@@jacksonhenry5588 a lot of the "inconsistencies" on this list are just character development or things that pertain to real life. Kevin is a little bit anti-social and weird. I like to think that when someone else told him to wash his hands in earlier episodes, it became apparent to him that that is something that he should do, so he tells others to do it. So rather than being an "inconsistency" it becomes "consistent" with his character development.

I think it's more that the writers changed over time and what started as a semi-realistic show about awkward office cultural got super wacky over time to where most of the characters originally written as "normal people" became caricatures. But yeah, some characters' "evolution" seemed more natural than others.

Also, bear in mind that Season 1 was basically a carbon copy of the British version. British humor is more dark and American humor is more lighthearted, so when they made the show a little different and made it their own. First season, Michael was a d*ck, but Season 2, he was more of a likable idiot. Pam gained confidence after the art exhibition when Oscar and Gil were talking about her artwork. Lots of stuff like that.

@John Barber actually between season 1 and 2 there's no such thing as transplant. I have light hair so I know that when you gel up the hair, and style them pulled backwards it will maximize the balding look, on the contrary dried up side parted rested hair would be the opposite. If you continue the scene where Michael talks about college parties, he goes on to describe his fantastically delusional ideas of what college parties are like (inviting the professors, etc.). I think that was just another way of him trying to pretend he went to college, and very clearly not a plot hole. It's very fitting for Michael to pretend he went to college (consider that time Darryl rhetorically asks him what college he went to) and this is another instance of that.
@popperpoppler4569
@popperpoppler4569 Жыл бұрын
Yeah I think it was pretty obvious that the few instances of Michael talking about going to college are either him trying to fit in unsuccessfully or meant to be clunky segues into what he actually wants to talk about, like the scene where he says the things he misses most are the parties but really he’s just trying to get Jim to invite him to the party he knows he’s already having.

The writers were mad at Ed Helms for filming another show and missing filming the office so they added some bad character changes. You can tell throughout the ninth season they realized they made a mistake and changed his character back to the Andy Bernard we knew. We all go through personality changes in life and this was a wave of Andy’s changes. All of the characters changed. Something that is rarely brought up is how it was scripted for Jim to cheat on Pam and then put into deleted scenes. Edit: Thanks so much for the likes 🙂

It doesn’t matter on any show really. The reality is almost all shows start out different than they end up, and while consistency would be nice, it’s almost impossible considering how many exposures they have to write. In the end, it’s all about making 20 episodes a season being funny, and consistency gets thrown out the window.

You didn't mention the worst one(the only one that actually made me confused on how they missed it). In Season 8 Dwight had an emergency appendix removal during their 3-week trip to Tallahassee, directly after surgery Dwight leaves the hospital and is seen at Sabre showing off his wound. The very next episode in Jim's hotel room we see Dwight take his shirt completely off and there is no wound or scar or anything to signify that he just had surgery the day or two prior. And then the next episode Dwight mentions his post-OP appointment while saying he will cancel that appointment in order to stay and work to get the VP job.

There are more than 240 movies better than pretty woman, and you can live your whole life without watching it. I've seen it a lot because I was born in the 80s and I had like 50 movies in vhs growing up. Some I watched once a month, like star wars or back to the future, others never, like fried green tomatoes, and others once in a while, like pretty woman or four weddings and a funeral. Unlike the latter, which I learn to love more as an adult than ever before, I haven't seen pretty woman since then. It's a nice little story about prostitutes being people too and that's about it. If you like julia roberts but hate whores this is a good movie for you to learn not to be such as douchebag to them, cause they're just like you, and me, and julia. But if you are a normal person who already knows that you can't treat prostitutes like shit, whether they look like julia roberts or not, then you don't need to watch this movie. At this point in 2019 the only reason to watch this movie is just to avoid somebody saying "You never seen pretty woman?!", and then having to listen to that person talk about it like you've been wasting your entire life. But no. I'm pretty sure there were even 240 movies better than that one in 1990 alone.

Freyja Cooper People break up. Every relationship isn’t going to be all sunshine and rainbows. In reality some people date multiple people before actually falling in love/ finding the right person. She was never head over heels in love with Gabe, she found him quite revolting actually and that’s why she broke up with him. She wasn’t happy with him and he could be quite possessive. Now Andy and Erin were just adorable. Once they started to date they were just perfect, but people change and that’s exactly what Andy did. He messed up and left her for months (never told her when he was coming back + didn’t even invite her) He rarely communicated with her over the few months he was on vacation (i think he sent her only one email while he was away) Over these few months she reevaluated her relationship and grew to dislike Andy which was justified because who leaves for months without communicating. She felt as if he forgot about her. Over this time period she met her other half but did not want to believe that he could actually be *that special person* and wanted to stay Devoted to Andy even though he was an ass. But the heart wants what it wants and it didn’t want Andy. She was hesitant to breaking up with him but she put on her Brave face and did it. I don’t think that ^ is the definition of Thot, my dude.

@@EM-wo6wfI looked this up and no it's not obvious at you say... in fact it wasn't like what she wrote at all? Atleast from what the actress, producers and writers all indicate. It is said that in the first storyline... they were supposed to be different waitresses, uglier ones indicating Michael and Andy failed at picking them up and had to settle for less . During filming they realize that the new asian waitresses was to pretty to play the role they intended for in the storyline so they made them out to be the same ones instead and continue with the storyline of Micheal confusing the two.... This is directly from the creator mouth and one of the Asian actress. This is an excerpt from in an article - The episode was shot in a real Benihana restaurant. According to the show's prop master, different actresses were used because Andy and Michael failed to pick up the original waitresses, and settled for "less attractive ones". At Paley Fest 2007, Greg Daniels admitted that the joke failed due to poor casting. The waitresses that comes to the office were supposed to be unattractive. Daniels stated that the actresses they hired for the role were "too good-looking"... No no no no no. I can’t even watch this long enough to find out if they have all my inconsistencies, because they started out with the volleyball thing which just adds to the plot, for me. Meredith saying she’s creeped out by Jim after he rejects her would make sense. And yeah, reusing actors or switching them up does not count at all. I was here for things like Meredith alternately having one or two kids, Dwight’s parents existing at the beginning but not later, stuff like that. Kevin Natenstedt yes you’re spot on. the first season was kinda a grungy, grey, dull looking show. im not saying the show was dull, it was hilarious, it just looked dull, on purpose. i think they were trying to make it look like the uk office. but later on they took a different approach, they made the show more colorful, they made michael have a nice full head of hair (he always did, i think they shaved it back for season 1) they made michael wear full suits instead of just a shirt and a tie, they changed jims hairdue to look nicer, just everything got more colorful and nicer and brighter looking, and one of the changes made was michaels hair.

my favorite inconsistency in the show is the timeline of andy’s parents’ relationship. in secretary’s day he states that if it weren’t for secretaries he wouldn’t have a stepmom. but then in a later season he states that his dad ran off with another woman, leaving the family with no money. however i feel like most of the ones talked about in the video are easily explained if you know the show well enough, have a logical explanation, or are deliberate as part of a joke. ://

It’s incredibly clear to anyone who has ever played volleyball or even just an athlete in general that Pam has never before or since hit a volleyball. It definitely is not a jump serve later in the episode either. The actor is just clearly not an athlete. Sorry

The strangler was confirmed to be the guy that was convicted. Toby had his doubts so when he went to visit the convict he got strangled in the same way
