I took mine a few days ago, got cut off at 70 and spent an entire day kicking myself, pouting, just convinced I’d bombed the thing. And then when my results posted I stared at the ‘open’ tab for ten minutes, sick to my stomach with anxiety. Turns out I passed. It was like air being let out of the worlds most painful balloon man lmao. I’d never have thought it on my first try, but hey. I’m proud that I did.

Took my NREMT yesterday. Passed. First attempt. Cut off at 70 questions. What Evan is saying in this video is 100% accurate. Also, Evan is a proponent of “knowing the material” vice spending countless hours on practice questions, apps, flashcards, etc. After taking the NREMT I 100% support this advice. It’s not just Evan trying to sell subscriptions to his video vault. I was using medic test, pocket prep and a few others prior to finding The Paramedic Coach. I was absolutely scatterbrained. I put all that crap to the side and focused on my in-class instruction (had a phenomenal instructor) and the video vault for at home reinforcement. I’m not being paid a dime for this review. Just trying to help folks out because I first hand know the stress the NREMT cause. Disclaimer: Evan, if you want to pay me for this review or send me some free paramedic coach swag. I’ll take it 😂

Was it your first time testing? I already took it twice and failed so I am trying pocket prep+paramedic coach videos
@megatronwhosalwayshighonth79466 ай бұрын
@fluffystagbeetle4526 Hey, sorry for the late reply. Yes, it was my first time taking the test, and I was fortunate enough to pass. The thing that helped me most was just focusing on the main categories: Airway, circulation(bleeding control), cardiovascular, obgyn, and splints. If you can get a good handle on the first 3, you should be ok. Hopefully this helps.

Wow. All the videos I have been watching are from 2 years ago. Glad to see you're still making them. I need to catch a live stream so I can ask some questions. One thing I've been curious about that you hadn't explained was WHY tall, skinny males are more susceptible to medical TPT. I finally asked one of my paramedic friends- Because theyre frame is longer and more narrow, coughing attacks or working out too hard can collapse their lung. You harped on TPT a lot, but never explained the WHY for the tall skinny males. I love these videos. I watch them in between my EMT chapters of Caring for the Sick and Injured 12th Edition.

I passed the exam today first try stopped at 70 questions, all thanks to your videos (and pocket prep). I got the results 3 hours after the exam. Would you ever consider making day in the life/ ride along videos?

Right on regarding alpha wave entrainment. If you listen as background make sure they are isochronic tones. If they are binaural beats you must use earphones.

Passed my written on Tuesday!! One psychomotor away from being a certified emt!!
@dangerszewski98169 ай бұрын
I would add only one thing which you touch on briefly-- studying over too short a time. EMT training is not like highschool geometry where you can cram and it's okay if you forget it all in a week because you passed the test and never need to solve for a complementary angle again. You'll use things these on the daily. Spaced repetition is the only proven way to learn and retain information in a way that you can quickly recall under duress. If you don't do spaced repetition over a long and consistent period you might get close enough to passing to convince yourself you can do it but you'll never be a good EMT and most likely won't ever pass.

I took my NREMT this past Tuesday and passed first time. 😁 It was actually a bit anticlimactic because my teacher's test were way harder and took all the time. Her tests could take the class 4 hours to finish and 75% of us would fail. But NREMT took an hour and about 75 questions.

IF you take the exam and fail, do you get to see the areas you need to work on? One thing I hate about most tests is not seeing what I didn't understand enough to pass. Its hard to keep track as you go through tests. Are notes allowed to be taken during the test?
