BioWare contracted Blur Studios for these trailers. At the time they were reported to cost BioWare $100k/minute to produce.

For the record, the Republic Troopers we saw in these trailers are members of Havoc Squad, an elite special forces unit which were specially trained to fight and kill Sith. That's why they were able to deal with some of the less powerful Sith.

In the written version when Satele Shan throws Malgus into that mountain she throws him INTO that mountain. Burries him under hundreds of feet of rock. Next time we see Malgus he's more machine than man because he had literally every bone broken and organ damaged in that fight. Yet despite that he not only dug his way out of solid mountain and walked to an Imperial camp. But with every bone in his body broken fought off and killed two Jedi at the same time. Then found medical help and got cybernetic replacements.

From what I recall. White lightsaber is when a corrupted (red) kyber crystal has been purified (as they are "living beings" a Sith pours their emotion and hate into the crystal thus corrupting it). A Yellow saber comes from an old crystal, think plastic when it's been out in the sun for a while. It's basically an "old crystal" from what I recall. Mind you though, Legends canon and Disney canon really change the lore for crystals so it basically sums up to "looks cool" at the end lol.

Other explanation is that around Wild space the amount of Natural green crystals are lacking and that Valkorion didnt want to teach Zakuul the secrets of the red crystal creating. dunno why they use blue tho

I like how if you pay real close attention in the Disorder trailer. During Malgus's brief duel with Sa'har she disarms him with the sheer force of her blows. Malgus grabs her arm and she changes which arm is holding her saber. But in the very briefest of moments between Malgus being disarmed and him grabbing her blade arm he makes eye contact with the Jedi lightsaber he stole as it flies away. Then he looks down at his empty hand and changes tact, grapling Sa'har's blade hand. This micro-detail harkens back to Malgus's tunnel vision from the graphic novels and the fact that he probably hasn't had real feeling in that hand since his duel with Satele all those years ago. For a tiny moment Malgus hadn't even realized he was disarmed.

Correction on the timeline, the events around this game take place closer to 5000 years before the battle of Yavin. Just thought you guys might like to know. This is WAY before Yoda

3600-3700 years before. Knights of the Old Republic (1&2) take place around 4000 years before and SWTOR is around 300 years after the end of KotOR2.

Not liking mouse and keyboard combination isn't good enough to think a game is a crap. The story,the characters, the gameplay and so on , aren't crap just because you can't get used to controls. That being said,it is perfectly fine to stop,playing because you can't get used to controls. Anyway it was first time I used mouse and keyboard for playing in my case as well. Would prefer gamepad,but it was OK I suppose. You join a team,you practice with them if required.

The somehow sad part is that they kinda Established 4-5 Good Written Female Characters (Satele Shan, Shae Viszla, Vaylin, Senya and Sa'harr) all within like 3-4 Minutes each and then there is the Sequel where they couldn't make Rey interesting even after 3 Movies and rather Created one of the most hated Star Wars Characters ever! These Trailers show what is Possible within Star Wars, Star Wars has a universe with several Thousands of Years of Possible Storytelling but for whatever reason Disney refuses to use this Treasure Chest and instead Milks the Skywalker Saga and everyone inside it dry, even though there is Barely anything interesting left to tell for that timeframe!

The Phantom Menace is a horsehshit movie, with a horseshit story and a horseshit plot. The ONLY THING good to come from that film is John Williams' score. The only thing. If you actually grew up with Star Wars, like some of us, the discrepancies between what Lucas wrote and presented in 1977 and what he revised in 1997 and then completely abandoned by 1999 was glaring to all of us who had actually watched those original films when we were kids. KOTOR and Andor are the only two pieces of Star Wars media ancillary to the OG OT that are any good.

I think that the best way to do the old republic is to release several shows from multiple points of view. One from the political side that would include the infamous treaty after the sacking of Coruscant. Two seasons surrounding the jedi one for the more seasoned jedi like the knights and masters and one covering a group of padawan. Two from the veiw of the sith, one could follow members of the dark council and the other a group of acolyts. There could be a smuggler show or a manderlorian show. But these shows could eventually lead to an epic movie where the characters collide.

You said Counselor, smuggler and trooper at the beginning of the first trailer. Satele is not a counseloe, she is a knight. I'm not exactly sure what class Malgus is.

Malgus and that point in game terms is Sith Warrior Juggernaut . By the point of last trailer. (The newest one) he imho transcended in-game classes and is more characterised as to how many lighsabers styles he knows, Because he Deffinetly Mastered Djem, So, Nimam and I bet some other styles too. Also Satele I Would actually view as a consular, a Shadow subclass. since she does use force techniques, advanced ones in combat. and also uses double bladed lightsaber. So by in-game terms she is Consular Shadow. Kao Cen is Defender Knight. Jace Malcom is a Commando Trooper (uses auto-cannon), and Nico is Gunslinger Smuggler (twin pistols)
