@@ZenKrio I think they could pull it off if they made it so you had to make your character a specific archetype, like you pick that the kharacter you're making is a zoner and that gives you access to these moves and kombos, maybe each one cost a specific amount of points and you're only given so many points, that way each character is unique. They could also add basic moves that all archetypes can use, and maybe races like tarkatan or shokan which would give you access to race specific moves. Or maybe just make it so kustom characters can't be used in ranked matches

I have a theory on why Some Characters in Past games didn’t Appear In Mk1? -Erron black probably died from Old age because in prior timelines shang Tsung Expanded his Life span for Assassinating an Earthrealm Champion for him, and since shang tsung didn’t learn magic Early that means they did not meet. Skarlet was an orphan girl who was taken by shao kahn and was taught blood magic and since Mk1 Shao isn’t powerful like His Old self, they probably didn’t met and she probably died of starvation. Jax is not a soldier this time, he is an FBI agent and we saw him In Kenshi’s ending and Liu kang probably didn’t ask him to join to become an earthrealm champion and since he is living his life without any problems, But if liu kang talked to him to join and went with kenshi and Kung lao and Johnny , he could lose his arms again because of Ermac. Kano is still with the black dragon and Sindel probably knows about him and doesn’t want him in outworld Kabal is probably a cop like what we saw in mk9, is probably best friend with Stryker.

While Kano is still with the Black Dragons, did Liu Kang neutered Kano, like with Shang Tsung and Quan Chi. If so, how did Kano got neutered by Liu Kang. The reason I say this was because Quan Chi and Shang Tsung were villains in the previous timeline but was neutered by Liu Kang to prevent them from threatening the realms. I would like to see the neutered Kano being similar to his Mortal Kombat 2021 counterpart.

Krazy idea: its time for a spinoff. Give NRS a bit more time to make the next game, but hand the IP to another developer, with Ed Boon supervising. My idea would be a game that finally focuses on the great Kung Lao's win over Shang Tsung. It'd be more or a martial arts oriented soulslike (any deaths are explained as Kung Lao doing vision training. For things like messages left by players, it would be explained as a message from the Elder Gods).

I would do a New Era prequel story (like the MK11 ending suggested would be next) and have Great Kung Lao's tournament be intertwined with the rise and imprisonment of Onaga. That would give Onaga some narrative momentum ahead of a future story where Onaga is freed by Reiko. A lot of main characters can die to solidify Onaga's threatening reputation, and you wouldn't have to worry about "how are they going to return?" if the setting is centuries in the past.

If I were to make the next Mortal Kombat game, I would make the bold decision and try to bring back every character (even Hsu Hao, Jarek, and Drahmin) from previous games, maybe try to give them a bit of personality and distinct features and aspects to make them a bit more memorable (like what was done with Ashrah, Li Mei and Havik), bring back every finisher from previous Mortal Kombat games (Babality, Friendship, Animality), bring back the tag team feature from Mortal Kombat 9, come up with additional game modes, and think of a story that doesn't involve the multiverse plot.

I always imagined if it was possible that kronika or even Cetrion made a deal with a different character we havent seen before and say they was banished into the void or somewhere like a sanctuary beyond the realms like the different nexus. And that character would be waiting there for the time to take over reality again. The other issue is liu kang is at the highest peak character ark and hasnt got much else to do except beint over powered. So it would be great if an outsider truly defeated him fairly. As in history he has only lost due to interference such as shang tsung, quan chi, raiden when turning against liu kang with kronika influence. It would be cool to see liu kang outmatched and for the new character to remove the burden of being protector of earthrealm and well as other realms. The new character lets say guardian can beat every timeline and merge them into one. Except its pure chance what gets merged. You could have mk1 empress mileena but also have mk11 scorpion. The best of both timelines. Thats how they should go about fixing the timeline issue in my opinion

Kombo's in MK1 feel a like they're more set in stone than in other games. For example, Johnny's 212, 214 rising star, or his 124 usually only Kombo into each other, and those are really the only Kombo's you have as johnny (not including star power), and usually come out to the same damage output. So I think in a new MK game, they should allow you to be more loose with Kombo's and have varied damage out puts for more or less advantages. I also feel like they should bring back character variations like they were in MKX, as to just have a little bit more potential to your favorite characters. (also they can't name the next game "Mortal Kombat 2", because we already have that. Yeah technically we have two MK1's, and they can just use the number instead of roman numerals, but we can't stick with stick with numbers. Maybe like "Mortal Kombat merge" or "Mortal Kombat vengeance" or "mortal Kombat 2: Liu Kang shaves his five o'clock shadow; now with new funky mode" or something like that, but no number)

If they were already testing the KP3 characters in game then we are getting a KP3. They aren't going to put in all the work to make them playable for this game and then scrap it for a new fighting system; because remember, they change the mechanics in every game.

The idea of the kameos wasn't necessarily bad on paper, but I don't think it was executed well, having a second selection of characters relegated to being just assists is bad, they should have focused on a single screen of playable characters, you choose your character first, and in those same characters you choose your assist. All characters are playable as main and assist. The most horrible, bad and ugly thing about MK1 is the story, the worst of any MK by far. They ruined their most iconic characters.

Would it be a bad choice to say if i wanted an adventure game Mortal Kombat. Like an open roamed storymode with fight scenes transitioning to klassic mk fighting (varying 3d or 2d arenas) And storymode wise youd have a "create a fighter" kind of player. They get to interact with many mortal kombat characters, if you beat the boss or specific character you get to either morph, if not take weapons/powers of that character. For example, beating kitana you gain her war fans and her as a playable character, or gain sub zeros cryomancy and or his character. And i know this thing wasnt really favorited but i think factions would make a good comeback to this kind of game, you can ally to whom you please, changung the course of the story depending on your choices, so if you get a chance to finish an opponent, youd get special faction kills like in mkx where a character within that faction goes in for the kill, adding more variety to your playstyle. The way Kreate a fughter would work could be like Mortal Kombat Armageddon and Mk11 (AND something like Shadow fight 2) mashed together, being able to change your character to a tarkatan, Verternian, An earthrealmer, Edenian, etc. You could customize and upgrade your gear as you progress through the game, enchancing replayability. Edit: oh and about Online play Youd have your regular Ranked sets and regular matches, but up to your choosing you could have a KLASSIC mode, where your only allowed to fight with Mortal Kombat players youve unlocked, then have YOUR KOMBATANT mode where youd be only allowed to use your character to fight against someone elses customized fighter (to balance it out, in this mode youd only be put agajnst people with similar levels with you)

I hope the next Mortal Kombat story focuses on each character. So each character has their own path and different perspectives in the overall Mortal Kombat story. Each character will have their own background, goals and ego. Maybe at some point some characters will meet and fight each other. Some will win and lose which will make each character have an emotional bond for the other characters. In this way, players will be curious and try all the characters and in this way all characters will be equally important. Also. I don't agree with Liukang's way of making all the characters good people. Come on, we're talking about a game that brutally beats up its opponents. Let all the characters be who they want to be and have a reasonable reason behind it.

These are some mechanics I want in the next game. One, I want a flawless block mechanic where if you do a flawless block, you can do an additional imput and push them back and be at neutral again. This should do 0 damage, it is just a push, and I think that it should have frame data so if you don't do it at the right time, it is negative and you can be punished. Secondly, I think there should be a forward and back roll like in Injustice 2. It helps people who don't have a good projectile get in, and it helps people who want to get back to zone to the right distance. Again, this needs have frame data as well so if you know they are going to try and roll and stop them, they can be punished. Lastly, upblocking needs to stay. A lot of people don't like it, but it is such a great defensive mechanic. All of this allows for plenty of defensive options, ways to bate and punish these defensive options if they are trying to do them wrong, and give a high skill ceiling, because most people will not know how to do these correctly.

Hot take: I actually really love MK1's Kameo system, as with it, characters that aren't popular or interesting enough for a full character slot could still be added as a Kameo to help your main character out, and they provide an extra layer of depth to the core gameplay in almost every way, while also being tied to a resource to keep things fair, as due to that restriction, they can't be spammed. Sure, some kameos are in a whole different league than others, but hey, that's just game balance.

He will be Sub-Zero. Kuai Liang is Scorpion they reverse they role... If not they tease Harumi as Scorpion too. So Harumi + Kuai Liang need to die for awakening Hanzo wrath and transform him into Scorpion. Hanzo will be cryomancer after he kill Frost you will see.

I would probably make a shaolin monks like game so we have some breather from the normal mk we have and maybe explain mor of the story there so we get to know the new era better.. maybe the protagonist will be hanzo and how he became the scorpion we know.. and I don't really want the old era to be back completely.. maybe have some characters get to the new era sa you mentioned old nitara can fit
