of the drone, and to make sure it won't crash into the ground when flying low. I do see this as a good beginner option, with the knowledge you're not going to be able to depend on the drone to keep itself from crashing into the ground lol.

Hahaha. This drone is a piece of junk but it’s definitely something someone could use to learn the basics. I haven’t heard from the company since they sent the drone to us so maybe they went out of business. Lol. That being said, it did fly ok for the most part, but when it decided to sink and hit the ground and then sink and crash in the grass, I figured it may not be a mini killer after all. Haha I’d recommend the neo or a mini 4K over this any day even though they’re more expensive. At least they’re dependable and do what they’re told, eh?

This one made me nervous Kevin! Not only that, I even went out to the garage where I keep my Off Deep Woods bug spray, and showered myself with it! Then went back inside to finish watchin! Yes! I sprayed Off on me even though I wasn’t outside because it made me feel protected from those corrupted swarms of flies! (You forgot to include a link to that toy drone that I wouldn’t waste my money on. Sorry if that’s a little harsh but in all honesty, if I were a newbie and started out with that drone it’d probably turn me against ever wanting to fly another one. That almost happened to me when I got my very first drone, a cheap Holystone “marketed for beginners” drone.)

Hahahaha!!!! I’m just glad those were only little gnats and not those horrible biting noseeums we have down here. If that was the case I would’ve left and never went back. Those little gnats just wanted a drink of water out of my tear ducts. No big deal. lol. They settle down for December and January and then come back in February or March. Haha. I agree with you on this drone by the way. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone other than to maybe learn the basics but other than that, this is garbage. I had high hopes for it at first when it connected up so fast but as soon as I changed some settings, it all went sideways. lol. I probably should’ve said that in the conclusion but I was just relieved I survived that horror show.

What was weird was we got less than an inch of rain and we never lost power. We usually lose power if a bird flies over the house. Haha. And yea l, that hurricane did a number on a lot of places for sure. Thankfully we were spared yet again. We had some camping property in Perry, FL for a few years and never had a single storm even threaten it. We sold in 2022 and they’ve had 3 storms since totally destroy the county. It’s sad for sure.

lol absolutely nothing to worry about. I was pretty disappointed in this drone. Idaho Quadcopter had as many problems with it as I did. Maybe even more. I was pretty optimistic before I launched it but man, as soon as I launched it, I knew there were gonna be problems. lol. I was right for once! Hahaha. And Tom, I really don’t think there’s such a thing as a mini 2 killer. I think the mini 2 will be king forever. I think it was almost 2 years as the top dog until the mini 3 pro came out, right? All these other drones like the mini 3 pro and ones after should be considered in a league all their own. #mini2forlife. Lol

I have one, It is a good flyer but it sucks for a camera. I keep it in the drone backpack as a beater drone for backup purposes in case I have to search for my main drone etc. You have to have cell data off when you connect with the app or it will not work.

I wouldn’t recommend this drone really for anything much beyond learning the basics of up, down, forward, backward, etc. I’m down to 2 days as of this morning and I’m on vacation. lol. Best way to end I’d say. I go back Thursday to turn in my stuff then im finished. Our only real plans at the moment are to get the camper all ready for a trip we’re planning in the spring called the “Family Circle” and then come home when we feel like it. lol.

It drives me crazy with the wireless mic and t-shirts. I had another KZbinr suggest using a shoe string or a lanyard to put the mic on. This way it is not attacking your neck.

lol I know man those mics are a pain sometimes. I was looking at the DJI mics the other day and discovered they have a magnetic backing that goes inside your shirt to hold them in place. I wonder if hot glue, a piece of metal and a magnet would work on these Rodeo mics, too. I wish I was more inventive. We could be rich!

The drone communicates wirelessly with the controller which in turn communicates with the phone app and without that cable like DJI has, the FPV feed to the phone screen can really break up bad. I’m not sure if the exact wording to use but I feel the direct cable convection would beat a Wi-Fi connection any day, eh?

These little gnats are just annoying more than anything and yea it’s normal where we are. They may settle down a bit in the winter but they’re usually out in force. Well I think I have to be brutally honest and say I would rather keep my money in my pocket than buy that drone, so shaky, losing height , follow modes not the best , I think there are a lot better drones in that price range that would perform a lot better, , the neo for example is a little bit extra but would perform a lot better as a beginner drone to learn to fly . Wow, what a terrible drone! The new DJI Neo only has 1 axis gimbal, and its footage is super stable in similar conditions. Many moan about the video quality, but compared to this drone, it's years ahead! Also, the Neo is super robust. Of course, the Neo is still $200, and without the controller or spare batteries. So, probably not comparable to this drone.

Fortunately, after my 2nd piece of crap, I was able to talk wife into the Mini 2 and I realized sometimes you gotta just go for it. Dang the uploading of photos is new to me. I haven’t seen that on mine but then again I haven’t taken any photos on the mini 2. As far as an update to fix these issues of speed display and the home point stutter, I’ve been waiting and waiting for a fix. I haven’t heard a peep about any new updates coming out any time soon which is really confusing. They know there’s an issue and I’m sure it’s an easy fix. Hopefully it’ll be soon though. We gotta be “patient”. lol. Kristi always says I don’t have any patience so I could’ve in trouble here. Lol
