I was at this concert! I was 16 and it was my first rock show of any kind.

I remember being really struck by the fact that MK played a Les Paul for so much of this show having always (Money For Nothing and Brothers In Arms notwithstanding) always associated him with [Custom] Stratocasters. Interesting that on the original NH tours he played his Schecter Strat but graduated to the LP for these shows.

Great version of Water Of Love. Wish we had the soundboard recording. Thanks for the upload.

Late reply but 5 years later I hope you have already discovered that there are soundboard recordings of this version on his solo 1996 tour. If not just search youtube for them and have fun.

outstanding performance but I just wanted to notice how your Dire Straits band members is a bit wrong. The only Dire Straits members were Mark and David Knopfler, John Illsley, Pick Withers, Hal Lindes, Alan Clark, Terry Williams, Guy Fletcher and Jack Sonni. The others were simply asked to help tour but were never band members
@ekstradycja6 жыл бұрын
same with Hal, Terry and Jack -only hired guys to help especially during tours, also Phil Palmer and Chris White and look who's invited to be introduced to Rock'n Roll Hall of fame? apart from MK and John? David, Pick, Alan and Guy
@blbeats57893 жыл бұрын
Hal has been a band member, he was with the band from 1980 untill around 1984 i think. Terry and Jack were band members too but just for a shorter period

You're welcome , ms & kaleomk. Yes, sadly the quality of equipment and the circumstances under which the recordings are made isn’t always conducive to best quality results.

Концерт конечно отличный без сомнения,там где Марк всегда все качественно,но видео не очень картинка плывет и все в красном полумраке,поэтому и просмотров маловато.
