This movie is basically a spiritual successor to The Last Boy Scout (1991) also written by Shane Black. You two should check that one out as well.

The actress that plays Holly is really talented. She's Australian and no one would even think that's the case with her accent in this movie. She was so young, and was one of the highlights of the film.
