Except nearly all of these so-called "prophecies" are either complete fabrications of the authors of Matthew/Luke, who copied from the earlier Mark and made shit up so as to make it seem like Jesus fulfilled more prophecies, or complete misinterpretations of the old testament passages. Isaiah 53, for example, is evidently referring to a person in the near future to the time that it was written, who would save Israel from Babylon, or as a metaphor for the nation of Israel as a whole.

Book 2 is in progress... We've been writing it for the past 2000 years. And all the corruption and violence of the church in that time (sexual abuse and inquisitions) will be shown in the same light as the rebellious generations of Israel. Meanwhile, those few who truly embodied God's goodness will be recognised and praised, even if they only did what was in their small power within their immediate community. The question is... do you want to be a part of that?
@oldtimelogic Жыл бұрын
@@2chvdded2care Where did you get another 20 books from? God inspired 66 books. The apocrypha contradicts the other 66 books. So where does the other 13 you counted come from? I heard some other person try to include weird books like that book of Adam and Eve which is fan-fiction. I know that it is because in chapter 3 it tries to make a prophecy, which has the literary value of a 5th grader's story essay. Example: A day cannot be anything but a period of 24 units of time as in a single day, and that book used a day like Daniel uses a week in prophecy. Which is not equal. Daniel uses a week as a measure of 7 units of time (years). Which is pre-established in Genesis when Jacob works for Laban to marry his daughters. (Genesis 29:28a) God or Moses narrates that "And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week:..." Which the book of Adam and Eve tries using the measure of a day in its 3rd chapter, claiming that the "Word" will redeem Adam and Eve in 5 and half days, which according to its own flawed symbolism and math reveals immediately that it actually means 5,500 years. Which actually sounds dumb the way its revealed. So if the other 13 books you're counting include that one, and 12 other fan-fictions. You're just... I don't know what to even say.

@@mobcrusher99Keep in mind that because of the bible being both human and divine in nature, it is to be expexted that some things are hard to understand, not clear, or difficult to accept as they are presented. But I try not to base my faith on how much sense things make to me, and more about what God is trying to say. It is only natural that us, fleshy and messy humans, are not capable of understanding or believing things that come from the divine, due to the sheer inmensity of the gap that exists between both. However, if you focus on Jesus, things come together, because he is the bridge between divine and flesh.

@@mobcrusher99I used to be a hardcore materialistic atheist that couldn't even consider the idea of anything religious or metaphysic being true. I used to think it was all fairytales for weak people. But one day the holy spirit called on me, and it encouraged me to try and understand reality through him. It's still hard though, and some days faith is stronger than others. But the light from Jesus is always there, telling us there's more than what we can see. I pray for you.

Bro, the lore is more entertaining than anything Disney has made in the last two years. And it also describes what is basically the events of adventure time and then everything is amazing after that.

i mean thousands of years of lore should surely be more entertaining than a disney movie

More people should read the whole bible in order. The whole thing. Then we wouldn't have as many christians. Because only a legit psychopath would read about what Yaweh does in the old testament and think "this is a benevolent being".

I turned into an atheist after realizing how childish the Bible was and how i was praying everyday with nothing happening. I tried my best to make my prayers come true but they never did, so i stopped thinking about the Christian god. Now, i live more happily and i am always aware of reality

@@goobersmithsI see what you’re saying, but it seems like you were relying on your own strength and power. “Surrender” is a major thing in Christianity, you said you “tried your best to make your prayers come true but they never did--“ but if you were praying to God yet trying to answer your own prayers then you were never really asking HIM for anything because you would try to answer them yourself. You didn’t give Him room to work.
