Billionaires are easy to feel less bad about, sure, but the rhetoric I heard mostly was people saying that the tour was akin to tampering with a gravesite, which is amoral. They were claimed by the spirits. The billionaire argument is more like, it was a million dollars that could theoretically save hundreds or thousands of lives spent on an obscure joyride to an already well-documented area. It was wasteful and ostentatious, and it wasn't even that cool. I do feel bad for the 19 year old. Apparently he didn't really want to go, but agreed to hoping to bond with his dad, or something along those lines. Sad.

@brandon9172 Жыл бұрын
Its not that people are happy about it but more so that they simply don't feel bad for them. Its apathy not hatred. They made the choice to spend hundreds of thousands of dollar , an amount that excedes most peoples LIFE savings, all so they could go on an extremely risky expedition. They ignored every single safety issue. Did they even take the time to read the papers they signed that made it clear how unsafe it was? Another thing that makes it even worse though.. A few days before they went on that expedition 500 people drowned off the coast of Greece. Hundreds of refugees/migrants who simply wanted a better life for themselves and their families died. Where was all the coverage of that? I guess a hundred children dying doesn't make as much of a spectacle
@almostrevan8230 Жыл бұрын
to add did anyone here about the boat of refugees who were left to die after putting out a distress signal because nobody wanted to take them on? an overcrowded boat of desperate people died for no reason because they are seen as less than human. If they show every death on screen it just becomes more of the same, dont mind it being mixed up. We do see on screen deaths in most movies today. If one dies off screen it does in cases make it more impactful. The characters might have internal conflict thinking could they have saved them? Why wasn't I there? Or even think they're useless. Other than that he has plenty of other bad takes if you watched every pod episode. Jut like how he openly gives Jackson shit for liking bad games or movies when he himself plays bad games intentionally like he's quirky. I have one in wireless config that I bought over a decade ago that still works and feels perfectly after hours of use, with no stick drift or any issues like others that have been making controllers for decades like Nintendo. No justification for the hate at all. Just a bunch of loudmouths being irresponsible and bringing negativity to the Logitech brand.

The tartaria conspiracy doesn't say we took them over, it says that a giant mud flood destroyed them, hence the buildings being under ground level. The theory says that the mud flood covered most of their cities and we rebuilt using the surviving structures.
@gvairsoft5994 Жыл бұрын
It’s a really dumb conspiracy. The majority of evidence can be easily explained by anyone with a decent knowledge of history. Tartaria believers often cite medieval European maps that label the majority of Asia as “Tartary,” without understanding the simple fact that Europeans didn’t have a detailed knowledge of the cultures and civilizations of Asia. Rather they just understood that the majority of Asia was ruled by the Mongols, who they called Tartars, hence why most of Asia was considered Tartary. The Kings and Generals channel has a really good video on breaking down the conspiracy

To build on the lunacy of the ocean bridge, you could use high speed mag rails to get across the Pacific Ocean in hours rather than days on a boat or burning fuel. Not sure how much that would help the environment but it would be way cheaper id think, once you build the absurdly costly infrastructure.
