Love it when Flamuel L. shows up! Those are flam taps and Swiss triplets, and there's endless little combos to be made out of them. If you really want to work your hands and be a hotshot you can turn them into inverted flam taps and alternating Swiss triplets. It's a little advanced, but it definitely builds hand speed/stamina.

Hey Bob,,, thanks for everything this past year. You've really helped me out. I pulled the muscles in my shoulders. It turned into a severe arthritis in my hands. I couldn't hold my sticks for a long time,. It was killer bad. Your lessons helped me a real lot. Using really skinny sticks I got off of old wooden hangers and 7a drum sticks, you're helping me get back to playing drums. Dude,,, much love......oh,,, Happy Christmas to you and everybody reading. Peace and love. Oh yeah and. Gretsch Drums.....

Another great video Rob. Love the exercises and this gives me more material to play in odd time signatures. I love playing around in 5, 7, and 9 and I can see a great benefit to these exercises. Once again thank you for the instruction.

Just got myself a practice pad for Christmas so adding this to my "to do" list... and I second what another commentator has said, we need "The Book of Beatdown". Maybe do mash up of a drum method book with a cook book and drop some of your barbecue recipes in with the exercises. Great lesson as always 👍

Nice one Flamuel..you sure hit that pad with "Fury-ous Vengeance"😄. Also tell Rob Merry Xmas from me🎄🎄

Weird, ive been working these too lately. I alternate the last three notes on the seven. These and swiss army triplet down beat displacement. Awesome hand builders.

Regarding “The Book of Beatdown” - if you ever consider collecting your lessons in an actual book, I’d be a glad customer. There’s room for another great printed collection of sticking exercises and rhythm lessons, IMHO, and yours certainly would be great! Just an observation. 🙂 ☮️💙🥁🎶
