the O 'Jays are still a great group/ Fort The Love Of Money also a great bassline. Everybody knows this song. I met Dennis the bandleader and piano player in New Orleans in the early 80's. I play bass guitar for a group at the time called Cool Enterprise. Dennis is a cool down to earth musician. Love Ya'll !!

Get the original remastered cut, and put it on your thumpin' 1000W car stereo. Wait until about 3 AM...then turn it up in YOUR neighborhood, and watch as that bass line rattles every house window for about 3 miles.

@vozzervox- There's a few things that break down the race barrier....Music is one of them. This is a great song. I'm proof that you don't have to be coked up to appreciate this music. I'm a 40 year old white guy, and I've never done coke. I like this song cold sober!

Call it soul, call it rock or call it r&b; I call it tearin’ the house down, blowin’ the roof off, solid smoke. My favorite version of this golden chestnut from the past, if you have a version with clean audio, please do the world a favor and post it. I wish I’d been there, it looks like a party..
