I dont understand why they couldnt have just adjusted them and put them in order of the timelime instead of categorize them by worlds. It would've made more sense to split the story up into arcs and have the cutscenes organized that way. And of course include a play all option

Besides a chronological order for cutscenes the one thing I really wanted retained was the medal album. No reason to remove all that great artwork.

I just made almost the same exact comment. Anyone playing through this game is obviously a die hard KH fan, and how do they respect us for paying attention to the story? By deleting it and then taking the servers offline.. WTF? Square Enix was one of my favorite companies in the world when I was a kid, now I get more disgusted and disappointed with each release. I hope Nomura is able to get away from their control someday and have full creative control. It seems like he's never able to tell the true story he wants. I guess that's why he made An Oath To Return.

I wonder if I had stayed on the right path would the games that are now coming out have come out sooner? I know that it’s already been a couple of years since this game went offline, but I honestly miss the gameplay imo. It was fun to try and figure out different strategies and figuring out what order of medals were best to use for whatever kind of event that would’ve been going on at the time. 😕

Because the gameplay is so based on the pay-to-play scheme and on buying medals that since it's offline, it's no longer possible to level up enough or get good enough medals to get very far in the story.

I've entered the KH universe through Union X (cross), I've played for 10 days before the shutdown... and this Offline version isn't all bad, I just wish they hadn't shutdown the game itself. Once Dark Road Story is over, I'll play it too!

I just wish that they made a version that you can actually still play the game so that way you can experience it yourself without going through the theater. it doesn't have to be online to play it.

Yeah same with all other online games that have story mode. They should be playable offline. Because the apk package have all the assets in itself without connection. Many hidden gems lost because their shutdown.

is there no mods to restore the gameplay? also Dark Road is now complete but it's not a cutscene viewer, it's still a game so can't just view them without unlocking and the way it plays, it'll take a long time so I have to look it up online for now but what about Union χ gameplay? isn't there a mod to restore it for singleplayer purposes? maybe an unlockable version? something? cause I saw a Sephiroth battle and I wanna experience it and not just watch

I remember when I was a tot I would play this game on and off, I would get far but never finish the story, I re-downloaded the app today and the way it is now..just hurts me. I mean sure, I'm fine with the game going offline, but with the gameplay gone and the mess of confusing cutscenes, the story is kinda, ruined. The story doesn't feel rewarding because you didn't really do anything to make it progress. You don't get to see yourself grow because everything is given to you. And the medals, my favorite part, is gone. I don't think I wanna finish the story while the game is like this, I'd rather have an incomplete but somewhat better told story then...this

I have. A question. Prodigy. Why on your version of offline player records are not there? I can recall (before I deleted the app a few weeks back due to storage And having to free up space for a phone update) It was there plus the two other options. I’m just curious. Was this just some old footage for the video? Or something Or has the player records option been removed completely now??? Just wondering about why it’s absent from this video as I recall it being there before and also your title isn’t there though I can only presume you turned that off some how. Though I duno. Don't bother. If you uninstalled the app you just lost the save and with it you lost the player records, you would just see the screen like Prodigy does

Honestly, at this point, I just want a remake of the entire X story, Unchained, Union, and Dark Road, on the unreal engine 4, with the cutscenes and the medal gameplay being more in line with KH3, similar to how Chain of Memories' GBA card gameplay was remade to be more in line with KH1 on PS2.

Square didn't want to spend more $$$ on this game and they just copied the original theatre mode from the app which was not good. They managed to ruin the game even further for people who haven't played it, and will understand it better if they watch a youtube ordered compilation. The offline app seems to be there for people who played it before, for nostalgia sake. And that's so sad. I wonder why Square always punishes this game so badly. I mean, in MoM in the summaries Kairi talks about the book of prophecies and stuff but they didn't include any song from UX into the game. It's sad to see it being ignored so badly when I feel it's main to the plot nowadays.

I do like their early Pixar films and some of their golden age films like Lion King, Aladdin, Herculese, etc. I do enjoy the Marvel films and I've always been a big Star Wars fan, but in my opinion, I ferl like Disney hasn't really handled Star Wars all that well. I also really like the Pirates of the Caribbean films and I used to LOVE watching the mid 2000s Disney Channel shows, but yeah no, I'm just not that big with Disney. I'm also worried about how Woke they've become lately and also, the whole Gina Carano thing. Yeah. Sorry for nitpicking. Those are my thoughts on Disney. What about you?

I know this video is a year old now, but I came across this after downloading the offline version and being utterly confused about how I was supposed to experience the story. I mean, for goodness sake, it's not even clear if you're supposed to go down the left column of cutscenes and then the right, or if you go right to left from the start. As someone that never played the game (because I don't like playing games on my phone, and didn't anticipate it being so important plot-wise) this is just awful, honestly. I'm unsure how they're gonna need players to know all this stuff, when they're not even doing the bare minimum of putting the cutscenes in order. Anyway, I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking this, and I'm just gonna let KZbin show me the story at this point lmao

I know this an old video, but im ngl i never understood why they never implimented gameplay for UX when Dark Road is somewhat playable actually. Not to mention havin all of the cards as well Its not hard to add in the gameplay of UX AND the medals. The structure of theater mode is one thing, but they literally missed the opportunity to not only have the story in chronological order, but actually add the experience of going through the LITERAL JOURNEY of UX and fighting the story bosses like in the online version. I swear...its unfortunate what the offline is and will most likely never get updated, but what a damn wasted opportunity, especially when the only playable stuff is in Darkroad and the toon mini games
