"cheese is man's great accident" seems like a huge understatement considering that we're talking about a bipedal primate eating the rotted and processed mammary fluids of a quadrupedal ungulate. It only seems normal because of how unnatural everything else we do is (hyperbole). From 18-22 all you do is become a more miserably cynical version of yourself with a few extraneous skills. From 0-4 you transform from an unconscious meat lump into a walking, talking self-conscious person. You also double your volume, thats kind of impressive in itself. Lifesteal and Heal-on-Hit are very different things. Lifesteal heals you for a percentage of their damage taken and scales best with DPS and damage penetration effects. Heal-on-Hit heals you for a fixed amount every time you hit an enemy and scales best with attack speed and raw stats.

On a technical level, it is *not*, in fact, lifesteal. Lifesteal involves A dealing damage to B and gaining health from B. This involves A dealing damage to B, and gaining health from C. That said, calling it lifesteal as a shorthand' isn't a big deal because it's the same result (gain HP via DMG) It's all extremely pedantic.

About lactose intolerance: most babies are born lactose tolerant due to having to live off of their mother's milk. The "odd" thing is that in some cultures they started consuming the milk of their live stock, which might explain why some ethnic backgrounds are linked with a higher chance to develop lactose intolerance. It's one of those games that's more fun to play than watch. If you like the idea of Absolver then watching people play it is appealing because you can recognize the patterns and moves they're throwing out, but if you don't have a lot of interest in it you're not going to get anything out of it. It looks fun, but is definitely not a stream game.

omg nl, its not life steal. Think about it logically.. you do the same amount of damage whether your in heal mode or not. When you are in heal mode, you heal the same amount every attack. Also, it just doesnt work when theyre blocking because you only heal when you get a hit that damages the enemy. You are NOT taking any of the enemies health, like rob or nick said, life-steal usually takes a percentage when used. (Very similar to life-steal, but NOT LIFE-STEAL)

Exactly. Life-steal means that if you increased your damage or crit chance, you'd be able to heal more based on those stats. If it's a set amount of healed HP no matter what, it's just heals procced by successful hits. Someone would want high accuracy/attack speed (if those stats existed) instead of damage or crit chance. That's just one of the reasons why it matters.

Nick trying to say it's not life steal unless it's a drain is the most RIDICULOUS thing I've ever heard. Lifesteal is an on attack thing in way more games than it's some kind of draining channel type thing. If anything, it's more likely called spell vampire if it's some passive drain, not life steal. Life steal is on hitting fools. Rogue Legacy, LoL, BB, any other random ass shit that comes to mind. On the other hand I can't think of a game where life steal isn't taking some health on hits.

I don't get the complaints people have about 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'. I personally liked it more than the first one. I saw Hawkeye's importance in the team more in the sense of moral support than effectiveness, but that doesn't mean he and Black Widow have no purpose in the climax. And with the question of "Why doesn't Thor just kill all of the Ultron sentinels?", I think the answer to that is that it's not the purpose of their mission. Their first priority was to save the civilians as best they could, while holding some sentinels off, which people like Hawkeye did (essentially as a sniper in a battlefield).

I think the problem is that people (Read as Americans mostly) don't know what they want nor understand. They want a full on superhero movie, they don't want moral support roles like Hawkeye or Widow when they also fulfill the role of the "regular" which is a basic human character to make superheroes look more super than they are, I mean really Captain America is just a dude on super 'roids in spandex, Iron Man is a douche in a tin can, etc; that already gets rid of 1/2 of the Avengers since really Thor is the only one with actual crazy ass powers. But they don't seem to understand the importance of side characters like that, imagine how boring it'd be if it was only an hour of the people with powers pretty much just showing off their powers with nothing to really compare it to, like say, the first Thor movie. Plus Age of Ultron was kinda all over the place, it really felt like a lot of the scenes were either changed or left on the editing room floor because of time or because they dealt with concept your average American moviegoer isn't gonna understand.

It didn't sound like he described it well, whatever it may be for the mechanic in game. The easiest distinction is that Lifesteal is a stat that gives you health directly proportional to the damage you've dealt, while something like Life On Hit gives you a fixed amount of health every time you hit an enemy. The difference being that really shitty damage, fast attacks would skyrocket your health with Life On Hit, but would be really meh with Lifesteal.

@KoopaKrump Well the DPS should more than make up for the fact that you are only dealing low damage and getting back low health. I mean, the only difference between one huge life steal hit and a thousand life steal hits is that one is more hits than the other and admittedly one giant hit is more efficient depending on most circumstances.

Oh, its just a way that two different life-gain mechanics can work even if they're both triggered when attacking an enemy. Lifesteal tends to be held in check by tailoring it to high DPS - whether its done on giant chunks or thousand-papercuts. Life On Hit usually is allowed a much higher heal ceiling, but usually at the cost of a damage source that can pump the most DPS out. Whether it be from armor reduction effects slashing down the power of frequent, low power hits or the fastest weapons not actually having the highest DPS (baseline), there's certainly ways to make each type of healing more beneficial for stuff like this.

I played DooM with my dad when I was 5 (he'd control the character and I'd shoot), and I was okay with it despite the violence and horrible imagery because we were killing demons. When my dad played Wolfenstein, though, it'd scare the hell outta me because he was killing people, and sometimes he'd shoot one of those scientist guys and they'd yell, "NOT ME!" if they were actually friendly (if I remember right, they'd pretend to be friendly but would shoot you in the back if they were bad). Killing an innocent dude was scarier than getting maimed by a giant pink bipedal bull dog worthog monster thing by far. I actually think Pinkies are kinda cute! ......Maybe I am fucked up. o_o
