Have you not tried the power ned worm yet?! It doesn't bulk the bait up but that flat/tapered tail WIGGLES. I've thrown spunk shads on the minimax and they don't move like the power ned.

Bro I just caught a 5.55 (5.9) smallie on a 3/8 pearl w/ big bites baits zero drop minnow (basically a baby fluke with s forked tail instead of split- they’re killllrr on the back… been catching absolute trophy 4-5-6 lb river smallies on miniMAX this year..
