Hey Jennifer, I love your content. I am a 20 year old and you are my role model. I am just wondering what you think about the toxic ingredients in skincare. I have a very similar skincare routine as you (cerave moisturiser, differin, a sunscreen in the morning) but I recently discovered that these products all are quite toxic and have endocrine disrupting ingredients. I have hormonal issues, so I am debating if I should stop using the skincare products I’m using now and opt for more natural products like beef tallow or castor oil etc for the face. I have acne and rosacea so definitely don’t want to make these conditions worse, but at the same time, the skincare products I’m using now may be adding to the internal issues that are causing my skin to break out (hormonal and gut issues). Just wanted to ask what you think and why you chose to use these ingredients like cerave when they are rated very poorly on apps like Yuka and think dirty, which are apps that tell you how harmful the ingredients in products are. Thank you, Angel x

Jennifer, how do you wash your silk/wool items? I am quite interested in investing a number of silk pieces but the idea of washing them by hand regularly is just frankly repulsive to me. I do not have that kind of time/energy available for my clothing, and I am curious to learn how you end up doing this. Please let us know!!
@Jasmine-in-my-mind7 ай бұрын
I'm not Jennifer but I can tell you that I regularly wash my silk pillowcases in the washing machine. I use the gentle cycle and warm water and Woolite detergent. Then hang to dry. For clothing, I do the same except that I iron the clothing on the silk setting while it's still slightly damp (but not dripping) in order to prevent wrinkles. Be aware that washing silk can change the surface texture of the fabric, sometimes making it less shiny; so if you absolutely don't want it to change the surface of the fabric, you might prefer to take it to a professional cleaner.

I got rid of the black in my wardrobe and I’m so glad I did. Black looks great on you, but I wouldn’t call it a staple, as there are some undertones that black does not work with. Same with any high contrast stripes or high contrast outfits. You have high contrast - dark hair and pale skin - high contrast is great for you! I am very low contrast blonde and fair- low contrast clear color as well as ivory and the other neutrals I mentioned look best on low contrast fair skin/ hair. Women 😊✅💗

So you are using the tretinoin on your eye area if I saw correctly. What do you think about retinol eye creams? I started to use tretinoin %0.05 a year ago and I am 43 now. In parallel to tretionin I am using la roche posay redermic retinol eye cream. an on top of it I am using this castor oil, yet I have crow feets .. And you used lactic acid cream on your neck after tretionin. Is it because you can tolarate it? Do you use for your body lactic acid serums or glycolic acid serums/ tonics ? or for your face have you tried such other AHA / BHA acid serums ? I have acne scars on my cheecks and thinking about chemical peeling one day in a week by breaking everyday use of tretinoin. Do you think tretionin is better than such acids ?

Jennifer, I don't mean to sound rude, but I do have a question. The shape of your face is wider than when you were younger, specifically at the jawline. That is unusual. Your chin was much more prominent , and your jaw less so. Have you had any facial injections, surgeries or treatments that have changed the shape of your face? If you have not, is there something to what you attribute that change? If it's too personal, please don't feel you need to answer.
