Why are the PYTD sales and quantity values null even though we are considering them from the base fact set table which has values starting from Jan 2022 and for the PYTD sales we calculated from 2022 to 2023 April 14. If you could explain that would be great.

Hi Chen. Just wondering in the data cleaning, why did we do not remove the null column? I found that in accounts_id column in accounts table, there are null value. Just wondering what's the thought process of why we not eliminating it. Thank you

You should take out null values, something I missed when doing this. This is what caused a many to many relationship later on in the project. Good spot

You should use the (new) cards, that way you can bring in multiple metrics in a single card visual - let me know if I misunderstood

SWITCH functions allow us to switch between multiple values/fields/measures - here I’m using SWITCH functions to switch between the sales/gp/volume measures 😊

Ty for answering! A few more questions: 1. Is there a need to make another measure just for the dates? Doesn't powerbi automatically create a date hierarchy for the dates? 2. How do you know when to use the date from the created measure vs the date from fact_sales?
