I really appreciate how you don't shy away from promoting meat. Nowadays it seems like everyone promoting "healthy" eating has to speak against meat, seemingly just because it's popular instead of understanding the importance of the nutrition in meat that we need.

5:23- talking about the bagged tuna... I thought she said it comes in a "terrible" bag, then realized she said "tear-able" like easy to tear open 😅 yes I love these for a quick snack at work!
@celticlass8573 Жыл бұрын
I'd love to see a version of this video, which talks about things you can make at home to fill that protein/fat void. I realize this video is quite valuable to a lot of people who won't or can't add more work to their already crazy day. For people like me though, who want to avoid all the unnecessary packaging (especially the difficult-to-recycle pouches), I'd much rather make several servings of something at home. For instance, I've made the "cheese crisps" at home for years, and it's literally 5 minutes of work. And I'm sure a whole lot cheaper than buying them. Actually that is another thing that would be valuable: a video on making your own batches of snack stuff, and comparing the money spent making it, vs how much it would cost to buy it already made. Another example of that is the egg bites. Just a few moments of work to make them at home, and they would be *MUCH* cheaper. With inflation and cost of living the way it is right now, the majority of us are looking to save anywhere we can.

A while back I said that LMNT gave me stomach aches but since that time I’ve found out it wasn’t the LMNT. I just wanted to clear that up because I felt bad that I blamed it on the LMNT. My stomach is super sensitive and I’ve realized that I cannot eat anything that’s at all processed. I can drink LMNT again without stomach aches because I am only eating a whole food diet. It’s frustrating not to be able to eat anything that has been processed but that’s where I’m at right now.

Can you do another video with only natural options? Beef jerky has a ton of added sodium and other conservants.
@magdadom25055 күн бұрын
I'm doing beef jerky at home now and it's actually very easy... You just need to buy raw beef, chop it in slices (which doesn't even need to be turbo slim, however chips like shape is preffered - just keep them below 1 cm thin), then you do marinate (I'm working on that so I can't fully recommend anything, but one of the simplest is just soy sauce and packaged herb mix for beef) and you leave meat to marinate overnight (prefferably 12-24h). Then you just put it into some food dryer... Can be air fryer, can be regular oven if you don't have anything else. I have cheap dehydrator (bought it for mushrooms) and I'm putting beef on 5-6 hours on 70 degrees (this will depend on device) and each hour I'm changing layers to bake it evenly. In the middtime I'm doing my weekly chores like laundry, vacuuming etc. or just chilling in home, so this couple hours fly fast and I have portion for 2 people for full work week... It's even better than beef jerky from store, much cheaper and IMO very easy to do, so I recommend it. It can last up to 2 weeks stored in fridge (but I'll quarantee, that it won't last longer than a week, haha)

Hi Autumn, I know you focus on getting enough protein but how much fat should we be eating per day? Thanks
@AutumnBates Жыл бұрын
Fat is more of a "satiety filler". So the amount one person needs will be much different than another. Even from day to day, your needs might change. For example, during the one week before a period starts, women's hunger tends to go up. This usually necessitates eating an additional 1 serving of fat at each meal to compensate. Or if you're exercising harder on certain days, this will also dictate your needs on that day. I don't have a video that specifically dives into this topic, but I do discuss this in my programs.
