Nidhogg is a serpent which gnaws on the roots of the World Tree. According to some parts of the mythology it also consumes the population of Nastrond, which is the part of Hel that is specifically reserved for the absolute worst of all criminals (murderers, adulterers and oath-breakers).

If the question is serious, Drac makes a different thumbnail each month for NL to use for the NLSS, usually to do with something that's been discussed by the crew quite a bit, sometimes just relevant to the month. For instance the Dec 2017 one was both, a Christmas themed one with NL getting gifted a green hat, which is apparently a sign of getting cucked some places. This one is due to them getting onto the topic of the middle stage of the cover morph ("middle face" or as Dan would say "center image") always being the best, most ridiculous. I believe the discussion started in the Ultimate Chicken Horse reboot, the episode where they did a custom level that was a bunch of faces made of the set pieces

When appying for a job, they don't call you in for an interview to gauge your intelligence. They can see on your resume your experience and education and know what yer capable of in that department. The vast majority of the population of North America is middle-class. So, they aren't applying for jobs at a law firm or a surgery or for a professorship. They are applying for manual labour jobs of what kind or another. So, no. Your intelligence isn't what's most important. Yer personality is going to be measured. And we all know the beautiful people have an advantage right off the bat. It's important to remember that how you want people to perceive you and how they are likely to perceive you may not be the same.

Um, yeah, but here's the thing: if you lose 25% of your attractiveness, it's easier to get back what you lost if you commit yourself to a lifestyle that involves physical training; people find athletic/fit people more attractive in general. If you lose 25% of your intelligence and you had average intelligence to begin with, it's not as easy to regain that, and arguably it may not be possible. Sure, you have to be committed to make the lifestyle choice to regain attractiveness, but it's still a thing you can do if you care about it that much; depending on what that 25% of your intellect you lose, you're more likely to be shit out of luck for compensating/regaining it in anyway.

Yeah Nick, what a terrible timeline we live in, where someone who makes a living online playing video games can take a 3 week vacation no problem. Also I am not criticizing him taking a vacation, I'm criticizing how unappreciative he is of the times we live in. Yeah, not everything is perfect still, there's a lot of bad stuff going on, but it is a hell of a lot better overall than it was just ten to fifteen years ago. ESPECIALLY if you live in a western, 1st world country such as America, Canada, or most of western Europe. I still love ya Nick, and I'm glad you're back and I'm glad your trip to Ireland was great. But still, be more appreciative of the times you live in.

Speaking of IQ gaps, Google "global IQ by country" and peep the gap between Japan and the Congo.
@tristanstrain97517 жыл бұрын
Oh yes. Comparing the very environmentally dependent IQ test results of Japan, with 38.8 thousand USD gdp per capita, and Congo, with 450 dollars USD gdp per capita. Completely valid points t except for the points where it isn't. It IS okay to be white but I don't see what that has to do with putting down other races.. Especially with faulty reasoning! Have a good day.
@tristanstrain97517 жыл бұрын
You missed my point, and didn't address my second question. I never said they were biased towards westerners. I'm saying that unless you control for socioeconomic status and opportunity, there are no meaningful conclusions you can draw from IQ tests. IQ can shift wildly before age 8, so obviously those exposed to more education at those young ages do better. You are absolutely right that the IQ is low in African countries, though not due to genetic factors. We should offer humanitarian aid to help those people in poverty in those financially deprived countries to help raise everyone's skill there.
@tristanstrain97517 жыл бұрын
Additionally, the ability to use numbers and comprehend what is being read do heavily depend on being taught those things. Low educational opportunity results in lower IQ. The IQ list outlines a disparity, though much more of an environmental one than genetic, which is what i assume you were arguing. Perhaps that is my mistake! But anyway, all of this isn't even mentioning different types of intelligence, which isn't really important to my argument, anyway.
@itsokaytobewhite39057 жыл бұрын
Furthermore, your entire argument hinges on the claim that differences in intelligence test results cannot be due to genetic differences. This basically means you have accepted a burden of proof that you will not be able to bear. I posted the findings from Scientific America, but there are also twin studies, for instance, which show intelligence (and even personality) is significantly influenced by genes. Genes matter, my friend.
@MediocrePear7 жыл бұрын
You can just say you hate black people my dude. We can tell that's what you actually mean.
@serrano3337 жыл бұрын
so, if you KNEW you were going to lose 25% of your intelligence can't you just re-educate yourself? or are you losing 25% of your brains capacity to store, use, and process information? if not, giving up the intelligence it probably the better bet even though it seems like an easy choice to give up the looks. but then you could also bring up something like plastic surgery :/ it's a question with too many outs
