The weird part has been seeing people be shocked it wasn’t already here: thought the timeline was common knowledge. You will never see any actual PS2 games on the PlayStation service. They would have to actually have a working emulator for it first.

They already do? They literally already do. It was first created for the PlayStation 4 and it has surprisingly high compatibility although when run through backwards compatibility on PS5 it can have some issues with certain games but most of them run fairly well. Sony can simply reuse that emulator and touch it up. Did you know about the Grand theft Auto trilogy was available as PlayStation 2 classics on the PS4? Currently they're removed because of the trilogy of course but yeah Sony has been doing PlayStation 2 emulation since the PS3 believe it or not. After they discontinued native backwards compatibility for the PS3 they actually made an emulator that ran in software and was packaged with game ISOs you would buy on that storefront.

Marvel Midnight Suns was the biggest surprise for me in recent years and I was amazed how much I enjoyed the game. I still play the card combat missions to this day and it has become one of my top 3 favorite games of all time right beside Mass Effect 2 and Zelda Twilight Princess.

If you ignore that BotW started off its life when the Switch had barely any install base, and that games see their biggest amount of sales in their launch window(with rare exceptions) while Tears came out with 5 years worth of the install base growing. Tears sales are not as impressive as they seem. At least when compared to BotW. Given the same advantages Tears had, BotW's sales would be much higher. This is the same reason most devs skip a failing platform. Doesn't matter if your audience grows, the small install base at the start, is where the majority of their sales will come from.

Im so tempted to get the Star Wars BF collection but the price feels a bit much.. Idk is that just me? I can get both originals for $10 on GOG or Steam and yeah its missing stuff but is that stuff worth an extra $30? Idk. But hey at least it'll be great to see full online lobbies again like half lifes online lobbies being full on its anniversary. I don't think Tears of the Kingdom selling less than Breath of the Wild says much about how well liked the game is or how good it is. Follow up games on the same console tend to sell less than their predecessors regardless of quality or reception. Even if Tears of the Kindgom was universally agreed to be the best game ever created, it would have still most probably sold less.

Well, you also have to take into account BotW was also sold on the WiiU, not to also mention the fact all those sales was from the launch of the system until now. Even if the sales slow down, it was still selling units for 7 years. It will take quite a while for TotK to catch up if it ever does.

I know it could really be its own thing, but maanyyy people will be hesitant or prefer to wait until they beat BOTW for that reason. You can play Tears of the Kingdom easily without Breath of the Wild, a big complaint about TotK is that it doesn’t reference the events in Botw enough Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a direct story continuation that misses out on a lot if you didn’t play remake, and miss out even more if you didn’t play the original

That's a good game, but it hits different compared to originals. The first games have really good maps like Bespin platforms, vehicles you can hop into at any time without power ups, and feels more sandboxy. The EA Battlefront games are a slightly more linear streamlined experience.

As someone who was heavy into modding back in the day, I don't advise anyone buy the MIG Switch. If you have an NSO account or any eShop purchases, all of that is at risk the moment you put the MIG Switch in. Sure, you can rip your own games to be safer (then what's the point?), but there's always the risk that Nintendo figures out a way to detect the cart itself, making any future Switch updates a risk to your account. The only way to be safe with this is to buy a second switch that never goes online, and again, what's the point?

yea it's annoying. I have hated the speaker in the controller since the ps4. It's so unnecessary and just wastes battery life. I honestly don't like the touchpad either though. They should use the ps5 design but go back to the buttons and no speaker from the ps3 days lol

I really don't get the MIG Switch. If you wanted to carry your games on one cartridge, just buy them digitally and they will be on your sd card. No need for a cartridge to run that sd card. Is it something to do with pirating?

What companies should be doing for live service games is if the game is successful initially spin it off into its own Studio. And build that studio to be able to handle all parts internally. Then if that game orange series fails or ends at a later point in time roll the studio back into its parent and distribute the workforce as needed.

Those EON HD adapters are amazing. I have one for the GC and the N64. The GC one hooked up to a 4K Sony OLED... oh... my... GOD. GameCube games look INCREDIBLE. I can't wait to try the Xbox one!

Not sure considering the loss of one game is $60 vs all my games on the mig switch with all cloned files and unique identifiers and certificates are much worth comparing when it comes to cost and possibly been banned, just a thought.

I wish Insomniac would get back to making original titles. I understand that licensed established properties perform better financially but I can't help but feel loss when incredible, creative studios with colorful historic backstories like Insomniac and Respawn end up Disney bitch studios. Maybe one day they will get back to their roots and take all the experience from those Spiderman/Wolverine/Star Wars games and make the best damn Titanfall/Resistance/Sunset Overdrive-esque original we've ever seen.

Tbh, I dont mind waiting for my MIG, the remainder of the games I ordered to make a copy of before nintendo waved their d's around, by going after Yuzu & Citra are almost done arriving. Once that's done, ye...honoring me word from last time heh, until the next hardware comes out & ofc waiting til its moddable (like I did with the switch; have 3 that are capable, the OLED might be, but either way I'll at least be able to play what i got+, the eshop titles are already on the systems from long ago snd more...since i got a few things working on Yuzu after a little recompiling with my small adjustments, it was a small memory issue with a release i had that they probably resolved with one of the EA releases already. Gonna test those out soon & see what needs adjustment & if I'm even capable of it rn, may have to study a lil bit more; refresh my mind).

God Eater Burst is a fast paced, Monster Hunter like game that takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting. It’s really fun but can be difficult if you’re not used to those kind of games. Thankfully, you have a LOT more movement in this series than Monster Hunter. The sequels refine the game with each iteration. The game is called “Gods Eater Burst” in the localised versions presumably due to culture and religion in other countries like the US. I think it’s silly but, I understand regardless.

I just want to know if you can pop your SD card out from the Switch into the MIG itself and play those games to. aka your Digital purchases. I dont care about backingup carts. I got years to worry when those could fail. I concerned of the already bought digital games stored on your own SD card thats tied to the system. Can I just place that in the mig switch so its like one big physical cart in a way.
