10x7" Rectangle baking tin (or something similar).
STREUSEL
45g Plain Flour
30g Demerera Sugar
30g Melted Butter
¼ tsp Cinnamon
CRUMBLE
120g Cold Butter
180g Plain Flour
40g Caster Sugar
25g Demerera Sugar
Pinch of Salt
APPLES
650g Chopped/Peeled Apples
2-3 tbsp Caster Sugar
¾ tsp Cinnamon
Pinch of Cloves
BROWN SUGAR CUSTARD
3 Egg Yolks
90g Light Brown Sugar
30g Cornflour
Pinch of Salt
500ml Whole Milk
200ml Double Cream
1 tsp Vanilla

I love apple crumble and have tried many variations \ recipes but never tried streusel topping. I do rinse the apples with some fruity olive oil and lime juice with some orange zest, grated nutmeg and bits of fresh ginger!

Funny! I just made similar brown sugar custard by simply replacing white sugar for brown and using half &half instead of whole milk in regular custard recipe, and us3d in a cake filling! It was a hit❣️
