Thank you Sharon and Karen for coming along with us through this pretty forest. Apparently there are some introduced Squirrels in Perth, on the Western Coast. But none on the Eastern Side of Australia. We have to deal with Possums, which for some people are pests. Possums are natives to Australia, There are the Brush Taile Possums and the Ring Tail Possums. The Ring Tails have very cute faces. Have a great week Ladies. 🐿️🙏🏼👍🏼🤠🌳

Well done on pronouncing indigenous names -- good effort Oaks are a favorite tree of mine - love the leaves Acorns were a native food back in the day I imagine Great little reserve. Always good to top off with some tasty treats Cheers 22

Pretty Oak Forest! Really interesting to hear how long ago the trees were planted and how the woods have changed over time. The only oak I can think of that’s in Western Washington is the Garry Oak. Its habitat is threatened and conservationists are working to help establish some new forests. Thanks for the walk and pastry! 😄👌👍👍 - Cheers, Jen

Here the Oaks are like weeds as they are not natural to Australia and as you can see on the ground they are prolific growers, "From little acorns, big Oaks grow". Thank you for joining us. 👍🏼🤠🙏🏼🌳

Lovely place. We are close to the southern edge (15 minute walk) of Sherwood Forest, or what remains of it. There are many oaks to enjoy here. We have some pretty ancient and venerable trees including the Major Oak, one of the biggest in England. It is reputably over a thousand years old. There are also plenty of squirrels to make full use of those acorns. As I am sure you can see from our videos we have consumed many pasties in our time. Those you were enjoying looked great.
