I live near an old bat like that. She constantly thinks she's the victim. She went so far as to break/dig up the underground power to a street light that was in front of her house and have it removed without the districts approval because she 'got migraines' (just close the curtains). She even got a doctors note saying that we needed to take the light down (as if a doctor had that authority). She gets away with doing stuff like that because nobody wants the confrontation. The street has three houses on it, hers is the one in the middle and she thinks she owns the whole road. Joke's on her though - I'm on the district and we put TWO lights back up.

Badgers can be very dangerous too! In the US, they are not nice critters, my brother has scars down his arm, the badger made it's way into our playhouse (yeah, we left a food mess. We were like 8 or something) we went into play the next day and boom, badger attack. By the time I ran and grabbed a rake nearby (which I was useless in using btw, maybe I scared it away by waving it?) his arm had already been shredded and bleeding. So yeah, don't feed the goddamn badgers to bring them INTO any kind of community, especially with children! You want a pet badger? Then keep it restrained in your house, restrained in a cage in your yard. But that's fucked up to do too, to a badger. Don't encourage them with food, they need to be out in their own territory to thrive. Badgers are just fine by themselves until some whacko decides they should live side by side with humans in harmony forever. Just. Leave. The. Badgers. The. Fuck. Alone!

@Bandomeme3 жыл бұрын
There are plenty of laws controlling where and how you build in the U.K., but their enforcement depends on reports from the affected people. If no one complains, nothing happens. When my daughter wanted to refurbish her house the architectural plans had to be approved by the city council and all the neighbours within a certain distance were notified, and her plans were nothing like as intrusive as the extension in the video. She was smart and went to each neighbour to explain what she wanted to have done. As a result no one objected and everyone was happy. Just common courtesy, really.

she attached a gate to two houses that weren't her's without even asking the owners of the houses. I'd be mad as hell too. Letting her use the ground for a driveway is one thing as she doesn't leave her car on it, but used it as access to her carport in her own yard. But Blocking off everyone from using it was a bit rich. What if the house owners wanted to access the sides of their houses? They'd have to ask her permission to unlock the gates. DID YOU SEE ALL THE LOCKS? I can understand why they were mad. She's trying to play victim for the tv audience but I bet she was really really abusive to them. People don't call the police over nothing, and even the police said she was being violent and aggressive. THEY GAVE HER A RESTRAINING ORDER. Do you realise how horrible a woman has to be to get a RO issued? They hardly ever go through cause 'poor women'. For the court to recognize her as a threat to the neighbors they had to have some evidence of such, or the case would have been thrown out.

That Meg girl is so disconnected from the culture, she has no business trying to uproot it. I'd argue that almost everything she did goes against a natural symbiotic relationship with animals. If she hadn't of attracted the badgers by feeding them in the first place, the villagers wouldn't have had to kill them to protect their livelihood. (Badgers don't understand English, you know.) The villagers actually had the more humane approach by choosing to distance their habitats as opposed to attracting them to a death trap. People in the country have a resourcful and emotional relationship with animals. They keep them as livestock, pets, and as food. This being the case, you cannot gauge how much a person cares for animals by whether he kills them or not, but how he treats them in life and why he is killing them. If it is to use as a resource, or to put them or others out of misery, it's pretty fair game.

What's ironic about Meg is that she yells at the man for walking his dog on a field that had ground nesting birds, fearing the dog could hurt the birds/nest.. then soon after she decided to feed the badgers on her doorstep basically inviting even more… all the while failing to realize one of the staples in a badger's diet is guess what? Eggs from ground nesting birds, the same animal she screamed at a man to protect. They also eat small chicks, lizards, insects etc. Also, less than 15% of badgers carry TB, so idk if killing them in packs is the right answer either. She shouldn't have moved into a community where critters are not welcome due to crops/live stock/farming. She really should have thought twice about that and moved out into the country instead. In the country there are fields and fields of nothing but creatures and wild life. Maybe even deep in the woods somewhere. I'm not going to bash on the woman for loving animals so much, some people hate animals, others love them, others are obsessed with them and others don't care either way. It's good to have balance but someone who loves them as much as she does should REALLY reconsider her current residency. It obviously isn't working, and although she has every right to live there and every right to feed any animal she'd like, she should also realize that 90% of the time majority rules, when it's an entire community against you, I think it's about time to move on and out of the area. Just a thought!

Yeah, she is terribly ignorant of nature. A mislead fool that wants to save all animals even though actions create more problems. For instance, I decide to feed bears. My argument "Bears are beautiful and deserve our help." Ugh. She is well meaning by ignorant of wildlife management, healthy biospheres for animals, ecosystem balance.

Imagine the audacity to move into a small rural town and then starting all this, telling her neighbours what to do, what not to do, when to do it, and where to do it. I wonder who she felt she was to commandeer grownup people around in that manner. If she felt someone was doing something illegal, she should report it to the police. If she feels the laws are wrong, go into politics and work to change them. What she did to that man was outrageous and I genuinely wish someone would put her in a similar situation. We didn’t hear specifically what threats were made against him but the militant socialists who make up these activist groups like to make death threats. @MrMhinson26 жыл бұрын
Actually her living there, and tending to the land for all of that time does give her rights to the land. Did you even notice the court only said there wasn't enough evidence via her not blocking it off? If she had blocked it off for 28 years it would have been hers. In America we don't even have to fence the land off. We just have to upkeep the land for a given amount of time as she did, and then apply for the adverse possession as she also did. Those neighbours had no right being dicks like that.
@LoriCor-6 жыл бұрын
Michael Hinson Yes, adverse possession in 7 years, I believe. It's Common Law, American and English. The land should have been hers. I guess something has changed, over there.
@kcheong005 жыл бұрын
@@LoriCor- Actually, i think its 12 years for adverse possession and i don't think she met the requirements. She didn't really demonstrate possession. Parking a car demonstrates possession. Just driving through it does not count. (there is actually a case on this) The important one was she had to demonstrate she is taking possession i.e putting up a gate. Just tending to the land is only 1 aspect. If you want my honest opinion, she is being greedy and playing dumb. She obviously knew what to do and how to get there. Resurfacing demonstrates tending to the land and putting up the fence demonstrates intention to possess. Her neighbour is the clever one in this whole thing. He is going to do the same thing. He can do whatever he wants to the driveway because she doesn't own it. What annoys me even more is she over reacted when she clearly knew what she was doing. Also, I'm not sure about UK (i know in the past you could) but in Australia you can't claim off the crown or council. In this scenario the crown most likely owns the land if its unregistered.
