Vipra vipra Definitely not the same. We do not just declare a new border unilaterally, out of no where, like the India case. China's objective is to define its border through new treaty signed by PRC itself, although historical claim does have a role in the process. The problem is India believe it's all well defined and no disputes at all, at least before the 1962 war, which is not true. Basically recognizing vs denying existence of the problem.

We have traditionally had excellent relations with Tibet. Help the Tibetans in their struggle for freedom. Once Tibetans establish their Independent self rule surely border differences resolve completely. It is for the world to recognise the plight of Tibetans loosing their homeland & under constant subjugation. Elsewhere if Israelis could be sympathised with to find their home, so why not Tibetans. Tibetans need all the help to stay free in their homeland. Then it would be meaningful to resolve border differences with the gentle Buddhist people of Tibet than greedy CCP.

How do you deal with someone who wants to save his face, but wants another to lose theirs? They want to be seen as a superpower, prince regent, leader but to another, they want diminished and humiliated? I think this is inevitable, India has to militarize their borders. I am talking serious militarization with land mines so that they stop creeping in further. They will not fight a war because their supply lines will be stretched from the plateau. And if they sink into Indian territory, Indian slope disadvantage becomes their disadvantage, they think Indians aren't able to do that. You cannot allow another element of surprise, instead, claim Aksai Chin and bargain it for dropping their claims on Arunachal. Simple trade, less drama, the Chinese have lost Tawang, this needs to be accepted. India is China's counter weight, this needs to be accepted by them.

You should hand it to the Chinese that they had a strategic view even when the Communists came to power in 1949 and they have worked continuously towards this end. Nibbling, salami slicing, two steps forward one step back or creation of artificial islands and the EEZ with it was and is an ongoing process towards it’s expansionism . USA fell to lobbying of American business interests to bury the hatchet during the Nixon era and compromised it’s strategic interests. USA is now confronted by a Frankenstein. India unfortunately at the time of Independence was led by a political novice who believed in morality even after the recent tragedy of the War and wanted to do away with the Army. The politicians failed India time and again. The Chinese communists are to thrashed like a bully and thrown out of Aksai Chin.

Insightful, but if you ask China to explain or justify its border claims it too will present similar or even older maps possibly dating back to the Chinese Middle Kingdom era that they believe in . So the border issue and tension will probably linger and cost a lot of money. People in India should rally thank Mr Amit Shah and Mr Modi for so unwisely stoking this border issue by claiming POK and Aksai Chin.

They have passed a bill in parliament showing Ladakh and JnK, to do that in Indian Parliament u have to face opposition n then u have to explain why u show something which u don't have, hence they said we will take back Aksai Chin, because otherwise opposition will not sit quite as ruling party will gain upperhand without saying this so they made them say this . China got alarmed that India is going to take back Aksai Chin. But ur statement comes from fear that China will obliterate us and what not, that's the first time in so many 100 years China has worried and that's very good indeed, it is not used to such utterances from any Indian in last 100years. India will not lose an inch now. Chinese cannot fight Vietnamese on land let alone Indian Army which is ready to fight China alongwith Air and Naval support. Thanks to Amit Shah and Modiji for doing this.
