Kaya killed the pacing of this podcast, his views were really biased and he constantly complained about society and Elon musk while talking over everyone for the first half. Most of what he said didn't contribute to the conversation and only made them switch topic to something negative or confusing, whether you agree with him or not his subjects just seemed out of place and poorly spoken. Maybe he noticed and decided to stop talking the second half of the podcast, which is where things started becoming more comfortable and natural

I disagree with Kaya. Elon wasn't the first to think of electric cars but he was the only one to make them properly, he's also the lead engineer at Space X so he actually did a lot of the math to create self-landing rockets, people had thought of it but Elon created a company solely to do that and push space exploration forward.

You guys seems to greatly misunderstand why people love Elon Musk. As said in the video he never claimed to create the electric car, we all know they have been around since the 1900s. But he invested millions into making it a viable consumer option that could compete with traditional petrol cars with all these oil companies trying to push Tesla down and have been talking bad about him and the cars the entire time. If he was some greedy businessman that just wanted your money- he would just make a fancy petrol car. Why would throw everything on the line to the point where his company actually was out of money and in a loss; where he then invested his own money to save it. If he was just in for the money. People love him because he is investing millions into technology to try and make the world a better eco-friendly place. He could of retired after his deal with PayPal and would never need more money and to work again- everything is is doing now is purely because he believes in what he is doing and whats the be the change everyone knows we need.

Its not as though he is even smug about it, these people just get so mad that he makes a bold futuristic claim as though they actually have a stake in his success. What i really care about when it coms to elon musk is the fact that he has already contributed way more to the planet than most people do. Obviously, he has the power to do that where most don't but he hasn't wasted the opportunity.
