At night I wash again with the same benzoyl peroxide facewash and then apply tretinoin to my face and neck, and an eye serum with yerba mate, caffeine and hyaluronic acid under my eyes. I am a 52 year old male. I currently don't have any major wrinkles but my brothers do. I have only ever used two products for my whole body which might make some folks wince. First, I used a lathersome shampoo to wash everything from hair to feet in one go! Second, I then slapped aqueous cream on my face where I even used a bit leftover on my hand for the front of my hair to lift it up a bit! And that has been it for over 30 years. I now however can't help wondering if my face would've looked better if I too had used a retinoid and other products especially sunscreen that were actually dedicated for my face? I think I'm at the age where things start to become noticeable, therefore, I have just started to use a Cerave cleanser and PM moisturiser at night with Differin gel and Cerave AM moisturiser in the morning. Apart from now spending more time and money, I've been so used to liberally slapping aqueous cream on my face that using the specified quantities for the Differin gel and moisturisers feels like I'm not using enough to protect myself! Thank you for all your videos including your stretching routines, they have been inspirational so keep up the good work ❤👍

I try different sunscreens because I want to find my holy grail :) I do enjoy skincare a lot and trying different products so I'm definitely in this category of 4-5 step skincare routine which I love! However, there are 4 things that definitely are the foundation of my skincare routine and it goes in line with yours (which are responsible for 80% of my good skin, the rest is just fluff honestly, on top of nutrition, hydration, activity and good sleep hygiene): 1) good, gentle cleansing 2) sunscreen 3) retinoid 4) rich moisturizing (cannot use tret without good moisturizers personally). I love your simplistic approach. I do use additionally: AM: vit C serum with ferulic acid and vit E, AHA and BHA (couple of times a week, otherwise my dead skin rolls under my fingers from tret), PM: niacinamide / hyaluronic acid serum. AM: no cleanser (just rinse with water to wake up), ginseng toner, peptide or niacinamide serum, sun screen spf 50, vaseline on the lips. PM: oil cleanser, then a 2nd gentle cleanser, ginseng toner, retinal (it's difficult to get a tretinoine prescription here in Belgium), moisterizer, vaseline on my lips and when I'm feeling it also on my forehead and under my eyes. (+ Once or twice a week I switch the retinal for a lactic acid.)

My hero products, those that I have purchased over and over and have used for years would be Paula's Choice UltaLight Concentrate Antioxidant serum which I use in the morning and Tretinoin which I use at night. I've tried different moisturizers and sunscreens and some I have repurchased but these two items are the one's I always use.

At the moment, I simply use Bioderma for cleansing (once a day as my skin is very dry, and I never wear make-up or sunscreen - owing to a severe chronic illness). I then use an essence - I like Missha Time Revolution, followed by COSRX Snail Mucin power essence (I don't think this will ever leave my routine it's so good). I then apply just around the eye area Estriol cream (estrogen cream - prescription), and the TNS Skinmedica growth factor serum all over face, neck, chest. After that's soaked in, I use the Skin 1004 probio cica barrier cream, which is excellent: a little goes a long way, it's extremely hydrating and calming owing to the Madecassoside. I tried for awhile using castor oil as last step around eyes but it was irritating, so I'm now using Le Prunier's Plum oil. It's definitely a splurge but so light, effective and smells like marzipan!

One major life changing habit that improved my skin drastically is cutting down use of make up. My skin literally improved and I stopped breaking out altogether. I still wear occasionally for special occasions but I stopped wearing it daily. I just use cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen now.

Hi, For PM I use La Roche Posay Toleraine Dermo cleanser, Dieux Instant Angel face cream, and Prescription Tret 2x week. For the AM I still use the same cleanser and face cream, then La Roche Posay Mineral Anthelios Fluid Sunscreen. I really love your simple and consistency is best motto,couldn't agree more. No makeup for me just a simple gloss from topicals. If I need to help get beach day sunscreen off my face with a double cleanse I will use bioderma micellar water if on hand or use my same Dermo cleanser 2 times For body I use LRP lipikar+ or Prequel urea lotion, nuxe pink bottle deodorant, body wash is Aveeno with coconut scent, and body sunscreen supergoop play lotion and spray.

For too many years I believed that I needed multiple products and active ingredients, but also believe simpler is better. I think my skin is so good at age 65 is because I have used Retin-A consistently since I was in high school. I have only recently discovered Castor Oil and love it, but need to mix it with a thinner oil such as argan oil in order to spread it on my face easier. As an unexpected benefit, I found that the castor oil helps with my dry eyes.

I’ve been searching for an eye cream rich enough for my dry skin forever. I make my own now because I can’t find anything. Oil doesn’t cut it because i need water too. It has to be an emulsified cream. 100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream was strong enough when I was younger. Now, if I run out of my cream while traveling I use Dr. Hauschka Daily Hydrating Eye Cream. Except I use it all over my face & I keep applying until my skin stops absorbing, which uses a lot. I apply a hyaluronic acid, magnesium chloride, ectoin, bisabolol & aloe serum first; there’s an HA eye drop solution over here with ectoin that I can use if I run out (Hylo Dual). That serum makes a huge difference! It’s much cheaper & better to make your own though.

Because I have extremely sensitive skin. I use Neutrogena ultra gentle daily cleaner (the foaming one). Then I use benzol perioxide/clindamycin which is prescribed. I then use the moisturizer Vanicream for sensitive skin. I also use adapalene twice a week. I just started to use a Vitamin C cream by Vanicream a week ago. I am only 3 weeks starting out. I never used any facial cleansers or moisturizers due to my sensitive skin. I used Dove soap to wash my face. After getting slight Acne and discoloration, I went to the dermatologist and got on this regimen. So far no more bumps. I did have peeling like crazy for 2 weeks which seemed to stop. Now my facial texture is like a baby's butt! My discolorations are still fading, but look a lot better already!!!! I will never stop with these products. I am now obsessed with good facial health. ❤❤ Thanks for your knowledge and video. ❤

My AM routine: wash with warm water, Kiehl's calendula toner, Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, Biore Aqua Rich sunscreen. My PM routine: wash off makeup/cleanse with Shu Uemura Anti/Oxi+ cleansing oil, Kiehl's calendula toner, Kiehl's hydro-plumping serum concentrate, Kiehl's ultra facial cream. 2-3 times weekly tretinoin 0.05% strength. I do also love the Chanel Red Camilia Revitalising Serum-in-mist. I tend twds oily skin (better now with tretinoin), living in tropical climate, all these serve me well. Yes, I do splurge a little on skincare but it is still simple, not 10-step, and I don't spend money on mani/pedi/eyelashes/clothes.

You guys are gonna crack up, but I've been using Crisco on my face as a moisturizer for over 30 years. And I definitely don't look my age. Think of your skin as a leather sofa. Try and keep it out of harsh weather, and polish it w/oils often. Works very well.

Thats good genetics and lifestyle. Crisco has no anti-aging capabilities

@JegErN0rsk polishing your skin w/Crisco or any other moisturizer regularly, falls under the category of lifestyle. Genius. 🙄
@JegErN0rsk7 ай бұрын
@@membering not really. Lifestyle is sleep. exersice, food, what you drink, stress.. Point is that crisco wont protect your skin from the sun. It will rather do the opposite. Vegetable oil magnifies UV rays from the sun making your skin age faster. Crisco doesnt have anti-aging properties. Nor does it contain any ingredients found in human skin making it suitable for that job Using crisco is not just bad advice, it is potentially harmful advice

From age 12 up until age 64, i washed my face twice a day with a facecloth, in the morning with Neutrogena soap and in the evening with just water. I used to use Lubriderm hand / body lotion on my face every morning up until this year when i discovered you and tretinoin! Now i use tretinoin 1 - 2 x a week and differin the rest of the time in the evenings. I'm 65 years old now in 2024. (My profile picture right now is from 2023. Its got a filter that increases contrast and color saturation.) I switched from Lubriderm, which started to sting, to Vanicream. That stuff is so mild and inert. Dr. Dray is where i got the Vanicream rec. I usually use elf suntouchable 50 spf sunscreen primer, and sometimes sun bum clear 50 in the morning. Neither one causes my skin any irritation. Thank you for your recommendations and your calming manner.

I use a no name gentle cleanser for sensitive skin, centella ampoule for hydration, and the Hada Labo Tokyo Sunscreen, (which i have to put powder over cause it shines like a lightbulb, but it was the most affordable I could find that doesn't feel greasy or make me look like a ghost or had that awful specific sunscreen smell) Also for the powder I got an affordable one from essence that does the job. And then once a week or once every 2 weeks, I use an AHA+BHA mask.

To bring an example to my point I had acne all my life and got good results from using Differin. Now in the past years I have little spots that look like acne, but when I spoke to my doctor they think that isn't acne anymore but most likely dermatitis/rosacea, so the retinoid that I am using specifically on that area thinking it'd do me good, might be making things worse. So will check in with a derm to adjust my routine!

I agree, simple is best. In the morning I cleanse, use a serum, a moisturizer and then my SPF 50 Cotz flawless complexion. I've really been loving the new cerave hydrating foaming oil cleanser. For moisturizer I use the Kiehls ultra facial moisturizer (not the cream in the tub) because the texture is incredible and it leaves the skin so dewy and plump. At night I oil cleanse then cleanse, currently using Altreno as my retinoid (INCREDIBLE formula) and then seal it all with this amazing vitamine E based cream. I will say the serum I use in the morning is egregiously expensive. It's the skinmedica TNS serum but I can honestly say I've never used a skincare product that created such an immediate and drastic change in my skin. It was hard not to be impressed with it so I'm stuck buying it now. It truly lifts, firms and evens the skin you can visibly see and feel the differnce. It's like photoshop in a bottle. That skinmedica product is truly remarkable but it is like $300
