I've just recently pre-ordered 57ppd veraion and now opens 50ppd. Damn. Would there be users who are more happy with 57ppd than 50ppd with bigger fov? Will we be able to see that extra 7ppr difference? Be great for those who have already pre-ordered had an option to swipe pre-order from 57 to 50 ppd

I think it would be nice for simmers to have an option without the controllers and save some money there.

I would wait till reviews are out in January. To see if the optics are as good as they say and if it runs all good. Plus I would never listen to what Sebastian says on the MRTV KZbin channel. He makes every headset out to be amazing and overhypes every headset. Worst reviewer out there.

What sucks a bit is, that Pimax completely ignores AMD cards. I know about the need for DSC but AMD also offers that. They even already feature DP2.1

Which GPU, CPU, memory...computer would you recommend to run the crystal super at its max?

Now that the bugs seem to be under control, the size is what turns off a lot of people for sure. The crystal light looks like it didnt need to go into such a large housing. It looks like a very old attempt at a vr headset being that big. What exactly is in this thing that makes it way bigger than anything else out there?

Also if someone pre ordered the 57PPD but wanted the 50PPD what do they do? Cancel the 57PPD and re pre order?

399 euro is not 50% of what we paid, it is 33%. I paid 1200 euro for mine and was promised the full value for trade in.

You mentioned as long as a problem is reported before the end of the warranty, but that's not nearly enough and still a HUGE problem. Even that recent little fiasco pointed out the glaring issues. If you sent people a new headset to replace an one one that warranty needs to reset. If you can't bear to stand by even a one year warranty with these it says a lot about what you think of the quality of the refurbs you're sending out to people and how long you expect them to last.

Displort 1.4a will be a bottel neck. Is it so much more expensiv to build in the 2.1 displayport? For me is that the reason why i dont buy the crystal super.

we were promised 100% of the purchase value of the 8kx will go towards the 12k. 399$ is alot less than 50% of that

Sounds like a lot of promises to allow trying out the headset, and even attempting to fix/debug it and having that return window reset. Something tells me that is going to be a huge point of contention when stuff starts happening.

I really appreciate the advantage of 12 %, plus the benefit of 399 $ for Crystal light owners when ordering a Pimax Super 👌 But one question I still have: I am using prescription lenses (from vroptiker) for my Pimax Crystal and Crystal light. Will they work with the Pimax Super too or is the size of the lenses different from the other ? Thx for the informations 🙏

One such scenario where I feel Pimax Prime can be exploited is the 2nd hand market. Where a seller is subscribed to prime and has perhaps 18 months left but claims they paid for the full prime and sells it to a buyer. Poor fella has to pay prime on the seller's behalf while paying 2nd hand price.

Support using the Quadviews companion 2. Super a. 72Hz works fine for me. b. I ordered the super, but I wanted the 50 + wide. I’m concerned my 4090 can’t run 57 PPD. How do I switch my order from 57 to 50 ? c. If I keep my 57 ppd, how much will it cost me to go from 57 to 50 ? 3. Waited a long time for my promised 35 wide fov lenses. I think you should provide reimbursement toward the super as an option, and it should be more than $50…

I already pre ordered the 57ppd version, but I am more interested in the 50ppd version due to the wide fov. If i cancel my 57ppd order and order the 50ppd, will I still be in the first batch of the 50ppd? I reserved back in April, so I don't want to get kicked to the back of the line by re-ordering. Basically, what im asking is, will canceling my order void my reservation when I re-order the 50ppd?

Thanks for the update Jaap. Certainly the most open company iv come across in this industry. Only the rumours of previous quality issues and customer support is tarnishing the brand name. My question would be. If you preorder the 57ppd or 50ppd lenses. Is the price the same?? If there is an issue on reciept of either headset of the headset will there be an option to change the engine for the other at little or no cost?? Im very tempted by the 50ppd 135 fov panel personally.

Whenever I buy the Crystal super I may just buy the Qled version with aspheric lenses. I really don’t like the glare and polarizers on pancake lenses. It gets in the way of the display when I watch tv on BigScreen and you lose a lot of color detail due to polarizers in the pancake lenses

I think it would be good if you could not just share FOV values for the headsets, but also the values for the binocular overlap. So can you share the values for the binocular overlap for 50 ppd vs 57 ppd?

Hi. If the Chrystal Super has the same default speakers as the C. Light than it is not true, that the default speakers are good enough. They are more worth than on every low budget headset on the market. DMAS is perfect and should be the default on your high level headset. Not only for pre order.

Good info. Thanks. Are you going to re-start production of the original Crystal for folks who want a wireless Crystal? imho I think you should try for optional wireless functionality for all future headsets regardless of resolution even if it requires compression or upscaling.
