I hear you, but there is a good reason for that. ;¬) In the video they are both calling her Maddie (or Maddy). It's what English speakers, and some other nations, do and is known as a diminutive suffix, which shows affection and or intimacy. The fact that I've added a double 'd' is one of the English language's annoying irregularities, where some words, get that double letter under certain grammatical circumstances. It almost always happens with abbreviated names. So Daniel, can change to Dan, or Danny and Robert can change to Rob or Robby. An irregularity of this irregularity is my name, Peter can change to Pete, or Petey, but the second one never gets the double letter, probably because petty is similar and is a commonly used adjective, meaning unimportant, and Petty is also a family name. So, Madeline can change to Maddy and also Maddie. And Maddie is completely adorable, isn't she? ♥

Other than the pains of cancer/age that Madadh may be feeling It would be so dreamy to spend forever with her just like she is today. So calm and gentle; her timidity and aggression gone. While that might not be characteristic of the species, it's hard not to fall in love with her. This one got to me.

Boy this hit me with a surprise wave of sentimental sadness. As soon as Maddie came trotting out of the bushes to say hello, and spend some social time with them I immediately saw so many similarities to my childhood dog Sam. She was a silver and black German Shepherd dog who I met when she was 2 living in the yard of the auto body repair shop my step dad was working for. She was on a kinked 10 foot length of heavy chain with nothing but mud inside of her area. They considered her their guard dog, but she immediately would start jumping and singing with that Shepard howly yowling trying to get anyone to give her attention. Well the second I laid eyes on her I being 5 years old ignored everything else around me and went straight to meet this beautiful girl living in filth, yet seemingly so happy to see me recognize her. It was love at first sight, and I immediately asked my step dad if I could have her. It was a no, so like Ralphy in A Christmas Story I carefully considered how to enact my campaign to free my love from bondage and bring her home with me. What turned out to be the most effective wasnt part of my plan of generally harrasing my mom by repeatedly asking until she broke, what did it was she could see that it wasn't just a boy wanting a dog it was that I had empathized so strongly with her suffering and showed real sadness about her conditions and the questions I was asking in my innocent minds attempts to understand why she was being left like that. My mom's heart broke considering the consequences of showing me indifference was acceptable, and she told my step dad that he needed to get the dog and bring her home. After two days, and my constantly asking when she was coming, my mom discovered that he was worried about asking and didn't want to steal her and maybe lose his job. She told him to just ask in the morning, and he came home saying they wanted to keep her so he was sorry but no dog. I remember like it was yesterday, my mom demanded that night he drive us there, and he stayed in the car while my mom and I walked straight in through the gate and unhooked her chain, and walked her back to the car with me holding her collar. He did get fired soon after, but not for that. And I believe his inability to act in making it a family crime is what led to their divorce about a year later. There was a clear loss of respect from that moment on. Besides that dog was such a important part of the family, and for the next 11 years she was never away from my side unless I was at school. She too developed cancer, and during her final days when it was becoming obvious she was starting to get weaker and weaker I chose to live outside in the backyard with her sleeping with her spooning against me through the nights. She didn't have any bladder control those last week's but nothing was going to keep me from being with her until the end. I would have never forgiven myself if she had passed away alone in the night. One morning we woke up and her back leg had swollen so badly from the tumor finally cutting off the bloods ability to flow back out, and she couldn't get up any more. It was time, and that morning I lifted her into the car for the last ride. The vet tried to take her into the back room to put her down, and I refused to let her go without me. The vet relented, and Sam fell asleep peacefully in my arms. It took a long time to come to terms with that loss, and I kept a shrine on my shelf by my bed until I was old enough to move out on my own. That was in 1989, I still have her ashes. They are to be spread with mine when that day comes. I have had many amazing animals in my life since then, but a boy's first dog is something special that creates a bond unlike any other. One day we will walk again in our Indiana woods. I love you Sammy.

Hi Anneka. People always get inspired by other people, but animals? Yup! I have had Multiple Sclerosis going on 6 years now. It was a blow. I found myself going from living, to just 'surviving', scared to death of the inevitable outcome this disease does to a human. Then I find this lovely lady and her channel who loves animals as much as I do. Then this story comes up. I can't spell the name so I'm spelling the wolf's name "Maddie." An inspiration that beat the odds and conquered longetivity. I want to like Maddie. Anneka, you yourself have to be the gentlist person in the world. And genuine. So glad I found your channel luv, I've been out of sorts as of late and have a lot of your videos still to watch. My husband and daughter watch you with me as well. Sorry about being long-winded, and am not trying to glorify my disease. I am doing good and have the good kind of MS. Remit recur I think it's called. Anyway, God bless you always Anneka, and thank you for loving animals☺

Hannah Elorie God bless you from one MSer to another! I have relasping/remitting as well and suffer from a lot of chronic pain, and I find it very therapeutic to be around animals, as well as watch animal videos such as this one. Hang tough! ❤

Dana East Bless your soul. I've not spoken to another person with this. Only the lady that come to show me how to give myself injections. Yup I've got the chronic pain as well. Especially in my head. I guess if we've got to have this horrid thing, we got the right kind. Thank you so much for replying to my comment Dana💗

Hannah Elorie my buddy died of multiple sclerosis at only 38. Count yourself lucky but don't fool yourself into believing yours isn't going to get worse. Unless you're already 80 it will eventually kill you.

Arizonan here, can confirm the size of the animal enclosures in a variety of zoo locations around the state are depressingly small and inadequate.
@lonewolf2094 жыл бұрын
Yes, Here in California they've been updating zoo requirements and forcings zoos to update and enlarge enclosures. Unfortunately, it is a slow and expensive process.
@ymhktravel4 жыл бұрын
Since I turned 13 and have come to realize that zoos are appalling places for animals, esp animals that need to roam in large places, I've stopped patronising the zoos. I'd rather, for instance, take a boat out to the dolphin's natural environment out in the seas. it also makes me feel happy to see them frolicking around the boat because their happy desire to be at close proximity with humans is voluntary. The only type of captivity I'd visit would be safari-like enclosures that mimick the natural environ as much as possible, such as the one in the vid.

Anneka Svenska - In the far north of Canada where there's no human hunting pressure, the wolves do approach humans out of curiosity, but they are still timid and avoid most contact. This wolf obviously has bonded very strongly to her guardian for such close contact. My sable founding German Shepherd Dog female barely tolerates such behaviour from me after three years...but she's slowly becoming a "leaner".
