It all makes so much sense. It's all based on a true story; the guy we see in the field is Julian Reverchon, a botanist. You can see in the video, a guy is making a sculpture out of cardboard and adding flowers to it - that's Kevin Obregon. In 2012, Kevin Obregon created a hideous statue in honour of Julian Reverchon and that statue was placed in The Valley View Mall. The mall was known for moving the creepy stature around on its wheels in the mall. A while ago, the mall closed down and was abandoned. The statue is still in that abandoned mall. In the following videos, the guy who's recording finds stairs in a field (the same field that Reverchon is in this video I'm assuming). The stairs lead to an abandoned mall which is a copy of the real Valley View Mall and you can see the construction plans for the mall in that video.

If I recall, I think the Giant was left alone all the way up to the demolition of Valley View. I'd be a little upset too if I had spent years trying to enlighten people as art only to be called creepy & ultimately left alone forgotten - demolished.

The sad, swollen eyes of the mask are reflect the internal struggle of the protagonist, feelings he cannot or will not outwardly express without some sort of vehicle - the mask - to deliver his internal struggle to the outside world. In short, the main character is going mad inside and is going to do crazy things wearing the eventual mask made from this design, that’s my take.

SPOILER ALLERT IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED TO PART 3! So many questions. Here are some things I've noticed here and have like NO idea what they mean but maybe someone else can figure it out. There are quite a number of things that I'm having a hard time telling if they are just cinematography or intentional story telling decisions. - At the beginning half every color EXCEPT green has been removed. This is also repeated at the end of Part 3 - The flower being picked at the beginning appears on the page at 3:00. This would seem to indicate that the man at the beginning is the same one crafting the mask. - The man sketching could have possibly seen something that made him draw and craft that mask. Additionally the shot at 1:18 feels like a POV shot of something watching him. - 1:41 there is clear audible thunder. I think this is somehow important because there is clear and audible thunder in Part 3 at 43:30 where the filming guy says "WHAT DO YOU WANT!?" and there is a flash thunder just like this and you see what appears to be 2 dead horses and 2 dead men laying on the ground for a second. I also think there are more times where you hear faint thunder and it becomes louder and louder the more "amped up" the rolling giant becomes like at 42:40. (side note there is the term rolling thunder) May not mean anything not really sure. The thunder persists even further when they show our cameraman dead at the end of part 3. - Vegetation also seems to be very very important somehow. The Mall in part 3 becomes overgrown with vegetation. There is a heavy emphasis on the color green which is the color of plants. - I also feel like there is some symbolism of death here and being buried. Part 2 being called "Beneath the Earth" makes me think that this is supposed to symbolize death somehow and our main characters fight for life in part 2 & 3 were somehow not real or in his head. - I also wonder what this is called "The oldest View" The titles of the other 2 videos seem pretty self explanatory but this makes me feel like this has something to do with the first time The Rolling Giant was seen. - I did some very basic research and as far as I can tell this mall also appears to have been real. From the pictures I can find this is an EXTREMELY faithful recreation of it or actual footage from within the mall but that seems extremely unlikely because it would appear that a large majority if not all of the mall has been demolished and I know urban explorers often totally abandoned places like this in very short order so I think this whole thing is a 3d model that Kane has put together. - Additionally and full credit to @yugeproblem8810 for posting this on Part 3 the bearded man in this video shares a resemblance to French botanist Julien Reverchon and the Rolling Giant appears to have also been a real art piece created by Kevin Obregon which would indicate that these are the 2 men seen in this video. Julien at the beginning and Kevin crafting at the end. Hope this helps get the Juices flowing for some of you more creative people that are better at putting things together than me. I love these stories and theory craft about this is one of my favorite things about them.

The mask/giant was actually built by an artist, Kevin Obregon. The man at the start is Julien Reverchon, a botanist from the 19th century that the rolling giant was based off of. Also, the mall was built by corrupt, you can see that in the description of TOV3

Here is my theory. That face that was put on the giant is some kind of ancient deity that was long forgotten because it seems like an old pagan god in appearance rather like the Green Man. But when it is depicted, when an idol is made of it, it can then manifest itself through it hence why this is renewal and someone unknowingly did this and entered it as an artwork at this mall exhibition, who knows what happened after that leading to the events of part 3.

After watching part 3 I have a theory, the subject of this video is the one who created the Rolling Giants, but these are beings that lived but are already dead, at minute 3:07, it shows us a POV scene, and If you look closely, on the ground you can see that there is blood, in addition, it seems that he is going to put those flowers somewhere on his body, as is, the rolling giant that we saw, had in his hands, perhaps the subject that create the rolling giants, use real people to make these creations, plus the chorus at the end can be attributed to the creation of a new living being, since the chorus is also attributed to God and religion. As another extra point, at minute 0:25, we can see in the center, there is an area that is gray among all the green grass, could that be a person's hair? Someone who died there, perhaps the protagonist from the third video, and the guy with a beard grabs the flower that sprouted from the body of the deceased and uses it to make his creations (Well as I say, it's just a theory, pretty crazy lol)

You're right about the blood I noticed that too, and the floor looks like the concrete in parts 2 & 3. I also keep wondering whether the 'writer' we see here is dead themselves, or if this is just another 'area' albeit one that Wyatt seemingly died to enter (though I'm unsure, Wyatt is still moving at the end of part 3 though it may just be an error or his final breaths). Because in both cases the area has this green hue to it with black and white elements. We never saw any colours becoming monochrome in any other part of this series so far, it makes me wonder if it's a sort of afterlife? I also can't stop thinking about the dead horses and soldiers that appeared briefly in part 3 when the lights flicker near the end. I wonder if this is related to La Réunion (Dallas) [see Wikipedia] or something... Eg. Victor Prosper Considerant who resembles this individual was a writer? I don't know. American history is noooot my strong suit. EDIT: It has come to my attention that the 'writer' is likely Julien Reverchon.

@BrimmFate
@BrimmFate 6 ай бұрын
I doubt it, rolling giant is obviously just a supermarket robot, no wonder it's so invasive and always bumping in to stuff. Jokes aside I doubt it's anything like dead people haunting the somewhat mechanical piece of art. Although the trees at the end, and the leaves in his hand probably have a connection. I feel like the rolling giant is more of an embodiment of something related to that or something of time as weird as that may sound, but the fact that 1: the mall became overgrown at a very fast rate feels like time got skipped And 2: if I'm on the topic of time, the rolling giant seems to have shown him things of the past, mainly because I don't think this was taken place back when horse riding was common anyway and you can see a dead horse and people for a bit And also this is a hunch but it feels like the mall was in itself placed in the wrong space rather than it having been built there. There's also the stairs being caves in which could have just happened if the time around the area was passed Basically I think the rolling giant or maybe the mask itself, being a mask that looks rather old, has something to do with time and maybe just space, and the mall was literally placed at that point of time and the rolling giant caused the overgrowth in the mall and the cave in. It's also worth noting the guy himself is seemingly detached from time, seeing as he himself is in black and white maybe because he was from an older time, while the grass behind him isn't idk
