buggy's ship is called the big top and it has a circus tent on the deck, so my best guess is that's where it's taking place! maybe luffy fell through the top of the tent when the bird dropped him from its mouth 😂

i'm putting my money on it right now: that scene of zoro at the bottom of a well isn't from his backstory. it's a visual metaphor showing how much zoro still has to climb to become the greatest. . . also probably because mihawk calls him a frog in a well during the fight.

Many NEWER fans from the casual world are gonna hate Nami is my prediction, every show always has that one annoying bitchy female character that everybody hates that'll eventually get character development and become likable as the show progresses. One piece live action needs to be interpreted in a way western audiences can understand despite the manga series itself bringing global appeal even outside of the west. The show runners are western and majority of the cast are also western so the Hollywood "spark" is to be expected.

People complaining things are going to change don’t really comprehend adapting such a long shonen into live action 8 episode series I think. So much going into it like budget, pacing, what’s even possible to do. What’s important to me is they seem to have captured the spirit of one piece perfectly. Had goosebumps and teared up a bit watching this. I think it looks fantastic.

The good thing about this live action adaptation is that Oda can implement scenes that he didn't get implemented in the early days of one piece Like Buggy in a circus tent, that's not in the anime but Buggy in the circus tent feels fitting for his character, cause you know he is clown.

It seems to me that Arlong is hunting Nami and will probably take her at Baratie instead of her ‘betraying’ the crew. Most likely due to time restrictions they can’t adapt the whole ‘traitor Nami’ part of the arc so it’ll be more like Strong World where the crew have to go save her.

You have to remember it's all condensed so they had to re-write the whole East Blue saga. It's still the same story but told differently so that they could fit all of East Saga into 8 episodes. And it looks really good.

There's a lot of changes from the Manga. But i like most of them. Putting Garp next to Roger at his execution makes absolute sense. He is the king of the pirates at that moment. No way in hell they put a no name marine in that spot instead of Rogers greatest adversary and the hero of the marines who hales from the Eastblue himself. The other thing i really like, even tho it's just a really small detail is that they turned Luffy into the nasal bone of the logo :D. It's really cute I also thing the Season should go until they go up Reverse Mountain. That would make most sense to me, since that is the finish to the East Blue Saga. We do have the barrel scene after all and Smoker.

What I think is that Luffy,Zoro,And Nami will arrive at Orange Town.Buggy puts on a show like a circus or smth,Luffy starts a conversation with Buggy or smth saying that he's gonna be The Pirate King.Buggy makes fun of him,Luffy or Buggy start a fight And Luffy gets knocked out,Zoro And Nami join the fight,which leads to the scene in the trailer where Buggy uses his powers and calls out his attack.The Three leave after defeating Buggy,Arlong shows up after the fight looking for Nami or just passing by.We see Usopp's Arc.Then go to the Baratie,fight Don Krieg,shortly after Arlong shows up,Nami starts acting weird,Arlong recognizes Nami and she betrays The Strawhat Crew saying that she's part of Arlong's Crew,telling to go find another navigator.Luffy does the whole "You are our Navigator" stuff,which again Leads to the fight Baratie leading up to Arlong Park,And mabye even Logue Town since their was the foot on the Barrel Scene which happens after Logue Town.Don't take this seriously this is just my theory.

My first thought seeing the slides and stuff at Arlong Park was “that’s a bit silly”. Then I remembered why Arlong named it Arlong Park that we find out about in Sabaody/Fishman Island. Then I was like “perfect!”.

It's insane how jam packed this trailer is! My prediction is that Arlong might be chasing after Nami and they'll make Him the arc's focal point that bridges all the stories together so that it's one full story arc rather than 5 mini arcs! Cause it's especially interesting that Garp is closely following them but at the same time building and continuously following Coby's storyline as well. This may wind up as Oda's Director's cut. for one piece (figuratively speaking)

Shanks looks amazing! I really hope he says the "put your life on the line" line. For those of you who have never heard of Peter Gadiot who is playing Shanks, he was in Queen of the South. I highly recommend it. He is fantastic in it. And Buggy looks great too. The dude playing him was in Agents of S.H.I.E.LD. I don’t know who is playing Roger but he might as well be Johnny Depp. You can even see Dragon in his green claw on the right in that shot looking up at the execution platform. I was wondering if there were going to reference to things that arent referenced in the original East Blue manga like the other supernovas & it looked like I was right because we see a reference to Foxy, Bellamy & Cavendish. They weren’t referenced in the original East Blue Saga.

I kind of like them bringing the fishman to the Baratie. I always felt it a little odd that Arlong just decided to chill in one town for years, especially considering he wanted to conquer East Blue. By having him show up else where makes it look like he was traveling around (maybe looking for places worth conquering or exploiting at one point) instead of just sitting pretty waiting for a ass whopping

They did stay true to the material. A few tweaks with the plot is okay since the One Piece anime and manga have soooo many episodes, characters and fillers that for me not everyone can be included here. But hopefully they keep the iconic or memorable characters, I was missing Hatchan big in the arlong fights. not sure if they removed him.

I am pretty sure they don't change the story at all, they just try to give Arlong more importance more often like showing him at different scenes before he is the "final boss" at Arlong Park. So as the viewer you will get the feeling that this mysterious guy will have an important role later on and on the Baratie they are destroyed by him. It could also be that this is they way Nami leaves them here, because Arlong literally takes her with him and they cant do anything about it there. It looks so amazing.

Like if Buggy was setting up camp at Syrup Village, Kuro was going to use Buggy as a distraction and scapegoat to pull off killing Kaya, and the Baratie docked nearby to get in on all the traffic going on from Buggy's show, where Arlong shows up near the end because he's effectively in charge of the East Blue to see what's going on but also collect Nami, the guys can't follow cause Zoro comes across Mihawk, but also they LOSE to Arlong's men the first time, they THEN go to Cocoyashi for the Arlong Park stuff, where they fight them again and win. I can so see this arrangement working out.

It seems that Don Krieg is either left out, or will have a neglected narrative in the show. Also fishmen in Barratie can mean that Nami won't leave on her own in the show, but Arlong bringing along Nami, will be the motivation for the crew to go after her.

Arlong isn’t in Buggy’s tent, in the BTS a couple years back the directors pointed out an original location in the Baratie being the bar and Zoro will have a couple moments in there. I believe that’s where that is not Buggy’s tent

The moment that you referenced to about the barrel exploding & sending off a signal was the prelude to the Thriller Bark arc, which is likely a signal for something else in the live action, possibly Buggy's clowns pirates' fireworks. Also, at the beginning of the trailer in the right hand corner of the crowd during Roger's execution, you can see that back of Dragon.

This trailer has me hype af for it. I really hope it holds up to this too. It felt like one piece, I got the same emotional response from this as from one piece. To the point, that I am probably going to use this live action to introduce my mother, who refuses to watch anime or anything of that nature, to the story. If it can give me that, and it succeeds enough to continue beyond 1 season, it will be worth it for me.

I think they're gonna tweak it so instead of Nami suddenly stealing their ship to go back to Cocoyashi, some Fishmen are going to show up at the Baratie to give a little more narrative as to why she HAS to go back to Cocoyashi. Then the rest of the crew will go there to get her back.

The face at 14:53 is different than the face at 15:42. My assumption is that that Buggy's circus is still at orange town, and the other face is at Arlong Park, which is shown in other scenes as having other theme park stuff. You see a big pink explosion at 1:26, and Nami is in a wrecked town at 2:40. The wrecked town looks a lot like Orange Town after a Buggy Ball was shot through it. I think that's what the colorful explosion was.
