Great to see Pimax getting more mainstream popularity, best gaming and simulation PC VR headsets on the market for sure

Where have you been looking. Pimax is heavy, uncomfortable, and the firmware and software miles behind the rest.

@@HarvickOne For only two displays in the (big) box, it's always too heavy and too expensive...Even the video controller is still a DP1.4...Where is the DP2.1 !? Absolutely necessary for their next device, the crystal Super, if you don't want to have massive compression...

@2:00 guy says it correct : IT FEELS LIKE IN A CAR. Before I got Crystal light I watched many VR videos on youtube, everyone says it’s immersive. I would never imagine it does feel like that. IT DOES FEEL LIKE IN A REAL CAR (just without gforces). Only when you try driving in VR you realise how amazing, what a magic trick it is. It struck me when rewatching replay of my driving in Assetto Corsa Nordschleife Alfa romeo Mito QV city car - I watched it in VR and then watched on flat screen. Flat screen replay felt like watching cheap lifeless anime cars racing around, VR felt like watching real movie/dash cam image.

Yes, Pimax is a great headset for SIM racing, but I also get enjoyment in SIM racing using my Quest 3, which I also use for other action gaming's. I know the Quest 3 does not have the wide FOV like PIMAX, but it is good enough for me to get the immersion of being in a Race Car. Only thing i don't like about Pimax headsets is the bulky size that we would have to wear on our heads. Not sure if that is a problem or strain if doing long races online. Thanks for the video.

Crystal Light is my first VR ever. I use it for simracing, it does not feel heavy or uncomfortable after I bought studiofoam face pad what keeps face cool and comfortable. I can’t feel bulkiness but I’m not sure if I would want to run around and jump around in any VR headset at all.

simracing is a perfect use for VR. VR is already nearly perfect for simracing. Even VR headset weight isn't an issue because we race with heavy helmets already irl

I tried ETS 2 on my Pico 4 few days ago, because my TV had some stuttering problems. And man, I will never go back to 2d for this game. That's why I ordered Crystal light today. Big thanks to Jennifer from Pimax discord for helping me out.

The only HMD there? Cool but, were Crystal OGs brought along or was wired VR the focus, like exclusively 'cockpit' simulator styled experiences? As I want things more like Job Simulator, or more room scale or wider simulator, is that possible demo too?

There was the 60G Airlink and Og Crystal in the Airbnb but it's not relevant tech for simracing imo. It'll be demod later this month in Europe.

Great stuff pimax. One reason I bought in was they are the only company taking VR seriously for enthusiasts. Being the only VR presence, this speaks volumes of the state of VR and pimax as a stand out manufacturer.

Could someone answer if the Crystal light vibrates and blurs out on a motion rig like the original Crystal, or has that been fixed?

What do you think about the Conspit 290GP?
@JaapGrollemanАй бұрын
Their wheel bases are pretty good. Pedals as well. The haptic feedback is nice. IMO the wheel base is the most important thing, the 10nm Ares is strong enough for me.

Why VR in general? Because is far better than any type of physical flatscreen in millions of more ways you can use it as viewing something.

Sadly I live in Austria, so I can't visit Events like that all the time, I was at Gamescom 2 times, the last year and this year, also wanna visit it next year, but beside that, I never visited Germany for multiple years, other events I will attend are Comic Con in Vienna next month and Hanamikon in Graz in March(I think)

PSVR2 would be the most affordable one. You get oled response time + direct displayport connection @120hz, and fresnel is not as bad for simracing. Where I live cheapest pimax is 50% more expensive, which is understandable with the better tech, but for some might tip the scale

I have both Crystal light and PSVR2 with adapter. I wanted to send crystal Light back because as for money PSVR2 is amazing, I can’t ask anything more. Kept Crystal light and at the moment playing only Crystal light and only sim racing. Love the real life feel dash cam type image versus PSVR2 colourful game type image. Somehow when play Crystal light it feels more realistic, although blacks in night Nordschleife are better in PSVR2. Can see light projectors beam going up from house in woods what you can’t see in Crystal light in any dimming selection. Can see inside car different levels of black details and just outside car door different shades and is easier to judge apex in night. But Crystal Light is my choice of VR, I think also because it’s dedicated PC VR with Pimax Play software amazing, settings and support and on going development. With PSVR2 I had really really bad time setting it up and multiple times asking for room reset, controllers wee playing up and after setting it I tried few races and gave up. What also changed my mind towards Crystal Light was when I tried PSVR2 in Assetto Corsa and then Lemans Ultimate - the colours looked pretty much same in both games - exactly as in GT7 grand turismo as somebody said., oversaturated, like a game. crystal Light Le Mans Ultimate feels professional, like a clean clinical, very sharp, real image.

Because your the only company in vr with some serious QC issues that need to convince people it works, of course with some very carefully selected headsets. I couldnt believe how bad mine was and how long it took to get refunded

This is miss advertising yes this is a problem not everyone will encounter but should be more talked about. On bucket seat rigs depending on your position PIMAX LIGHT rear head strap is to thick which end up your head pushing for ward and creates massive discomfort. But headset is rather really good!
