Lavine is so much better than anyone realizes because he's always had to be the main guy when he's really a 2nd or 3rd option. Forreal. Both LAvine and Jimmy are shaky 3 pt shooters . Also defensively speaking Jimmy is the only guy who is better than Murray, MPJ and Gordon in this conversation cause of his big back and his rebounding. As crazy as it sound Myles Turner might actually be a better option than both of these players cause hes a 3 pt shooting centre with pretty good defense. At least with Jimmy Butler Denver would have options and CAP space next off season. It helps them get out of a bad MPJ contract and would allow them to add some much-needed depth this summer. The Nuggets issue on offense is the second team, not the starters. They don't have a single player off the bench who can get their own shot on a consistent basis and they regularly blow double digit leads every time Jokic rests.

I think the Jimmy trade is worth the risk just because there aren't a lot of teams that are contendors that could sign him. There's the magic and possibly the warriors if they don't get another piece by the deadline and also the T-wolves if they get rid of randle in the off season, but I don't see them or Jimmy being interested in a reunion. It would kind of depend on what';s most important to Jimmy at the moment, money or winning. As for Cam Johnson, I see him as a straight up upgrade over MPJ. I've been a big fan of his for a couple of years, both of those guys, but Cam Johnson just adds more. He's a more willing passer than Micheal 'The possession ends here' Porter Jr, a far better defender, as efficient if not more so and a far better defender. I think he adds more fluidity to the denver offense and is a better upgrade than people are predecting

I think the buggets need to get their defensive players, dude their offense already tough with jokic there, why should bother with another offensive players like Lavine???? Do they seriously need to get through the play-off???
@Miles_3054 сағат бұрын
Depends on how much a contender wants to win. The only one who has been there before and showed and proved is Jimmy Butler. You absolutely know what your getting😅
@dan61909Сағат бұрын
Jimmy is the clear talent upgrade but where tf does he fit?? You cannot have a lineup with only 1 real shooter and a good catch n shoot center as the only shooting in your starting 5. It will fail 100%

i don't think Lavine or Butler would make them a contender to OKC or Dallas. I'd trade Porter Jr. (for Butler) and Murray when possible and rebuild around Jokic
@joshswartley9063 сағат бұрын
Why are we not putting Murray in this deal for Lavine? I understand he is beloved in the city but Denver needs shooting bad, you would be able to keep MPJ and have Jokic run point with Gordon playing the post. Having 2 great shooters would open that team up in my opinion.

Can you trade Murray this year? He just signed new contract.
@joshswartley9063 сағат бұрын
@ yeah I just thought about that. Probably not because if you could I would think you would hear something.

IF BUTLER IS STILL BUTLER FROM HALF A DECADE OR MORE AGO AND U PUT HIM WITH JOKIC... THE NBA WOULD BE IN TROUBLE!!!! What makes the Butler I remember so dangerous (half a decade ago) is that he will spend a whole regular season scoring under 20 to let the rest of the team get as many reps with the ball as they can and when the playoffs come he will start taking over. Meaning (in this context) he can score at a high clip while Murray gets healthy and then adjust to the team and when the team is all healthy they would be AN AMAZING pair on the court at the same time. The leadership he has I think is the kind that would compliment Jokic also and not overshadow him, and along with his age and understanding I think those 2 (jokic and butler) would want to work together and instantly mesh. It just feels and looks right when you look at the perssonel because I think you would get a lot of the positives that doesn't show up on stat sheets. P.S. - its funny because yesterday I saw a thumb nail that showed Butler on the Cavilers and I said the same thing, but Butler is one of the rare players that is not considered a point guard you could litterally every thing statistically you need while being able to fill a leadership role and not stepping on toes of any leaders currently on the roster. Maybe I'm wrong (i don't know any of these players) but just seeing him and knowing his role on other teams leads me to believe he makes any team considerablly better, and on a team like this being any better instantly puts their asperations as championship contenders seam far more believable.

IMO Lavine is a way better player than MPJ. both has 3 year left on their contract. Yes MPJ is 10 mil cheaper and no picks im not sure why Bulls would do it even if they want to move Lavine.

Jimmy Butler is probably my third favorite player after Jokic and Luka. The possibility of Jokic and Jimmy on the same time is just as tempting.
@roylee8114Сағат бұрын
I only mention this because you say you differentiate your channel from others with trade related stuff......Jimmy already flat out stated the only teams he would be interested in are Warriors, Suns, Rockets, and Mavericks.....so "logically" speaking it doesn't make sense. Also, doesn't help the 3 point shooting.

They need spot up shooters that’s it, give jokic two more shooters then they get a second ring
@matias96334 сағат бұрын
Do you think the blazers would be a team the nuggets would look at? Either Simmons or grant and if it’s grant then you don’t lose out on the defensive side as much
@digithing70054 сағат бұрын
i'm not an expert but i think Murray's contract becomes tradeable next year right? personally, I think you see what this team can manage this year without major trades (if you can get Cam Johnson without MPJ then sure but I think that's unlikely) then if Murray doesn't come back to some level of form look to trade him for a backup creator, or proper depth. When Jokic is on the floor the Nuggets have the best offence in the league so if they want an offensive solution the greatest impact is probably going to come from a 6-man, or high-quality bench centre not a starter.

I thought players that signed an extension could be traded on January 15. I could be wrong. Not that anyone would want Murray this season anyways

What about just bringing in smaller contact role players?

MPJ is NUGGETS 2nd best player..so why trade him..FIRE the GM who made this mess by giving MURRAY and MPJ those huge contracts

They should move Murray for Lavine and start Russ.

mpj, Zeke, FRP for Hunter and Bogdan. Who says no

Old, injured & wants a big contract. Is that not enough red flags? As for LaVine, what does he do better & worse than MPJ? In Denver he won't be the Levine you know. He'll be 3rd option & sometimes 4th option when Gordon puts up 25pts. What other skills does he have when he's forgotten in offense? Mpj is very tall (at SF) and important rebounder which gives them a very big front line. Id much rather get Cam Johnson who can shoot the three really well and is good on defense (better than LaVine) and has experience being the 3rd-4th option
@Frostie3234 сағат бұрын
trading MPJ for more shooting makes 0 sense. he's already a great shooter and a good rebounder. unless your getting a 2 way star he should stay. As a heat fan i would 100% trade MPJ for Butler.

There offense is only good when Jokic is on the floor. So they want offense so their offense doesn’t tank while Jokic is bench.

Would rather say the Nuggets need a bench, apart from Russ that bench is horrid. Harder defense as well.

Love Junior but he's not really a max contract guy to me. Especially under the new cba and the Nuggets really want rid of Zeke. Hope this goes through. Wouldn't mind Butler either, even if he is just a rental
