I can say I love switch lite as a handheld like you said we can drop it in to the pocket an go this is my Gameboy I have the Xbox s/x so I don't need it on the TV its just right 💯 yes it does last long in battery 5-6 hours it's cool to have a pocket full of games true handheld gaming 1Tb full of games that's cool

I don't think it's crazy to say that with Nintendo, they will eventually go back to offering a clam shell design again. It's a Time factor. Those Game&Watches were released in some form before, eventually we will get a DS Lite for $99 then 3DS waaaaay later.

I have the OLED Switch and I love it. I play this more than I do my Xbox which sadly is a dust collector. The fun factor is endless compared to other consoles is 100 imo.

I ended up giving my PS5 to my neighbor's kids because i loved the switch lite more. I also prefer a digital library and I have more games digitally than i do physically anymore i don't have a switch lite, i am considering getting it again and not getting any physical games.

I am using Switch lite for years now just love the overall build quality, experience , portability. Love playing Zelda and Fire emblem for hours in this console... ✨ For hig power games I play on my gaming laptop... ✨

You’re right. It’s a TRUE handheld capable console. And it’s not like previous console generations where a Nintendo handheld device a had lesser version of a game (ex. Wii U Mario Kart 8 vs 3DS Mario Kart 7). It plays all the exact same games that the dockable Switch can play. I’m currently really into Super Mario Bros Wonder!

Although I primarily play PC games, it would be great to play Read Dead Redemption and The Witcher 3 handheld while outside or at bedtime and simply shut it off when sleepy😁

Witcher 3 on Switch is so much fun. Sure it's better on PC/Xbox/PS but it's amazing playing in handheld with the small screen. Also, the Switch version has cross saves with PC and consoles now (I alternate between Switch while traveling and Xbox Series X when I'm playing at home).

@@trashcontent_dan6354 You have to lower your expectations for Switch. Check out a few youtube videos of people playing on Switch. If you just want to play in handheld then the Lite is the way to go. I really enjoy the handheld experience of the Switch but it is a downgrade from modern hardware. One thing I like about the Switch is that it just works. No tweaking or anything and you can jump right in to the game. The graphics on the small screen aren't too bad for the Witcher 3 but when you play it in docked mode you will be disappointed if you're used to a nice PC but it's still tons of fun. Plus the Switch has a massive library if you're into RPGs.

@@Izzyoroz713 i love it so much. I was able to play games that I just watch on YT before, like Pokemon Violet, Diablo 3, etc. I also love the size, it fits perfectly with my small hands. Do mind that it only comes in 32GB internal storage. But you can always buy SD card for more storage. Buy it. It's really worth it. 👍🏼

I’m a 38 yr old man who’s never been into playing games. I’ve never really been interested in things like this but wanted something to start playing higher quality games on other than my iphone. I don’t want to always have to sit in front of my television to play on a console also. If you have one, do you think this is worth it?!

I stopped gaming a long time ago but i went back to nintendo when my partner had a wii u. I had so much fun playing mario and zelda games.. nintendo still makes solo gaming fun. Mario games are a great place to start if youre late to the party

I've had a Switch Lite for about a year and I definitely think it is worth the buy if you either already have or don't care to have a dockable Switch and just want a handheld gaming device. Super Mario Odyssey is my favorite game I've played so far, and I also think Kirby and the Forgotten Land is great too.

Hey, I’ve been debating a lot lately whether to have this or the OLED. I have the OLED in use and have the yellow lite just in my cupboard. Considering getting the blue switch though instead so unsure whether to switch yet. The advantage for me would be the d pad and the portable use

I never really properly gamed before but Red Dead Redemption really made me purchase a console for the first time. I was going to buy the OLED because of it's vast features but I bought a Lite last minute. It was bigger than I expected (I have small hands) but still very comfortable to hold. The buttons are nice and feel buttery and smooth. The video quality is crisp on the small screen, but the text is small and there will be some difficulty reading if you have poor eyesight, which is my only gripe. Speaker quality is not the best, but it's not a priority for me personally, so I don't really mind it much. I don't game for hours on end, but only for a short while so the battery life on this device is perfect for me. Since I've never used a handheld console before and have only used a switch for only a day, it will take some getting used to the controls. It's a great device and I'm glad I got it over the OLED.

I've been contemplating between the OG switch or the lite version for a long time. I'm a console player and I am definitely leaning hard to the lite version, but I also want to play and share the experience of the switch with my friends and bf, that's why I'm considering the OG switch because people says that is the best for multiplayer. If you want ir for multiplayer, I would definitely do the OG switch. Mario Kart, Smash bros, and Mario Party are just a few amazing multiplayer games on the Switch

We already had an original switch (which I love) but I have severe chronic fatigue and found that having to get up and take it off the dock was preventing me from playing games, which is a problem because gaming is one of very few activities I can manage on bad days. So I got a switch lite secondhand and it’s amazing! It’s so much more comfortable to play since it’s lighter and smaller, which I wouldn’t really notice if I was well but it’s made a huge difference. And it’s mine only so I can bring it with me around the house! Acnh is my most played game but I also love Zelda botw, pokemon let’s go and the untitled goose game. Kirby’s dream buffet is a new favourite! Tbh I don’t think botw would be ideal on switch lite but maybe link’s awakening or echoes of wisdom might be better?

I bought the pokemon Switch lite that is gray with black sticks and buttons. By far the best looking one I think. It can still be found online. I have noticed games run and look better on the Lite probably because the screen is smaller and maybe a slower refresh. The Lite is my favorite to take on a trip for sure.

Also one best things about it compared to rog ally, lenovo legion go, and the steamdeck is not just the size but it has physical games and not just purely digital. Something to be said about having physical copies of games. Its not a perfect system but its still a good system. Has an oled but got this for my brother since we share the oled together and if im on it he can use the lite but he loves the lite and is on it more than the oled. I personally would love to see an oled model with better battery life and stretched out oled screen but with new switch around corner i dont see that happening. Good case choice btw, my brother has something similar for better ergonomics. I got a yellow version since its one of his favorite colors, if it was orange it would be perfect for him ^^

I first had a switch lite when it first cams out, to plat fortnite when it was taken off the ipad 😅 i then switched to ps4 and ps5, but now ive just bought 5 switch lites really cheap for me, my oh and kids (to introduce them to fortnite!) Absolutely love this little handheld console. Really want mine for holidays etc, and when i want to game but not on the ps5. The games on this are amazing , with some good free downloads too. Ill always play apex on the ps5 though!

Thanks for the review been considering for months weather i should get one cause i do alot of all nighters at work these days i have a psp and love that console but i want to be able to play on some of the latest games i did get an android controller for my phone and was really disappointed in it cant use it properly outside of my home so just seen a switch lite for £125 in the uk where i live so definitely gonna get one on payday and in terms of games they are expensive so gonna charge it to my phone bill instead lol that way i have a month to pay that off

There's a mod for the Switch Lite that will add tv mode to the Lite so not getting it because it doesn't have tv mode or an OLED screen is now irrelevant because there's also a mod that gives it an OLED screen

I bought an OLED Switch but it's just sitting there collecting dust because everytime I sit at my desk I ask myself why would I play games on the Switch when docked when I could just play on my PC and get higher resolution and higher FPS. I'm actually gonna sell my OLED and buy a Lite for that very reason because I never play the Switch while docked because there is always a better alternative.
