should i grab half a size up on these from my zoom cage 4 size? cant trust nike with sizing ;(
@tenniswarehouse3 жыл бұрын
That might be a good idea. At least for me, when I tried on the Cage 4's I was like in between a size 9 & 9.5, leaning on going down to a size 9. With the Vapor Pro, I felt like I was a true 9.5, and I didn't feel the need to go down to a 9, as they were pretty snug, both width and length. The Cage 4 felt more roomy in my opinion. Hope that helps. Troy, TW

These fit me pretty true in my usual size 9.5, with a nice snug fit for length and width. With the Nike Vapor Cage 4, we found those to fit a bit generous, so with those I might go down to a size 9. Do you have a particular tennis shoe that fits you just right, as a reference? Troy, TW

are these as wide as k swiss hpercourt shoes especially interested in toebox forefoot
@tenniswarehouse3 жыл бұрын
Not quite. These feel more snug around the toe-box, the Hypercourt Express, Express 2, and Supreme are all more roomy or generous in the toe-box. Of the Nike shoes, the Vapor Cage 4 are likely are the most forgiving in the width, although they are a heavier, more stable, more durable option. Troy, TW

Tennis Warehouse Team.....Does the shoe lean inwards towards medial side like the Vapor X? I hated that aspect of the Vapor X.
@tenniswarehouse3 жыл бұрын
@crumbsnatcher74, I'm not sure I completely know what you are talking about but assuming you mean if you're looking behind the shoes, they lean toward the medial side? They are built on the same last as the X (midsole and outsole and structure are the same), so yes, you can expect the same in the Vapor Pro. It has never bothered me nor have I really noticed, so I can't say if it feels better or worst than the X. Michelle, TW

@cd81453 жыл бұрын
Hi TW, I’m in search of a new racket and need your help. I’m using the Pro Staff 97L, I like the control and precision but it’s time for something heftier to help me hit a heavier ball and fight back with the hard hitters. Racket history: used the Ezone 98 (305) 2020 for a while. Too too headlight, most of the weight is in the handle and throat and not enough at the hoop, had too really crank up my racket head speed to get anything on the ball and that was tiring. String too launchy and unpredictable. I tried adding some lead, it did improve but at that point it became sluggish. Even though the RA is 64, the hoop was stiff and hurt my arm. Switched to the PS 97L and felt I could swing out due to the low-powered nature of the frame. However sweetspot is smallish and against hard hitters it’s so difficult to hit back. Rackets I’ve tried: Prince 100T (orange): love the Textreme feel, Strike Team 3rd gen, Vcore 100L, Aero Team: all were too powerful for me and 100 headsize feels somewhat clumsy. Style of play: aggressive baseliner (with modern technique) likes to attack with precision, I also like to add variety with slices. I’d say my forehand mechanic (grip, swingpath) looks like Thiem’s (not saying I’m anywhere near that level) What I want in my new racket: Something that has the precision of the PS97L but bigger sweetspot, good heft too counterpunch and finish points but not too demanding like a Blade. I also want a connected predictable response, not a fan of muted feel (hated the VDM and Cortex Pure Feel and the Wilson Clash) My candidates: - Head Extreme Tour: same specs as my previous Ezone, I’m afraid I’m gonna have the same problem being of the lower swingweight, I have to compensate my swing super fast. But I heard the weight distribution is different so not sure. This racket will let me swing out freely without fear of the ball sailing long but I heard it’s unstable in stock form and needs customization (I prefer to play in stock form) - Head Speed MP: not sure to go with my strengths and move to a 100 headsize, I dont gravitate towards them because they seem very clunkly. My fear is it maybe too powerful, I hate when I have too hold back which affects my confidence and stroke execution. But then it has more swingweight than Extreme Tour so will that make it then easier to flatten out / hit a hammer shot?

@@atilayyerkal, we go into pretty good detail on all of the Nike shoe lines in this podcast: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXzViGOBnZ5kmsk. But in general the Vapor Pro is very light, speedy, and low to the ground, very similar in that sense to the Vapor X, mostly an upper change from the Vapor X. The React NXT offers more stability, a bit more cushion, and sort of feels more like a hybrid of the Vapor X/Pro and the Cage 4. Hope that helps. Troy, TW

Can anyone tell me if the sole of the shoe or whatever it’s called, but like the part that’s on the ground, if it is rubber or foam on these and the vapor lights. I can’t seem to find out anywhere.
@tenniswarehouse3 жыл бұрын
The part that makes contact with the ground is the outsole, and for both of those shoes, and just about all shoes that we sell, it will be made from some sort of rubber compound. The material between the rubber outsole, and the insole, is usually made from sort of foam cushion, and that is the midsole. Troy, TW
