I bought a FLAC version of an indie band's album on bandcamp and a couple years later it was delisted. I then shared one of the tracks on youtube to give exposure of that type of music to others, and the drummer from that band messaged me asking if I had the whole album as he had lost his backup and did not have the original files. So I was able to send him the whole album in lossless. It was truly satisfying.

Because this point drove me up the walls, the way they saved media was by copying the master film reel onto another film reel then doing that hundreds time over to send out to movie theaters. Then when VHS came along, the process was more streamlined to copying that film reel more compactly so people at home can watch. Their "save" button was physically copying film strips. Obviously, that is a lot of work, and sometimes productions got 86'd from a high level, so hence we have so much lost media throughout the 60's and 70's.

Things about Rose Kennedy: - she was already finding it hard to learn due to damage to her because of incorrect instructions from a nurse during her birth - she had happy years in her life I believe in Britain in a monastery, and this really helped her and got her learning again, where previously she would only have knowledge that a fifth grader would. -she hated the competitive environment in the home, all the siblings wanted to be better than each other, multiple of them were studying politics for their careers. - Her father hid her lobotomy from the rest of the siblings including JFK, for like decades. They didn't know about it at all. In fact, they thought she was abroad doing social studies. - she died with all her siblings beside her, they tried to include her in a lot of activities after they found out about her horrible state and visited her initially.

Quite late but to Jackson or Kaya, whichever it was, trephination is specifically drilling a hole into the skull while avoiding going into the brain whereas a lobotomy is surgically or electrically severing one of the lobes of the brain. The key difference being that trephination doesn't, or at least shouldn't, involve brain matter being damaged.

I have my own personal lost media. In 2013, I recorded at least 2 videos. The first one is of me doing my work, with the camera on my face. At some point I left to go to the toilet and I turned the camera around to the classroom. The second one is of a couple of my classmates including me dancing to gangnam style. In december 2014 just before we finished, we were told that we could keep our computers but they would wipe them to take the school programming off it. So I put all my school work on it including the videos. When we got the computer back we tried to put it onto a wifi but the option to do that had been removed. We planned to take it back to the school to get it fixed but never got around to it. We saved all the files on a USB, and I believed it to be a pink one, but the pink she had I tried didn't have any of the files, so I think she wiped it figuring that I wouldn't care 😥😥😥😥. She does still have this USB, and a bunch of other ones as well so who knows. I looked at the USB a long time ago though.

you know what i think a huge part of the problem was when parents would write tv stations about their child having nightmares about an episode or a series? they most likely never even asked what the child's nightmare was about, let's say for example a child runs into the bedroom because they had a nightmare about their parents fighting and never got that out or even got asked, the parents are just gonna blame it on what they watched earlier in the day and not real life problems
