Probably very few if any of those actresses are actually real LDS. OR they aren't living it. This show as well as the handmaiden show are also Psyops to move the public into position to get the country to shut down the LDS religion in the future. OR to water it down to the point of being near so. And to cause mass rejection of the gospel through bad programming. The Heretic movie is also in a similar position. And it also comes down to... when the economy goes bad people look for someone to hit for it. They want a scapegoat. This is part of why people are going after certain s e m i t i c groups; the countries elites are in fear for all the embezzlement and theft they have done. So they are programming society to go after someone else instead of themselves. Its not a coincidence that all these shows and movies have similar themes. They are sabotage.

When I was a missionary I was walking with my companion and a person came up and sang, “Joseph Smith was a prophet.” And I sang back, “Dum dum dum dum dum,” while laughing. The guy was taken back that I could quote the South Park episode to him. We ended up having a great conversation on what we believe and the things South Park got right, and the things they got wrong. I’m not sure what came from it except that the guy was always nice to us when we saw him in the streets. The point is, that we can use all of these media depictions of us to the benefit of bringing others to Christ. A good sense of humor goes a long ways. I think the woman of the church are having their “Mormon Moment” right now and when Netflix releases “American Primeval” the men will get theirs

We can become as Father in Heaven is, born from a God and becoming a god possibly ourselves, but even so with that, to us eternally we are always His children first and He will always be our God, Our Father in Heaven and He will always be honored and be above us, yet we shall be like Him and can and have the potential to become just like He is, in time and in the eternities become perfect, have our own children as He does, for this is His work and His Glory to bring to pass the eternal life and happiness of men. What a wonderful plan, but soooo many do not understand and think we are teaching we will BECOME GOD, NO NO no that’s not what we understand but we can become like Him and yes potential to become a god, but Not God, He our Father in Heaven will always be God to us. Hope that kinda helps to understand better abt that. Blessings and great comment.

@kolobkolobkolobkolob Ай бұрын
@@noskalborg723 yeah could be. I also like to think things in simple terms, I know we are far from being just like Heavenly Father, God, but since we are His Sons and Daughters it makes me reflect, how different can we be from Him, God in terms of being created in His image, we are likely not so different then Him, God, but just very much more imperfect. But like any Father I’m sure He wants us to be like Him, was thinking how Christ kept telling every one and teaching by example He would say things like, I always do the things that please my Father in Heaven, or Be perfect even as your Father in Heaven is Perfect or just like Christ. He, Christ of Course knew and explained I’m going to die for you so you can be redeemed and I can redeem you if you are willing to repent and, also keep working on becoming perfect even as Father is but not making excuses and sinning when ever we want thinking grace will save us in our open rebellion against Father, God. I know you know these things already but thought I’d just add more to the thread here for just couple minutes. Thank you for your kind reply and insight. Blessings

Way back when the Equal Rights Amendment was in the news, Sonja Johnson, a member of the Church, made a big fuss about the ERA; I felt upset because she wanted to make the Church look bad and expressed to my missionary- in-Netherlands friend my feelings. That dear missionary set me straight when she told me that Ms Johnson’s words and actions actually got missionaries in the door because some Dutch wanted to know what the Church’s position was about the ERA. As He always does, the Lord makes a way for … “the truth to go forth boldly until it has penetrated every clime” …. I learned something from my friend that day: get to work instead. She shared how she was a lawyer, and worked the entire time she had small children because she needed to work to help support her family. I hope someone in the Church that can make this happen, does it. Sort of the like the movie they made called "Meet the Mormons" back during President Monson's time.

Regardless of where members stand with their faith or interpretation of the religion, there is absolute doctrinal truth that needs shared and brought to light. People will always choose to live their religion how they want, but it doesn’t change the truths of how it should be lived, according to God’s laws. Good for these women for representing truth, regardless of backgrounds, life experiences, etc.

A “real” Woman that I know is the one that started the Families Mentoring Families non profit. She had sons serve in Africa and felt the call to do more. She and her family sold everything and moved to Africa to open literacy centers and job support centers with the goal to strengthen families and communities. As much as possible, these literacy centers are run by local leaders. I think they have over 50 centers now. They also welcome and support girls that are rescued from trafficking situations. This is such a huge problem where the reality is so far worse than imagined. It would be so great to continue this conversation by hearing from other woman trying to live their faith like Rebecca Rogers. Her story is so inspiring and show how much more we are really capable of.
