I was doing some window shopping on my way to work and saw these classic grey New Balance 574 sitting on clearance. I OBVIOUSLY had to scoop them up given my latest New Balance obsession. These are such a classic sneaker to have in the collection because they do everything right. Between style, comfort, versatility, affordability and all the adjectives to describe a good set of sneakers - these meet every criteria. Classics...a must Have best shoe ever! All colors 55 years old still wearing them today! Never a Dad shoe! Dont know where that came from but i grew up in the Washington D.C. metro where these are a staple still to this day!

I will always own a pair of 574s. My old one broke after 6 years of extensive use and I replaced it with another pair of 574s, just different color, dark blue this time instead of dark red. The thing I love about them is that they work with 90% of the clothes you have, also are good in most of the weather conditions from summer to winter and are great in the city and also on trails. This pair is amazing and after you get your hands on one you will understand.

Hey, I think the colour is absolutely amazing.I bought my first pair two days ago and I have to say, my Nike and Adidas days are gone. I've never had a pair of trainers as comfortable as new balance. I did read that New balance was once Nike's rival back in the 80s.

literally just got a pair. wanted a cheap pair of sneakers for "outdoor" stuff, but living in a massive city the worst I get is some dirt trails up nearby hills, or forest parks so didn't want some full on outdoor walking shoes, and trail running shoes are...expensive. That being said, my sneaker collection mainly consists of Nike running shoes (for...running, obvs) and Jordans, none of which I particularly want to wear in "outdoor" situations. I've had 574s and 376 (or is 378? the ones with thin soles) before - they're cheap enough to replace, bland enough to match anything, and comfortable enough to wear all day, pretty much no matter where you are (obviously any serious hiking is probably a no-go), I definitely recommend them as a wardrobe staple for people who just want shoes to wear with anything, anywhere, any season. They are a total no-brainer. Of course the made in usa or made in uk ones are much better made, but they are also crazy expensive so they are probably not something I'd want to just kick about in. That being said, they are crazy comfy and are great for a daily shoe in an urban environment.

I got these in grey a few weeks ago and they are real nice looking. They go with almost anything style wise. Comfort wise they are about what I expected. The ENCAP is way too squishy in my opinion and I really feel my foot sink into it. That’s my only complaint though, the liner is soft and there is lots of cushion around the ankle. I wanna get them in navy, burgundy, and black now but I can’t do all that 😅. For now the grey is great

the traction is good , but not on the wet surfaces. I'd say it's like an ice-skating. So be careful.

I feel like only a couple months after this video dropped, these shoes had a massive boom in popularity due to the minimalism trend popping up, and the general public realizing shoes aren’t just the biggest brands out there like Nike or adidas. Not sure of the difference between the two, I don’t think there is one. They are TTS, I’d also recommend looking into the foot width because I know they have wide options!
