This is a brilliant and very quick review of the Old Testament. What's most shocking (but accurate) is the depiction of the fall of Israel and its' people due to disobedience to GOD.
Thank you RiverGlen Christian Church for putting this together, and allowing me to share it.

But David should not be a killer , and Solomon never worshipped other false gods ! These are clear lies about God's prophets
@cw-on-yt
@cw-on-yt 3 жыл бұрын
@@ahmedibraheem2695: Of course David should not be a killer. (But he was. It was a sin.) Of course Solomon should not have worshipped other false gods! (But he did. It was a sin.) Heck, even a semi-literate visionary-wannabe-turned-bandit-warlord from Arabia, armed with a smattering of theological thoughts cribbed from Nestorian Christians, shouldn't have "married" a nine-year-old girl, or taken multiple wives, or stolen the wives of his friends, or taught his followers that rape was their entertaining reward for capturing women and children in battle. (But he did. It was a sin.) Both true prophets, and false ones, are capable of serious sin. One sign of a truthful record of the past is when the faults of even its greater heroes are admitted with full candor. And, one vital duty of any holy book -- indeed, of any moderately-insightful survey of the state of humanity -- is to teach you to face the terrifying sinfulness of your kinfolk...and by extension, your own. Only such a harsh lesson will penetrate the dark self-deception of the human heart with the spear-point of this vital truth: Our self-sufficiency and contented self-approval are a sham; we and all our forebears back to Adam are sinners; and we desperately need a savior. And that's why the Apostle Paul wrote the things he did; e.g., Romans 7:14-25.
@ahmedibraheem2695
@ahmedibraheem2695 3 жыл бұрын
@@cw-on-yt You are talking about men God chose to guide humanity and teach them good things! Also God said about Solomon : ((And Solomon did not disbelieve ! But the evil ones (in his time) have disbelieved)) And for David , God did not mention what sin he did and if if if he was to kill someone it should be a mistake , just like Moses killed the man , he didn't mean to kill him, so maybe David did the same thing and God said about David : ((And David thought that We tested him , so he bowed and returned to God , so We forgave that (sin) for him , and indeed , for him is a nearness to Us and a good place of return.)) God did not really mention what his sin was , but all important is that He forgave David and that he is one of God's prophets.

Bismillah Dont Choose wrong path , we muslim also believe in Jesus as messenger of God , like messenger Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam . THINK ABOUT = > before jesus birth , people follow whom , before prophet jesus people follow prophet of that time like Adam , Moses , Noah , Joseph , Abraham etc . These were the messenger of Allah at their time on earth now last messenger is Muhammad , you should follow Muhammad now. So Jesus Was A Messenger Of Allah 1 ) ACCORDING TO CHRISTIANITY = > when people tryied to torture JESUS and want to beat him and kill him even they were thinking to hang on neils etc etc etc is it a quality of god that any one can beat him and to nail , jail and hang him , torture him. 2) Jesus Eat Food When He Was Hungry is it a quality of god ? ( Hungry God ) if he eat food then also do toilet for pee and poop at that time no toilet seat was there so they used to do that by hidden in grass and back of some trees and stones etc is it a quality of God ? No = > why some people wants to kill Jesus and want to hang on neils ? because Jesus called people towards Allah/God the creator of everything . so the ruler of that time thinking that jesus will destroy our rulings on people and can destroy our kingdom , bcz people wanted to follow of true path of the creator. = > Some people says JESUS DIE FOR OUR SINS This is totally wrong if someone rape your wife , sister , mother and murder your family . Then , will you say , he will be in heaven bcz Jesus died for his sins ? Jesus had ever say that "enjoy your life do whatever you want , kidnap a young girl and rape her and do robbery , do murder etc etc And I want to die for your sin then you will be in heaven , and hang me on Neil etc etc " NO don't make your on thoughts . THIS IS INJUSTICE this is your thought , and this thought is wrong . you should follow muhammad now . = > WE ARE NOT GODS CHILDREN , if we are children then Gods cant make hell fire . and pig, ant , dog , all animals , they will also think we are also son of God . This is not true , we are not son of God Allah says in Quran chapter 2 Ayatul kursi = > " Allah! There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him, the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who could possibly intercede with Him without His permission? He ˹fully˺ knows what is ahead of them and what is behind them, but no one can grasp any of His knowledge-except what He wills ˹to reveal˺. His Seat encompasses the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of both does not tire Him. For He is the Most High, the Greatest.. " BISMILLAH try to understand i want you to not to be blind like others i am not forcing you i want you to take knowledge and make decision QUESTION FROM YOUR SIDE who we are ? we are running , Seeing , Hearing , THINKING ETC 1 ) some people says that we are made by our parents ( mainly mom ) if your mom made you then she should know that 1 ) how many hair in your head ? 2 ) how many and much veins , intestine , heart size , brain veins you have ? ANSWER 1 ) if any mom makes a child then she don't give birth to paralyse , dumb , and gay etc instead of it , she will gives birth to very handsome , smart and best child 2 ) your mom dad didn't make you and even a single hair of yours if you make yourself by your own , can you stop your heart , can you stop hearing , seeng , can you stop breathing , no it shows you are not creator of your self you cant stop from getting old or die RESULT your creator make you from weak little disdained liquid from ( your father mother ) and now we are thinking that we are immortal and enjoying life and forgot that who is our creator WHO ARE Adam , Noah , moses , jesus these are messenger like Last messenger muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam , = > IMPORTANT POINT 1 ->JESUS start talking after birth , jesus made clay bird and from the order of Allah that become original bird , 2 ->Moses have stick when he droped that it becomes a snake from the order of Allah , 3 3 ->NOAH MAKES a ship large ship from the order of Allah. 4 ->Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam split the moon from the order of Allah This is not jesus , moses , noah , Muhammad power , this is the power of creator that is Allah ALLAH is arabic word ISWAR is sanskrit word GOD is English word of creator = > Now ALLAH / GOD send his mesengers and his order ( now last book is quran in which ALLAH'S orders are written) to guide other people . so read Quran and follow right path WHO ARE MESSENGER God / Allah send messages to their messenger so that they tell to the people 2 ) we can't pray to messengers like jesus , Mohammad , adam , moses etc but we should pray to the creator ALLAH /GOD in way as last messenger told us . now last messenger is Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam 3 )ADAM , jesus , moses abraham were messengers of allah before muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam AND ADAM WAS FIRST MAN AND PROPHET Allah is only one God and prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam allah's Last messenger if you follow ALLAH'S ORDER then you will be in Jannah 1 . ) first order ( allah is only one God and prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam allah's last messenger ) 2 . ) second order ( salah / prayer ) according to muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam if you ignore these 5 times prayer then you will be sinful. if you do your own type prayers then this will be rejected bcz you have to follow messenger not created your own and obey Allah then you will be in jannah / heaven inshallah Islam is for everyone not only for Muslim bcz muslim means submit to one creator when you were child then you only submitted to your creator you were muslim = > it doesn't not matter who you are now . search my channel i added some quran chapter of prophets like noah etc check it plz so plz read learn quran ( message from god ) quran is as it is word of God what will happen after death with you ? if you obey allah's order or disobey. your whole life depend on what you choose bcz ALLAH the creator will ask you about this life after this life . and you can check my playlist full quran Check links about what is islam and who is ALLAH so plz minimum one time read Quran , it is a word of god , i promise you will know everything that you want.....,.,..,,...... .. .,,..

This video also demonstrated that sheer and utmost sincere repentance in the sight of God is accepted of God. Original sin my ass. God wants you to strive in his way and if you sincerely repent and do that which is lawful and right after the sin commited you shall be in the kingdom of heaven. Heres a passage from the bible supporting this. The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son (the progeny of Adam) shall not bear the iniquity of the father (Adam), neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die." Ezekiel 18:20-21

I think it’s important to pick and choose the things that stay when you makes summaries. Like, Cain and Abel are unimportant to the whole overarching theme of the Old Testament. Just like how the dragon is unimportant to a summary of Shrek. But a small weird detail that helps with explaining a character is usefully and it’s more engaging than just saying “they did miracles”. Like people who add jokes to long explanations or lectures

Seems that most people that watched this are stumped by _where the Egyptians came from_ . The video starts with Abram after the flood, but doesn't mention that Abraham was born almost _300 years_ after the flood, and then there was _another 300 years_ before Jacob moved to Egypt. THEN there was _400 years_ until the Egyptians began to worry about the population of the Hebrews in their country. Don't you think that in *600 years,* a people separate from the Hebrews (the Egyptians) could rise from the offspring of Noah and have created a massive kingdom? I mean, the United States is only 230 years old! The Egyptians had _570 more years_ than that to rise. Come on, people. Keep up.

adamthestimator the USA had 37 million immigrants for a span of 500 years Egypt are decedent from 6 in a spam of 600 the fastest growing a population has ever been keep in mind with all of the technology and modern medicine of the 20th century was to double every 35 years in some African countries. So 600/35 is 17. 6^2 is 36. 36x 35 is 1260 people wow dude your a genius Let's say that as you said they are all decedents of ham so 1/3 of 1260 is 420 but we have to count in all the dead people because it's been 600 years so let's say 50 years is the average life span so 70 people made up the cities of Thebes and Memphis and the whole continent of Africa you are the biggest genius the world has ever seen.

Franco Giobbi if we're just talking numbers.....twins, triplets, incest, child bearing at very early ages as that's just how it was and settled travelers as.....well, of course. That's how settlements work. And while they may not have been in the millions as equal to modern day America, it's very plausible that a kingdom of a substantial size was created. THAT'S if we're just estimating. I choose not to put any stock into that bible. It's a book of short stories and songs from a time that needed it's guidance. Nothing more

+Franco Giobbi You did your math wrong. Starting with a population of 6 and doubling 17 times would give a population of 6*2^17=786432 people. And, lifespan is already considered by the doubling. According to the Bible, it would seem that the average lifespan was longer than today. Combining that with how many more children people had, the doubling time was likely even less than 35 years. It's like you don't know anything. How old are you???

Junk Mail about the math you're right am sorry I don't know what I was thinking but yes people had more kids at that time but most of them would not even reach adult hood like 14 years old to have kids and yes some people would live up to 900 years according to the Bible but let's be honest if that was the case every civilization of that time would be recording that in there scripts but nah that wasn't case. Still a whole empire with well 6*2^17 divided by 18 if we account it was a third of the people as they were part of ham and 1/6 because most were dead that's around 44000 people in the whole of Africa? Really

@@covid-19ultrapromax25 We respect your book and prophet, you may believe that book from arab peninsula as long as you wish. But if you read the Torah and Gospel carefully you will know that the Messiah has come and the prophecy has been fulfilled. Read the Torah carefully and you will realize that your prophet has no characteristics of Messiah at all, and read the Gospel carefully so you will realize that his book teaches something else that isn't from God. That prophet from arab learnt from the previous books which is Torah and Gospel, and create his own ideals, which turn into a teaching, a new base for a new religion. The prophet will say that it is the same one God that has given his knowledge. And he will use God to unite his own people and conquer the others for their own, they will "civilize" their conquered people with their religion that fit to that prophet's view of God. The arab prophet will try, and he will succeed, even more than that. For the Son of Man has said, that there will be a time when people will reject Him, He who has come from Heaven, and those who believe in His name. And when that time comes, know that the End of Days is near, the day when The Son of Man will judge all man on earth. Luke 21:11-19 There will be great earthquakes, and famines and plagues in various places, and there will be terrifying sights and great signs from heaven. But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you, handing you over to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and governors because of my name. This will be a time for you to serve as witnesses. Therefore be resolved not to rehearse ahead of time how to make your defense. For I will give you the words along with the wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict. You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends, and they will have some of you put to death. You will be hated by everyone because of my name. THE TRUE STORY regarding PALESTINE -Palestine is the land of the Prophets. -Jews have no rights in Palestine -Palestine is for Palestinians -Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine -There is no country of Israel Some of the Prophets who lived in Palestine are: Ibrahim (Abraham) Lot Ishmael Ishaq (Isaac) Ya'qoob (Jacob) Yusuf (Joseph) Daud (David) Solomon Zakariyyah (Zachariah) Yahya (John) {May the peace and blessing of Allah be upon them) Ibrahim(Abraham) has two sons: 1. Ismael 2. Isaac Isaac's son was Jacob(Ya'qoob) where most of the Prophets came from his lineage such as Yusuf(Joseph),Daud(David),Sulaiman(Solomon),Zakariyyah(Zacarias),Musa(Moses) and Yahya (John). The second name of Prophet Ya'qoob(Jacob) is ISRAEL so his clans are called BANU ISRAEL(Son's of Israel). Also, accordingly, ISRAEL means Abdullah (servant of Allah). But the tribe of Israel has been known for disobedience and stubbornness where they oppose and kill their own Prophets sent to them except for a small number them, this is how the Quran describes them. Among their disobedience are: -They disobeyed Prophet Solaiman (Solomon) -They disobeyed Prophet Musa (Moses) -They disobeyed Prophet Eisa (Jesus) -They killed Prophet Yahya (John) -They killed Prophet Zacariah (Zacarias). THAT'S WHY ALLAH PUNISHED THEM. THEIR PUNISHMENT IS THAT, THEY WOULD HAVE NO LAND IN THIS WORLD EXCEPT THOSE WHO BELIEVE. What happened to them for several centuries is that wherever they ended up in the middle east after the time of Prophet Eisa (Jesus), others went to Europe and America. In World War II between the years 1941 and 1945 the Holocaust occurred where nearly 6 million Jews died in Europe at the hands of Adolf Hitler of Germany. The reason for Adolf Hitler's great anger towards the Jews is about politics and religion where the Jews believe that people who do not belong to them are animals or the lowest creatures, because they believe that they are the chosen people who chosen by Allah, so Hitler did this to them. They only got land in Palestine because GREAT BRITAIN took pity on them where it was recommended to the UNITED NATIONS and the UN immediately received it in the year 1947, because the Jews also served for a long time in Great Britain. In the following year (1948) the Zionist Jews immediately declared their own country in Palestine which they called ISRAEL where it seemed as if they only arrived in Palestine as refugees until they gradually expanded their land to conquer in the lands of the Palestinians in a violent and forced way, at the same time they gathered all the Jews around the world where before they would have been scattered because of the punishment of Allah. This is where the Arab countries intervened and there was a war that has not ended until now between the JEWS and the ARABS. Apart from this conflict, the Jews also do not respect the Arabs because they believe that they are the only believers, so they did not believe in Prophet Muhammad SAW and it was easy for them to kill Arab Muslims. Why? Prophet Ismael, the brother of Prophet Isaac, is the son of Hajar, the second wife of Prophet Ibrahim, who used to be the maid of Sarah, who was the mother of Prophet Isaac, the first wife of Prophet Ibrahim (according to their history). And after the reign of the clans of Isaac in which the last Prophet among them was Prophet Eisa (Jesus), Allah gave this promise to the clan of Prophet Ismael where the last prophet and Messenger would come from his clan. Prophet Muhammad SAW. Because the last Prophet did not come from the family of Isaac, the Jews did not believe, believing that Prophet Ismael was inferior compared to their ancestor, Prophet Isaac, the son of Prophet Ibrahim's first wife, besides that, they really are people who disobeys, even to the early Prophets. In other words, the ongoing conflict between Jews and Arab Muslims is about religion and history. Palestine is a place of Arab Muslims, and the believers in the clans of Israel, it does not include those who disobey, they are not among in the promise of Allah. There are three existing religions in Palestine: 1. Judaism 2. Christianity 3. Islam WHY ARE THE CHRISTIANS IN PALESTINE NOT INCLUDED IN THE ENEMY OF THE PALESTINIAN MUSLIMS? Christians are not like Jews, where Jews are worse but they are the same race, Jews also consider Christians as enemies because they did not really believe in Prophet Eisa (Jesus), they are the ones who accused Mary committing adultery (Zina) and Prophet Eisa (Jesus) was a child of zina (adultery), so a great miracle happened from Allah where Prophet Eisa spoke when he was a baby to refute what the Jews were saying and prove the innocence of his mother. WHY DO THEY WANT TO TAKE JERUSALEM WHERE MASJID AL-AQSA IS LOCATED? They believe that here is the very temple of Prophet Solaiman that was destroyed and replaced by masjeds, so this is what they want to restore from its original, but if you go back to history and the books you will not find any solid evidence about the temple that they claim. Rather, the Masjid Al-aqsa is the one that was built by Prophet Adam and rebuilt by Prophet Solaiman. And they have no right to it because they also disobeyed Prophet Solaiman as we mentioned.

Bjarki Rafn - I'm commenting this using my phone so please don't crucify me. From the time of the flood to Jacob ( Israel ) is about 450 years. Before Jacob there was the Tower of Babel. Everyone was decendant of Noah's family and all spoke one language. They built the tower to blaspheme God. God destroyed the tower and changed their languages and their races. He did this so that they would scatter. They all scattered and some became Egyptians. I would give more details but this is on my phone so I'm not. You can look thus up for yourself if you really want to know. The Bible is True and God is real and you've sinned against him. Please repent and ask him to save you. Where in scripture did Moses do this? I am well aware that he led attacks on the Amalekites, Moabites, etc. However, I did not find the part where it was implied to be a genocide. Matter of fact, I think it was warfare. Also, let's not pretend that the civilizations Moses and the Israelites attacked were innocent. From what I know about what both the Bible and basic ancient history say about them, those civilizations were incredibly barbaric and immoral, so waging war on them was pretty justified. One more thing: I do not want this comment to start a flame war, where no one really learns anything and we just get angrier at each other. With that said, if I said anything that might sound condescending or rude, please let me know. I just want to have a reasonable discussion. That's all I ask. ☮️

@nicolechristine5820 3 жыл бұрын
@@TheGaberGuy Hi, Gabriel! Answering your question, the genocide I think they meant is the one at Exodus 32, right after Moses came down with the Ten Commandments. The people were worshiping the Golden Idol (I don't know what is the name of it in English, I've only read the Bible in my mother language, Portuguese) and God said he was gonna destroy all of them and make of Moses a new nation; Moses asked God not to, and He (as always) showed mercy. However, Moses himself got so furious when he saw the situation that he assembled the remaining faithful and ordered them to kill all of the idol worshippers. The Bible says three thousand men died that day, not to mention women. Three thousand is quite a high number, so I think it can be considered a sort of genocide. Whether it was fair or not, I cannot judge. Things were a lot different at that time. It certainly shocked me a bit when I first read it, and I kept wondering if it was really necessary, but, well, again, things were a lot different at that context. Hope I could answer your question, and sorry for any mistakes in my English :)
@TheGaberGuy
@TheGaberGuy 3 жыл бұрын
@@nicolechristine5820 Hi Nicole! First of all, thank you for replying! It really means a lot to me. Your English is perfectly fine. I only found a couple small errors, and most English speaking people would probably not even notice. Keep up the good work👍 As to what you were saying, we should not think of any human person in the Bible as a perfect being (except Jesus, of course), and as such, we should not defend each and every action that they took. This applies to Moses in this scenario. The Israelites were already punished (when Moses made them drink water with the Gold of the idol they worshipped in it), and probably should have left it there. However, him ordering the death of 3,000 was really harsh. In my opinion, this might be foreshadowing his punishment later by showing his unchecked temper, which resulted in him not being allowed to enter Canaan (Numbers 20 and Deuteronomy 1:37). Nevertheless, if we are to criticize Moses's actions, we need to do it right. Moses, despite ordering death to 3,000, did NOT commit genocide. The Google definition of genocide is "the deliberate killing of people from a particular nation or ethnic group WITH THE AIM OF DESTROYING THAT GROUP." Obviously, Moses was not trying to destroy the entire group of Israel, because he literally JUST saved them from God's wrath. This was merely a case of capital punishment that went too far. Israel was punished for worshipping the idol, and though it is not explicitly stated, there were probably a lot of other immoral things that they were doing. Before we wrap up, I do want to preface that even though we should be critical of Moses in the Bible, we should still respect him for his leadership as a whole. The later Biblical authors were not ignorant of Moses's imperfections, but they still respected him for what he managed to accomplish in the long term. It is similar to how Christopher Columbus was an immoral figure overall, but he still should be respected for discovering the Americas to the vast majority of the eastern world. That is all I'm saying about that, as I am not a political guy, but I hope you're understanding what I'm talking about. In conclusion, Moses's temper got the better of him, and went too far with capital punishment. However, while he was not completely in the right, he was not genocidal in this story. I hope this clears some stuff up. Let me know your thoughts on my response. I admit, I am quite a rambler, and I don't always have the best answer to everything.😅 However, if I appear immoral or condescending in any way, please let me know, and I will try to fix it. Thank you for reading!👍 P.S. The idol that Israel worshipped was called the Golden Calf. You asked about that, so I figured that I should answer that.

Stories created by humans don't do what Christianity has done and continues to do. Speaking of stories created by humans to explain something they don't understand: I am pretty sure the supposed "all-powerful and evil vs. good but not powerful" objection to the Christian God is exactly that. Supposing that any kind of God exists and created us the way we are, it's kind of unreasonable for me to believe that God is evil because he didn't make me perfect on my own. Is it not good enough to approach perfection through a relationship with God, where he freely helps us with that? Demanding perfection apart from God is perhaps just a bit selfish.
@roneyandrade6287
@roneyandrade6287 2 жыл бұрын
My interpretation of God is that he's a jerk and not all powerful. We're are all the products of jerks (our parents) who selfishly bring kids into this world because they want to be loved and to love as much as possible. If God's the most powerful being that there could be there's still limitations like logical impossibilities and to me one of those impossible things is creat free will and maximum happiness. Even so I try to forgive God for that just like I hope others (and me) forgive me for my mistakes, that's of course not to say I'll try to repeat my mistakes. Wherever there's ana afterlife or not I don't think it would be perfect so I'll live my life as the only one there is (because it's veey very likely that it is) and that involves forgiveness (to a healthy extent) trying to do good, trying to not be selfish and other stuff. Of course my interpretation of God is unorthodox some might even call it an ex agnostic cope into trying to live life with not so much pain because of so many mistakes and wrong doings he already made in life. It also isn't even original and people smarter than us already pseudo prove it wrong but nonetheless I feel much more content now. I don't wake up everyday desiring to stop existing and my life is going better. I'm not trying to force it on anyone (even though I recommended it to friends who are scientists) or follow bigoted opinions. So can we recognize that religion can be good, what if it's just a "bad" cope? Or someone's delusions and even if they are so what? Do you really think you're the sole arbitrary of what is or isn't? That everyone who just accepts this world for what it is it's weak that I'm oh so superior because I can take it and you can't. Well what if you are? I'm telling you that even if I understand all those arguments and my own almost certain wrongness this way of thinking and living is the one that actually makes me not feel pain and also will probably make me act and think as a better person. To some, including me, it has been nothing short of a miracle. I tried tried for many years accepting myself and I couldn't until I learned to forgive myself through God or (through myself to non religious) but I also forgave God and or the idea of God and I'm no longer in constant pain so I respect and almost I'll say love God for that even if he were to be not perfect. No actually I'll say I love God for giving this miracle into my life because I thought I'll never ever not feel pain just because of the extreme guilt of feeling things I shouldn't things almost no one in this world could understand or forgive. I also legitimately have hope of being better that's not just platitudes I actually believe them and feel them so I am glad.

Also, the chosen people, in scriptural context meant that they received the fullness of God’s teachings, not that they were somehow great or in with God or something. The Old Testament makes it abundantly clear that the people of Israel were not following God’s teachings and they faced the consequences many a times over for it.

If Jesus is God how did "God" came out of a woman private part, you can't be half God half human and can't be your own son and your own father that makes no sense. You also don't need to die to forgive if you are the most merciful you would just forgive if they feel regret and ask for forgiveness and if Jesus already died that means i can do whatever i want he already died for my sin. If we look at Genesis 6:6 It says that God regretted creating humans, and if you look at the verses before and after you will see he regretted creating humans because of their behavior. That means he made a mistake and didn't know humans going to sin, how could God make a mistake and don't know something while he is all knowing. May Allah open your hearts, guide you and bless your life. The evidence is clear you can do research to see it yourself the quran explained everything before science did.

@drewangeles3225 2 жыл бұрын
@Down Scope You're not wrong. It's true. God loves everyone, even murderers, who really surrendered their lives to God and turned their backs from their evil ways. But I think the key to understanding this is that we're all equally sinful in God's eyes. No one is "less" sinful, no one is "more" sinful. It's just sinful. You sin, you're sinful. So a liar, is just as sinful as a murderer. Which is why none of us are worthy of entering heaven because heaven is a place where only holy (i.e 100% sinless) is permitted. But God can't stomach the idea of being in heaven without His children. He wants us so badly to be with Him so He sent Jesus, our big brother, to take the punishment that was meant for us and our sins. And when anyone puts their faith in Jesus, turns away from their old lives and starts a new one that's dedicated to living for Him, that person's sins (both past sins and future ones that haven't been committed yet) are automatically erased, making him or her 100% sinless and free of guilt; the requirement of which one is able to enter heaven. So even if you were a murderer, if you truly turn away from your old life and start a changed one, one that's fully devoted to loving and serving Jesus, then you can be sure you are entering heaven. No one can judge you or tell you otherwise. It's not about what we did or didn't do, it's about the heart. God looks through the heart, not works. (One last important note: If a person is a really a true believer, it will be evidenced by his or her changed life. A murderer who claims to have surrendered his or her life to Jesus yet continues to murder is not at all a true believer😅. He or she is lying) I hope this helps even just a little, friend. Hope you're havin' a fine day and I pray it gets better and better!✨🤗💝

But all the girls who have not known man intimately, spare for yourselves.“ Leviticus 20:13 “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.“ Luke 19:27 "But as for these enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them-bring them here and slaughter them in my presence." Deuteronomy 25:11-12 “When men fight with one another, and the wife of the one draws near to rescue her husband from the hand of him who is beating him, and puts out her hand and seizes him by the private parts, then you shall cut off her hand. Show her no pity.“ 2 Kings 2:23-25 “Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some young boys came out of the town and jeered at him. "Get out of here, baldy!" they said. "Get out of here, baldy!" He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys (children).“ You should be terrified if god was really the author of the bible. 1 Samuel 15:3-4 God orders to kill a group of people and their infants and animals for a sin that was commited by their forefathers who died 400 years before.. There are countless more btw.. WOMEN IN THE BIBLE: 1 Corinthians 14:34 The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. Genesis 3:16 To the woman he said, “I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you.” (seems just) 1 Timothy 2:11-12 "Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet." 1 Corinthians 11:3-10 "But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God. Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head, but every wife who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, since it is the same as if her head were shaven. For if a wife will not cover her head, then she should cut her hair short. But since it is disgraceful for a wife to cut off her hair or shave her head, let her cover her head. For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God, but woman is the glory of man." Genesis 2:18-22 women were created purely to keep men company and serve their needs as "helpers".

pan_duh no problem. Matthew 24:4-5, 11, 23-27. Mark 13:5-6 Luke 21:8 Now, to be clear, I am addressing your statement that Muslims believe Mohammed fulfilled prophecy. The bible foretells of the coming of Christ aka the Messiah aka the savior, who is more than a prophet. When his end is near he warns that there will be many false prophets and people claiming to be Christ, and to take care not to be deceived. Therefore, there has not been anyone like Jesus or the prophets of his ancestry since his ascension, but many have claimed to be so for their own gain and leading people away from the truth. Jesus said He sent the Holy Ghost in his place as our comforter... meaning there was only him and no one else ever like him. If you notice, even his apostles, who were granted power through him, were not referred to as prophets. The great prophets were few and literally far between. Prophets are people who God chooses to speak through and minister. So, in a different context, you are right. Read Matthew 23:34. Prophets do still exist, but true prophets, who speak only God's truth are not popular, but quite the opposite because of the time we are living in. People don't want to hear the truth, they want to hear what suits their agendas or makes them comfortable, and there are many false prophets (profits) who are willing to get rich doing the job, just as in ancient times with the temples of false gods. There will be one more who will gather Israel before the second coming. But again, we have to exercise caution in who we follow, and know the bible thoroughly to keep from falling into a trap.

After reading the comments i noticed a lot of scepticism because of the honest question "where did the egyptians come from." I did some quick math on the descendants of noahs three sons. If each son reproduced with his wife and had 10 kids and every 20 years another generation was born, in 100 years 468,750 people would be walking the earth. It would stand to reason in a couple hundred years large groups of people would exist throughout the earth as they continue to spread out. I would gestimate it was over a thousand years before the hebrews were enslaved by the egyptians. Both being descendants of noah. As you read the old testament you notice many of these clans warred with each other. Not really a bizarre concept when you consider american history where brother fought against brother in the american revolution.

Saul: "Yeah, whatevs." Samuel: "...and now I'm going to anoint you, and God's Holy Spirit will come upon you to empower you for your duties... (pours oil)..." Saul: "What the heck? I just danced in a crowd of charismatic prophets all day, what the heck's in that oil?" Onlookers: "Whoa, if even Saul can get religion...?" (time passes) Generals: "We're at risk of losing battles with Philistines." Saul: "Well, crap, I'm not sure what else to do. I know...why don't we try that religion thing? It'll get the troops revved up, maybe they'll fight harder." Generals: "Uh...that religion thing?" Saul: "Sure, we're waiting on that Samuel dude to show up and do the sacrifice mumbo-jumbo, right?" Generals: "..." Saul: "Who needs him? I'll take care of it and we'll open up a can of whoop..." Generals: "You sure you know how to do that, sire?" Saul: "...Oh God, you are so biggety-big, and all that... (cuts throat of a cow) ...Hey guys, make sure the troops can see so they get properly revved up!" Samuel: (arrives) Generals: (look sidelong at one another) Samuel: "So, Saul, haven't seen ya' at the Tabernacle recently...like, for the last few years. Whatcha up to, here? And what's with the animals?" (time passes) Saul: "Well, ever since that debacle with the Who Gets To Be The Priest thingy, we keep getting our butts handed to us, and now the bad guys have a guy that's nine feet tall. Thoughts? Ideas? Anyone?" Generals: "..." Messenger: "Sire, the Philistine champion would like to challenge either you, or anyone in your army, to a duel. He also says none of you have any testicles, and you all try to bum-punch one another but are too flaccid to do it, and his god is better than your god, and his god bends your god over a barrel nightly, and your god likes it." Saul: "How tall is he again?" Generals: "Nine feet sir." Saul: "..." 2nd Lieutenant: "Sire, there's a kid here who is pissed off because of what the Philistine said about God. He says he's so pissed he wants to fight the duel. He says he killed a lion that tried to kill a sheep he was shepherding, and anyway God will protect him, and, y'know, a bunch of religious stuff." Saul: (sighs) "Zealots. All I need. Sure, whatever, give him my armor, maybe it'll fool ...someone..." Armorer: "Too big for him, sire. Too tall...and, um, too broad around the midsection, sire." David: "Never mind. I'm fine like this." (time passes) David: (cuts off Goliath's head, keeps his sword) People: "David kills Philistines by the tens of thousands! ...oh, and Saul kills some, too...." (time passes) ...CONTINUED IN PART TWO...

THE REAL STORY, PART TWO (continued): Saul: (acts demon-possessed) David: (plays harp to soothe Saul) Saul: (tries to pin David to the nearest wall with a spear) David: "What the Sheol?" Saul: "Uh, sorry about that. Let's be friends." (time passes) Jonathan: "Dad, I think David's actually a good guy, you shouldn't treat him so badly." Saul: "Oh, great, first the people like him better than me, and now my own son wants to be his butt-monkey." (Jonathan walks out, finds David) Jonathan: "You're right, sorry dude, my dad's probably going to try to have you whacked." David: "Thanks, man, wish it wasn't this way, but I need to motor before I become a kebab." (Saul sends army after David, joins them in the hunt) Saul: "Hey, guys, I'm going to take a leak in this cave here, maybe catch a snooze." David: "Is he coming into THIS cave?" David's men: "Kill him now!" David: "No. Look, God put him over us as king. He's the anointed one. Not going to murder him, even if he sucks." (time passes) Philistines: "Yay, we just killed Jonathan and Saul!" Messenger: "Hey, David, your enemy Saul is dead. Actually, I helped kill him. But it's cool, he knew he was going to be captured. He...uh, he asked me to do it. Yeah...." David: "Didn't you know not to kill the Lord's anointed?" (kills messenger, launches proverbial saying) (time passes) ...CONTINUED IN PART THREE...

THE REAL STORY, PART THREE: People: "Saul's dead. Jonathan's dead. You can be our king, David!" David: "Okay, but this is no violent coup. If there are any of Saul's household still alive, treat them decently. Where's the Ark of the Covenant?" Random guy: "Oh, Saul, like, didn't bother with it much when it didn't give him automagical victory in battle. It's, like, at some guy's house." David: "Let's worship God together in the capitol city, with the Ark, like, right there! It'll be awesome!" Uzzah: (puts Ark on a cart instead of getting Levites to carry it properly, grabs it when it starts to slide off) God: "Crap, they're never going to get the point if I'm not consistent about My own rules." (Sighs, zaps Uzzah dead.) David: (freezes up, eyes wide ...takes months to think and read about how to deal respectfully with anything related to God) Michael, daughter of Saul, David's wife: "Are you still into that religion thing? Or are you over that?" David: "It's not a religion-thing. God is good. He made everything, he's the source of all good, all blessings are from Him. I'm just trying to learn how to love and worship Him rightly." Michael: "Whatevs." (Files fingernails.) David: (deep breath) "Okay, let's try to bring the Ark into the city again, but this time, we follow all the rules, nothing casual, everything reverent. It's not a mechanical thing that 'works'; it's about showing that we love Him." Levites: (carry Ark into Jerusalem) God: "Now you're getting it, kid." David: (gets really into the worship-service, dances in front of the Ark in a priestly garment) Michael: "WTF, David, you look like a yokel. Like some foot-washin' charismatic with one tooth and a jug. Named Cleetus. You're the king now, don't you get it? All that religion stuff is to fool the masses, to keep 'em happy. You're not supposed to actually, you know, really believe it. You're such a tool." David: "Sorry you feel that way. I love God. I hope He loves me. And if I look less-than-dignified about it, fine." Michael: (lives the rest of her life with no conjugal visits from the king) (time passes) David: "Here I have a palace with a jacuzzi and great Wi-Fi, and the Ark of the Lord is still in the same portable tent we used during the Exodus. That seems...backwards." Nathan the Prophet: "God is with you; whatever you have in mind, go for it." David: "I know, I'll build God a HOUSE! But, like, better than my palace. He's the real king anyway, and I'm just His appointed shepherd-for-the-people. We'll take the blueprints for the Tabernacle, and amp them up a hundred times, with, like, gold and jewels...." God: "Dude, I love you man. You're my kind of guy. But, listen, I have a different plan. Your son will do the whole House of God thing, not you. I have reasons. But, in the meantime...listen, it's a generous thought, and I want to reward it. You wanted to make me a 'house?' Dude, I'm going to make you a HOUSE, like, as in a DYNASTY, the House of David. And your House will govern My people...well, here's a secret: One day there'll be a descendant of yours who'll take the throne and then keep it, forever...and when that happens, He won't just be governing the Israelites, but all the nations of the earth will pay Him tribute, forever. So in a certain sense, your 'house' will be the one royal line in all the earth that'll never fail." David: (speechless) (time passes) ....CONTINUED IN PART FOUR....

THE REAL STORY, PART FOUR: Generals: "Sire, all our enemies are on the run. The army's in the field, when will you be joining us?" David: (stretches) "I dunno, it's so comfortable here, I think you guys can handle it this spring. I'm just going to hang out here for a change." Bathsheba: (bathes and does naked yoga on the roof of her house, just below the king's palace window) David: "What the...?" (goggles, looks, glances over shoulder, looks again) Bathsheba: "THAT oughta do it...." Messenger: "Ma'am, the king would like to grant you a private audience." Bathsheba: "Here are my bags, y'mind carrying these?" (time passes) Bathsheba: "My lord NBA All-Star...no, wait, sorry, I mean, my lord king, I'm pregnant, and I'm sure it's yours." David: (panics) "Um, sleep with your husband! Like, a lot!" Bathsheba's husband: "I'm too loyal to my king, the awesome David who I think is like, the best king ever, so as long as I'm on duty, I'll sleep with the army, rather than at home." David: (sweating bullets) "Send me Bathsheba's husband's commanding officer." (time passes) Bathsheba's husband: (fighting) "Hey, comrades, we've got 'em on the run! Let's...guys? Where're you going? Guys?" (time passes) Messenger: "Sire, the husband of that chick who's been hanging 'round the palace is toast. Thought you'd want to know." Nathan the Prophet: (makes complex abstruse analogy) David: (outraged by complex abstruse analogy) Nathan: "Don't even. It's about YOU, you lyin' ass dawg." David: (breaks down in remorse, writes Psalm 51) God: "I'll forgive, but it'll cost you. I'll still keep my promise about your 'house," but for the foreseeable future, your 'house' will be filled with death and bloodshed." (time passes, David loses multiple sons, grows old, grows weak, but spends rest of his days writing songs about God's justice, mercy, and righteousness) Doctors: "The king is old. We don't expect him to live much longer." David: "Solomon, when you become king after me, promise to be faithful to God, and to build His house." Solomon: "Okay, Dad. I hope I'm smart enough not to mess it up...." Doctors: "The king is shivering. Let's get some hot chick to sleep naked with him, keep him cozy." David: (appreciates the warmth, but doesn't touch her) God: "You started well, and sought to know Me. You did evil, but you repented. You treated me like a Person to love, not a gimmick to fool the rabble. And you finished faithfully, with integrity and purity-of-heart. Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into your Master's house, with favor." HERE ENDETH THE LESSON.

I think that sums it up well enough... and neutral as well. The debatable stuff isn't very debatable. The Bible is *R* rated with some *X* rated material and a ton of absurdity level violence. Makes Vikings seem all "warm and fuzzy" type violence,genocidal raping and pillaging.

@@JPmax4ever That doesn't make any sense. A person doesn't have to experience bad in order to know that wouldn't be good.

@@williamowings6857 well look at Adam and Eve. They were “innocent” but didn’t know they were, only after the apple was eaten when they felt guilty did they know what innocence was. It’s like a yin-yang (a worldly symbol I know) you can’t have yes without no, nor up without down etc.
