Honestly, I'm torn between that and the 6th place. I would probably lean more towards First 1st Place if the _very first boss_ wasn't "Bloodstarved Beast 2: Tick Boogaloo".

@@LauncherSpiderMk7 Y'know that makes me think that the former hunter (Who became an infant great one in that ending) is what is actually inside the pram. Which is why it would grant you 20 insight and take half you health, which also probably references the move that the Moon Presence does when he drains you down to one HP. Just a thought though, I'm not really sure...

@@daubeny6796 I didn’t notice that part. I figured that for a simply lore exposing point the ring was alluding to the baby being a baby great one. If you look at the original art piece and the text accompanying it it says that the queen is lying to the side with slashes on her abdomen similar to the queen of yharnam which I think could be a mirror of her story. The queens child is the great ones child and I thought the ring was just there to link it.

I general whales are a perfect concept for Blood Borne. Swimming in the deepest depths, they hide within them the knowledge of the deep sea, which once sheltered and nurtured the great ones. What dark secrets might the dark abyss hide, only by transcribing the songs of the whales can we begin to know.
@jeanetten.s.8557
@jeanetten.s.8557 3 жыл бұрын
Considering we've seen the moon presence who is both a moon and a great one, perhaps creating the hunter's dream isnt all that the great ones are capable of doing. It may not understand why the change of tides are at all important, the same way we don't understand how the hunter's dream pleases it. But the song of these kin-great ones, these great creatures in touch with the depths of the ocean, are "beautiful" to the awaiting great ones, pleased by their performances and at the call of their kin are convinced to change the tides for them. And isn't it so much like humans to take advantage of this, to record these performances to change the oceans to our pleasures.

Not gonna lie, I'd definitely buy and play Oneironaut if it came out as a Bloodborne-inspired indie game. Or, finger's crossed, FromSoft took interest and brought the creator on board to make it Bloodborne 2. There's just something so vastly interesting about combining Industrial Revolutionary settings, Steampunk, and Lovecraftian inspirations. Kyrious, God from the Machine, sems the most interesting because it sounds like humans attempted to make their own Great One instead of attempting further evolution.

Definitely something that could turn out amazing if the developers go the Assassin's Creed route and start doing more culture-themed installments. Like, if Sekiro had Far-East Asia as its inspiration, and Bloodborne was a Lovecraftian take on Victorian England, they could do some sort of Aztec-themed game. Plot could be, an old cult of worshippers of the old Aztec pantheon could be trying to blood-sacrifice the entire country in order to bring about a new era. To stay true to the bleak themes of Soulsborne, no matter what path you take, the ending you get will never be a happy one.

Personally, while I saw a lot of the fishing and nautical based ones as interesting, I personally find the idea of the last one, an industrial revolution focused sequel as the most interesting. God from the Machine, and the fusion of insight, blood, science, and industry into a new kind of eldritch horror that mixes the lovecraftian dread of sea and tide with the grime and horror of industry and the very real and all the more horrifying for it levels of unethical science enacted during that time period. Where the horror of what man makes meshes with things beyond to create things all the more new and terrible.

Fantasy isn't applied to WW1 and WW2 nearly enough, and it's kind of the perfect setting for something like Bloodborne. Nothing since has compared to the sheer industrial-fascist horror of those time periods, which meshes so well with cosmic horror! Ricardo managed to press all of that into his art and it's so good.

I liked everything aside from the voice acting, probably could've used a lot less

@@ToxicQT Yeah same, in my opinion it was a little too much not only in quantity but the emphasis and acting was overdone imo. Still both the voice actor and artist are extremely talented, it was just too much in this case.

I love the Venetian one to death. It would make some very easy connections to Edgar Allen Poe's "Masque of the Red Death" which would just be so delicious and fun.

I don't know if it's my ADD or what it was, i had to watch this video in like 3 parts, different days, because as an artist i kept feeling more and more curious so i just had to watch it all. Now, finally having everything watched, the 3 times that i watched the video, i kept forgetting that i wasn't watching an actual video on BB2 concept art. Not only the works were picked in an amazing way but also the way you presented the Vaati, your voice always sounds like a hug. Thanks for putting this together

The final video absolutely blew me away. Music, artwork, and voice acting. Bloodborne has to do with people trying to "ascend" what better way to mimic that than with machine? Man...incredible.

Vaaty has really improved upon this fandom by providing a central hub and incentive for people to create. Ironically, vaaty's channel is it's own firelink shrine for all the amazing artists that love this genre :) I really hope fromsoft sees these videos and this art because I think this is a whole style and genre now totally independent of the studio

If you submitted to the art competition, PLEASE READ! For a little while I had the incorrect email listed in the description. The correct email to send to is bloodborne2challenge@gmail.com. If you sent to the wrong email, and would have placed highly in this competition, I will reimburse you. I deeply hope few people were affected by my mistake. This is also an opportunity to submit again if you have a late entry. Thank you!
