So I have been watching you for a while now. Well 2 months ago I joined US LawShield. Upon joining I received a free copy of this book titled "Louisiana Gun Law-Armed and Educated", written by this guy who I was told was the top self defense attorney in Louisiana named James J. Reeves. I was looking through some US LawShield videos earlier and saw video on how to avoid becoming a headline during this national crisis. On it is this Louisiana attorney James J Reeves. I hear his voice (because I was listening and not watching) and his voice sounds familiar. I look down and see your face. It was at that moment that I realized that "you" James Reeves and "that" James Reeves are one in the same. Never made the connection before this. I am not too sure how I feel about my life and freedom one day possibly being in the hands of someone who owns not 1, not 2, not 3, but FOUR Kel-Tec P380's..... a total gun snob at that😂😂😂 Must be stopped 😅😅😅👍👍👍

Personal fan of the P32. Even smaller and lighter, and it locks open on the last round. Yes it is .32ACP (place hate for me to ignore below) so shot placement is very important. Those of you who appendix carry a M1 Abrams can read something else. That being said, it is good for its intended niche: very concealed and better at range than your pocketknife. It is truly a "forget it is there" pistol. For me, the .380 version is too big for its benefits. If it works, I will wear my Officer sized 1911. Bottom line: Carry what you want, but carry. Keep it cleaned and maintained. Feed it good carry rounds. Practice regularly. Stress drills. Placement is key.

I've had a first generation Kel-Tec P32 for many years and shot it quite a bit. I consider it the single best ultra compact .32 ACP ever made. It's in a unique category in terms of extreme light weight and thinness. Mine ran everything I put in it out of the box, except for balking a little with Remington ammunition. A small radius on the bottom corner of the extractor cured that. Perfect function since. The Cor-Bon load is too hot for it, and the slide will cycle too fast to pick up the top cartridge. This also happens in some traditional steel .32s like the Colt 1903. The first generation guns had a truly excellent and innovative sighting system and slide profile. It was perfect for raising the gun to eye level while focusing on the target. Shots will go right where you're looking. Probably the single best sights ever for an ultra small short range handgun. Unfortunately Kel-Tec took a big step backwards with the second generation and switched to conventional sights, which are unremarkable and not very good. Unconventional sighting systems seem to be little understood or appreciated. The SIG P365 SAS is another example of an ingenious and excellent sight that just hasn't caught on or gotten the appreciation it truly deserves.

But this past summer I found myself pocket-carrying it on a fairly routine weekend basis because I'd be out jogging (shirtless), with my daughter in her stroller & 2 dogs on leashes. Not a lot of room for concealment, so one day I threw the little Ruger in my gym shorts & it was perfect for the task. I know Hop didn't care much for his copy of the pistol & spoke negatively about it in his TFB review, but mine has been extremely reliable after thousands of rounds using exclusively Remington 36gr hollow point, so I do trust it to poke holes in villainous people when I'm out on a jog & can't carry my 43X. I documented several fails to eject and or extract. Exact round count, ammunition type(s), malfunction...all of that sent to the company. When I got the new slide assembly I shot several rounds through it without any issues. But, in my mind I just could not get passed the issues it previously had. I just could not get passed the mindset of it not being reliable. Even though I test fired it and there were no issues I sold it. Fast forward to Ruger and their version. I bought one and it has been flawless through hundreds of rounds. It is a perfect little carry gun for the reasons mentioned in the video.

I still EDC the Gen-1 P3AT my father bought new in 2004. It got hard on his hands by 2008, when he was 76. I have had it ever since, and I suspect it has had over 1,000 rounds through it; I stopped keeping track 10 years ago. I did buy two 9-round magazines from KelTec, and a few spare parts, a few years ago. 6 months ago I began to have FTF issues and the magazine fell out once from recoil. Got to looking and found that the original polymer mag catch was considerably worn. I replaced the mag catch, and it was back to original action immediately. Even with 10 rounds, it still weighs under 13 oz, and the 9-round mag only adds 1 1/4 inch to the grip, & 1.5 oz loaded, so it's still super-concealable. The sights are non-existent, the recoil is sharp, and yet it is easy to maintain, and always works. For me, it's definitely been a keeper!

Heard Kel-Tec is introducing a new handgun for 2021 that’s supposed to be like an updated P-11. Also I have 4 Kel-Tec P-32s
@jamesbarnes88546 ай бұрын
I had two P32s at one point. I kept the hard to find nickel boron edition. The last round hold open and 7+1 won over the P3AT for me. I still carry it as a dress clothes gun

I've had my TCP for about 4 years now and it had performed well with everything except Monarch steel case ammo. I had 2 stove pipes with the monarch range ammo. A cheap carry option isn't bad as long as it is reliable with defensive loads. Carry the cheap pistol it'll make it where you are even less likely to brandish the weapon unless it is absolutely necessary. A Kel-Tec or a Taurus is like a Vespa scooter. It may do the job and be a lot of fun, but you don't want your friends to see you with it.

Having four of a small model of gun takes you from a New York reload to a full fledged John Wick reload.

Kel-Tec got this one right. The P32 is inexpensive and exceptionally designed to be accurate and reliable with very little recoil. Kel-Tec needs to increase the production of this pistol, now that James (aka blabber mouth) let everyone know about this gem of a firearm. How about a TFB Bastard version in all metal with a fiber optic front sight?
@thecookiechannel70838 ай бұрын
The 32 version is a great gym shorts gun too. Fmj shoots through a 2x4 at 12 feet away.
@michigangreyhammer29134 жыл бұрын
Yes the sights are garbage, same goes for the LCP. But it's not like you're gonna qualify at the 100 yard range with them either, both are point shooters. I agree they are great for a backup, my license dose not restrict me to carrying one gun!
@blondhairblackstrat4 жыл бұрын
Oh, look at all of the "haters"! Kel Tec is vastly underrated, IMHO. I got a P-11 when they first came out--runs reliably. Then a P-32 when they came out--added the magazine strips to prevent rimlock with hollow points--runs reliably and hits pretty hard with Fiocchi 90 grain SJHP. Then traded my nasty-recoiling NAA Guardian .380 for a P3AT--runs great with Buffalo Barnes .380 +P copper hollow points. Oh--going way back--My Grendel P-12 "safe queen".

Great video. An inexpensive item (gun) that works as well as an expensive one is a smart buy. Carry guns are survival tools not family heirlooms and the cheaper they are the better they are. I'm not a fan of the 380 ACP but I may try to find one of these for myself. Thanks for the video.

Mine broke, unstaked firing pin took Seecamp 3 months to get it back to me (pre covid). Can’t DIY it since all of the parts are “hand fitted.” Finicky with the ammo. Heavy, no sights, expensive. But other than all that, yeah they’re kind of cool.

Interesting choice! Kel Tec! Who'd a-thunk it? My "cheap gun" is a 9 mm RUGER LC9s. Reliable and fairly accurate with a Crimson Trace laser. I had the slide black Cerakoted to prevent rust from concealed carry.
@mattberry44574 жыл бұрын
a couple years ago i bought one from a buddy. he’d had it for years so i knew it was reliable. he also cleaned up the trigger so it isn’t too bad. he also made a holster and pocket mag pouch and it has a laser which i’ll probably remove. i bought it for the same reason james did and it just works.
@Sikmind520 Жыл бұрын

once the ruger lcp got mass produced & distributed the keltec 3at turned to vapor in my area; I have owned 3 separate 'improved' lcp's (2 new & 1 used -- improved with the slightly lighter trigger & slightly higher sights); all started having the frame pins walk out under recoil after 350-400 rounds; I tried 2 different S&W bodyguards (no laser)...better build quality but horrible triggers & less accuracy (and mags stop locking back the slide after awhile); my favorite 380's are bersa thunders (really want 1 or 2 again if our political system allows civilian ownership in the next regime -- regret parting with my last one); bought a used kahr cw380...too fussy of a feeder); my current (and only) 380 is a springfield armory 911 alpha bought in early covid-19...so far very few hiccups and approaching 500 rds overall
