Thing about Force Foresight and the Light Side is that they're also a trap. Once you "give in to the will of the Force", you're basically a puppet on strings being railroaded towards a preestablished outcome. The Jedi Code commands you to let go and accept the inevitable, but trying to fight it also may lead to self-fulfilling prophecy (AKA Anakin).

It’s very understandable now why the Sith wanted to be immortal either by an object or as a Sith Spirit. Not only do they know that once death in upon them they’ll end up in Chaos, but also they could not see their any sort of foresight unless the best of the best of Sith had at least some grasp of foresight from at birth or later learned. The loss of foresight when an individual delves to close to the Dark is that final puzzle piece as to why Sith and DarkSiders want to remain within the Living Force.

I think the ability of foresight would be a very valuable tool to have in your arsenal of force abilities for both the Light & Dark side. For instance, the Jedi could use foresight to predict the outcomes of future conflicts or battles with the Sith, Mandalorians, or non-force sensitive enemies, and try to limit the amount of casualties that their clone trooper battalions or old republic armies would've suffered from. Whereas the Sith would've utilized this ability to give them the advantage in combat, by foreseeing their Jedi opponents attacks ahead of time, and quickly devising a counter attack. They would also this ability to ensure their victory in any current or future wars with my former Jedi comrades. Lastly, I myself possess this ability... to an extent. For example, I could envision a scene or my favorite episode from one of my favorite tv shows or movies, then sometimes they would air that very day, or some time during the week. And on the rare occasion, I would see a fragmented vision or memory of myself being at a certain location, or witnessing real life events happening either within days, weeks, months, or even years down the road, and then experiencing a big case of deja vu when the aforementioned predictions occur.

I view foresight as something of a double edged sword. On the one hand, it can come in handy in certain circumstances, like strategy and tactics, but on the other hand, some have a difficult time using it effectively and can be obsessed with what they saw. It's one of those abilities that should be used by individuals with the necessary detachment from what they saw, and it should be used with both caution and respect.

I think there should have been a dark side version of foresight and the light side version should have been called oracle or something similar, while foresight should have been the dark side version's name. The way foresight works is more of an oracle given by another, rather than how it normally works in fantasy or scifi, which is a preternatural ability to see the future or something similar. If foresight was the dark side ability I think it would be cool if it worked something like, the stronger the actions of the sith and their repercussions, the more likely they are to see a vision. After all the way the dark side is described is bending the force user's inner force and the cosmic version of the force to the will of the user, so just like how Obi-Wan felt an echo in the force when Aldeeran was destroyed, having the echo reach back to the sith that caused something like that before the fact and giving them a pre-cognitive vision sounds bone-chilling. (stranger phenomenon we have witnessed regarding wounds in the force, so time traveling echo sounds about right lol)

What’s your opinion on this “According to Darth Momin, Darth Vader and Darth Sidious have been using the Dark Side all wrong. Darth Momin said that one must glorify the Dark Side through their actions, not force it to bend to their own selfish will. In fact, Momin went so far as to attribute Darth Vader’s current physical condition and overall misery to his misuse of the Dark Side. Momin said that the Dark Side punishes those who don’t use it correctly-telling Vader that if he was truly the ‘Chosen One’ as Palpatine led him to believe, then why was he dismembered and burnt to a crisp? Or why was his true love, Padme, dead? Darth Momin blamed all of Darth Vader’s problems on the Dark Side, claiming the powerful energy current was essentially angry with Vader for using it improperly-meaning the same could be said for Darth Sidious.”

Where you have Yoda and the council on the Jedi side of things, in the sith you have the emperor and the sith acolyte. 0:27 what u just explained could explain why Luke was able to defeat Darth Vader. Yea, we all know that tapping into the darkside is how he beat him, but Vader did this as Anakin Skywalker and he used the darkside for over 20 years. We all see him going down a road of fear in the empire strikes back, and like Yoda said many times, fear is a path to the darkside, so Luke was probably getting stronger with the darkside through his fear, and he and us didn't realize it. Sidious said in the comics that turning fear into anger makes you stronger, and as we all see in return of the jedi, he does this. Like I said before, Vader is stronger than him, but I think Luke being more powerful than Vader realizes, is what caught him off guard.

So, if a dark sider was to allow the force to guide them they could develop foresight.

I don't think it should be a must because for some it could be taken as a curse and plague their minds on what is to come and what might or what will happen I would rather not have that ability if I had the option to choose it but if I was born with it I would take great care when using it for all is not what it would seem

Palpatine received foresight because the force itself wanted the jedi to fall and be remade.

Force sight must've been a gateway to submit to the force, and maybe it had a connection to the living force as well. Thus jedi had a higher proficiency in this ability. The dark side is always self-created fate, in which it unshackle a force being from fate and the force plan. The dark side might be unpredictable, dangerous, and no direction but your own, free from morals, ethics, consequences because of the huge power that the dark side is, in the wrong hands, in the corrupted or evil. Its very dangerous, but in the very powerful and capable of using it, its deadly. The one who've eaten the worlds of living beings, consumed by despair and the dark side it lost it's humanity, it isn't a he anymore but more a thing, a thing so cold, so dead, and so hungry it will consume anything in its way, creating cataclysms in the force, disrupting the normal chain of events the living force has planned, and the very dead and not angry, vengeful or something human when *he* in marks lost his family, but a emptiness so empty it its upon the living, yet the hunger is never quenched and it will consume until it consumes all, its wake is death itself and it is..a very cruel thing, a poor yet, magnificent thing.

Really i thought foresight was an exceptionally rare ability not just something that even padawans could have if they concentrate? I know Anakin, Syfo Dyas and Pelagius all had foresight but obviously they could not forsee their own deaths ironic ehhhhhh... anyways how does foresight work is it just specific events because it seems that way??
