You got your dropout spacings wrong, you said rear about 150mm and front 135mm, think it should be rear 135mm and front 100mm Nice to see the Kinetics frames though

As named, a Dutch firm, with a close to the original folding bike name, makes an off road version of a triple folding bike + repair and strengthening parts for those. But if wanting a folding MTB, the American Army originated a similar civil version, named Montague, which I admit only folds as half a bike, but still a kind of portable bike. Finn. Denmark 😀

@@TheBromptonGuy By the way, have you tried to used guide wheels on the Brompton changer, without the "side skirts", which in metal versions make a lot of noise? I think about going ordinary, but if it isn't possible I don't need to waste my time? Finn. Denmark

That tyre is a monster ! I am undecided between Black Jacks or CX Comp's.

It truly is a monster but did the job its made for and more. Definitely not use to slow rolling resistance compared to my road slicks but all a learning curve. I would prob pick CX Comps myself

You sound unnecessarily critical of the standard Brompton parts in comparison to the undoubtedly beautiful details and finish of the bespoke parts, and unappreciative of the purpose and the attention to detail that went into creating and manufacturing the original bike. Ben Cooper did not design the Brompton bike, nor set up a mass production facility to sell the bike at a reasonable price to the consumer - he designs and makes expensive bespoke parts as modifications to an established and well made product.

Thanks for the input. I agree that the original innovation was great but I do feel that Brompton have purely focused on mass production and less on modifying/innovating on an already great product (Maybe cause Will and Andrew have two completely different ideas of how to run a company) Personally even if you kept a 16inch wheel having a disc brake option only makes sense! and with the British weather makes 110% sense. I feel because of there mass production introduction a different frame would be to complicated for the company and require a change to there existing production line, I mean they don't even make the T Line in there mass production facility. There is no discussing or challenge that Brompton already make a good and well made product and the fact it's made in the UK is even more impressive. Thanks again for the input.

Disc brakes are so ugly! I love the little caliper rim brakes on my Brompton, and they are a system that everyone can understand and fettle!

@@pootlingalong8928 see I’m the complete opposite! Love the look of disc brakes and the easier maintenance that comes with them. As a commuter that deals with wet roads all the time I think the disc performance for me out ways and weight or look issues. However appreciate rims brakes have their place. Thanks for watching
