A minor, gentle nitpick about the evolution: Two coexisting, humanoid species closely related to each other by a common ancestry living in different niches is a totally accurate description of how evolution works. We don't have to look further than to our own example (Neanderthals and primitive Homo sapiens coexisting before the latter species drew the first into extinction).

In fact Saiyans and Tuffles almost perfectly parallel Neanderthals and Homo Sapiens. One is stronger and ate a lot of food but more isolated but the other was weaker but needed less food and banded together more. Except in Dragonball’s case the other side of the coin won the evolutionary arms race.

That's what makes me appreciate GT so much. It did its best to try expand on things that Super just refused to even touch. I mean, it took Super 10 years to finally explore Piccolo's full potential. You know, the guy that's the reincarnation of the most powerful Namekian to ever live. So powerful that he could easily one shot DBZ Frieza and could go toe to toe with Fat Buu if he never split himself into Kami and King Piccolo Sr. I hope Super one day gets rebooted so we could see a proper exploration into the long standing and ever expanding mysteries of the Dragon Ball Universe instead of just... the random stuff we've gotten after the Moro Arc. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy what Super gives us. I loved Granolah and seeing Vegeta having to face the consequences of his race's past atrocities. But I just wish it would TRY to explore the secrets of Universe 7 that haven't been touched going back to even the original Dragon Ball series. Anybody remember the Demon Realm back then? Kid Goku could barely last in there way back when. I really wanna see Goku and the others with the way they are now FINALLY explore the place! It would be so awesome!!! But yeah, I'll just shut up now. Sorry for the long post. 😂

So, king Cold made the partnership with the saiyans official only shortly after the rebellion took its course. My money is on Cold being involved in the rebellion from the start, possibly to gain control over tuffle technology - maybe enlisting the saiyans in his army was nothing but an afterthought; a loose end to be tied up later (looking at you Freezer).

I always wondered if Bulma's family had actually been tuffle refugees that escaped the war and found their way to earth. It would explain a lot about her and her father's intellects being far ahead of almost anyone else's. It also brings up the possibility of Trunks being a hybrid Saiyan with a tuffle.

It's an interesting thought that would actually fit nicely in the lore of dragonball and could even explain three hair inconsistencies Bulma and Trunks have had. That... Does not make sense. Earth would not be their first option to seek refuge, much less under one specific family. And wouldn't the Tuffles get mentioned more often by Bulma or Dr. Briefs if they were on Earth? And why would it explain how Bulma and Dr. Briefs are smart? Can't they be smart on pure merit and perseverance? And why would Trunks be involved with a Tuffle? (Unfortunately) He's into Mai so that goes down the drain as well.

I never really thought about the tuffles too much, but it's a very interesting topic. Though I doubt we'll get too much more information about them, I'd very much like it for the world building. Tin foil hat: Dr. Briefs is descended from a wayward Tuffle, making Bulma part tuffle. Those two are almost uniquely intelligent compared almost all humans. That would also be funny, given her marriage to Vegeta. Also, they would be in space, right? Doesn't make sense that they were completely wiped out. Just saiyan.

If you think about it, Tuffles shouldn't be as "tall" as they are if their planet has ten times Earth's gravity. They should be extremely short but also extremely stocky, instead of just half of a Saiyan's height. Hell, we humans have a relative named Homo floresiensis that was barely a meter tall, and we're from the same planet. If their planet had twice of Earth's gravity, their short but not insanely short height would make a little more sense.

Vegeta mentions in Super that the saiyans originated from Planet Sadala and that they went to another planet therefore he was suprised, that planet sadala was still intact in universe 6. I wonder why you haven't mentioned that. These information are from a conversation between Vegeta and Cabba. So it is VERY likely that the saiyans had to slaughter the Tuffles in order to gain a new home planet. Therefore...THEY are the parasite more or less. They also lose their home planet two times

While Tarble and Gure's canonicity is debatable, Gure might be a member of the alien race Tech-Tech. The Tech-Tech have appeared in other Toriyama works before and after her appearance. That being said, they are a, usually, hostile race, so it's possible Gure is an exile like Tarble was.

I like to think Universe 6's Saiyans are actually a mixed race of Saiyan and Tuffle, hence why they don't have a tail anymore and why younger Saiyans like Cabba, Kale and Caulifa look so skinny and short. At least to myself, it makes more sense that this might be the case instead of Universe 6's Saiyans just evolving to the point where they didn't need their tails anymore and never getting an explanation for why Cabba, Kale, Caulifa and other Saiyans around their age look the way they do, but other Saiyans in their universe look vastly different.

crack theory: Dragon Ball takes place waaaay in the future. Earth in DB isn't the original Earth. The Real Earth, where base humans evolved, was destroyed and humans spread out in colonies across the universe/galaxy. Over the next million years, the colonies had lost contact with each other, many falling back into primitive ways and losing records of original Earth... and humans evolved into separate sub species, but aren't so far removed that they can't have viable offspring. (considering on earth, modern humans carry the DNA of Neanderthals and Desinovan Man). things this would explain: Dinosaurs, and humanoid-animals existing on Earth. Humans being born with rainbow color hair. Magic/Mysticism vs. Technology vs. Kai Techniques, and how much do these factors play in a sub species evolution. (The Truffle's technology vs. The Saiyan "Were-ape" Oozaru form vs. Humans being "all rounders")

I'm not sure. Planet Saiya might actually be Sadala and, according to Vegeta, it was destroyed in a civil war. That's probably why the Saiyans landed on Planet Plant. Though more Saiyans survivors wouldn't surprise me. We did get Broly!

It does fit nicely. I commented on this earlier today. There's almost no downside to this. The height, if considered, still fits Dr. Briefs and no other family id's nearly as prodigious as they are with technology. Weird cat thing could also be a Tuffle cat, but that's just a fun extra tidbit. Shame we'll likely never see this pan out.

Yo what if the Saiyan's got more than tech from the tuffles but they actually inherited the planet hoping system like a space radar like if the tuffles did do that for research the Saiyan's took over and instead of research use the system to send their young to take over other planets... that is till freeza shows up

I just thought: What if the destruction caused by Yamoshi when went Super Saiyan or Super Saiyan God is why the Saiyan's left Planet Sadala???

Super seemed to imply that the civil war Yamoshi fought in, possibly against Kanba if you count Heroes, destroyed Sadala and forced the surviving Saiyans to find another planet. Said planet turned out to be Plant which the Saiyans either tried to conquer right away, or actually tried to coexist with the Tuffles for awhile. If the latter, then something caused tensions to rise to where war unfortunately happened, and the Tuffles became extinct.

I have two questions MasakoX, about the ,,What if Freeza turned good,, Is the Cell in Dr.Gero lab different then the Cell from Trunks future? Because there was no Freeza DNA on earth. And when Freeza becomes acquainted with the Dragonteam or if they even become allies will he tell them that it was orderd to blow Planet Vegeta up when Beerus shows up?
