My mama was the Vicky of the family when her sisters were still alive. She was allowed to set the table and that was IT!!!! So happy I learned how to cook!

@@shalawndudley2094 She did!!!!! My granny would take out her best china, crystal, fancy silverware and cloth napkins with the fancy rings and my mama would make it magazine worthy. Wish I could insert a picture. It looked lovely. The middle sister couldn't really cook either but she would make potato salad in summer and butter the rolls in winter. Still more than my mother could do. The middle sisters cooking infuriated the oldest sister so bad one New Years a whole fight broke out that landed my grandmother upside down in a corner! lol

@@rachela397 If by great you mean dysfunctional then yes it was a great time had by all! LOL LOL LOL It looked like a full blown middle school cafeteria food fight by the time they were done. It only stopped when my Uncle screamed...STOP look what y'all done! Mama upside down in the corner. And they all turned as if in a movie and looked at her on her head...legs up in the air in the corner! The sisters stopped fighting and the oldest grabbed her husband and my disabled uncle who she cared for and left! The aunt whose cooking and whose house we were at went to her room guided by her son. And my grandma finally got helped out the corner by the uncle who got them to stop. He collected my grandma, his girlfriend and her two daughters and they left. But by Easter we were all back at it again around a festive table. But middle auntie didn't cook anything! She brought beverages! LOL They are all dead and gone now minus my mom and one uncle but I have my memories!

Thank God my mama and my aunts can all cook!! Mama got that macaroni and cheese on lock as well as them chicken wings. First aunt got them killer greens and cornbread, second auntie makes the best pound cake with the lemon drizzle, third aunt flys in from outta state so she is exempt from bringing food (but she can sholl cook a turkey or a ham) and baby aunt makes a bomb sweet potato casserole. Now my cousins... well that's a different story!!! 😂
