Best part of the video is Lionel mentioning 16:05 that he should ask for the coffee machine from Jan Frodeno and 4 seconds later at 16:09 the Porta Potty is being delivered and Lionel is amazed by his wishes being granted so quickly. That was a solid/liquid unexpected sequence.

Loving the Vlog guys. Just a quick correction on Lietos comment about the cocky ones never go well on their first Kona. Crowie finished 2nd on his debut in 07 then won 08-09. And he wasn’t cocky like Macca! Don’t mean to be picky but he’s a good mate from The Shire. Good luck on the weekend mate.

yep, he is everywhere under the radar - and he will deliver a Marathon from hell. I have seen him live running in Roth at humid 28-30C degrees - he was so super fast, after riding more or less 2/3 of the bike alone

Lionel needs to use a torque wrench when tightening his thru axles. Too much torque is bad for the frame and the axle and too little torque on the axles can impact disc brake effectiveness significantly.

In addition thru axles are often tighten with too little force. 11nm is recommended.

@@Tethysmeer depends on the bike. My SWorks requires 15nm. In my case it makes a big difference if only 12-13nm, lots of pad/disc rub and poor braking.
