I am a Pasadena native and attend the parade each year. Let me tell you, when Norfolk State marched down Colorado Blvd...NO OTHER BANDS COULD COMPARE! That sound, the ladies, the flags; it was amazing!! Y'all showed up and showed out! Way to represent our HBCUs. The Rose Parade needs at least 5 HBCU bands in the parade every year.

All I have to say is wow 5.5 miles of marching and playing and not taking a break. Shows you how discipline and how in shape these kids are in is incredible. I seen High School bands marching less than 2 miles and they were falling out. Great job Spartan Legion, you made us all proud of you.

This drum line has no peers!! Love the way the rhythm of the cadence changes after each song. What other band does that?! You will hear the repetition of tippity--tappity-tip-tap-tip.

Thats what I thought. I figured they might go easy with a song every 3-4 minutes. We did a mardi gras parade in HS that wasnt nearly this long and we were wearing down after an hour. This video is a testament to NSU Spartan physicality and endurance - like the ancient Spartans
